this was extremely helpful. I needed to remove a broken stem from the VX42E. The only tricky part were the 5 center gears and the stem-holder above the plastic gear. I couldn't tell which direction they went. Is there a tutorial on which directions the center gears go? This is my first time disassembling a movement. I'm only hearing a tick every 2 seconds and the new stem isn't holding 2nd position.
@@SolimBD Thank you. There wasn't specifically a VX42 movement but I could see the Epson's were basically the same design. Sorry for being irate. I had been trying for a while to remove the stem without luck to clean a filthy lens. Job done without without the watch being thrown through a window 😂. Thanks again for the reply 👍

Very helpful video! do you have any videos on what to lube up for the gears etc for this movement? Don't think I saw any?
No need, a new one costs just a few bucks. It's not worth it.
Cheers!
Great video, but does the movement work after you have disassembled and reassembled it? if it does could you please show it going at the end.
That's the point of a service 😊
