Sir is committing suicide still a crime ? As you mentioned in example of petty crimes? Please clarify?
The offence of ‘attempt to commit suicide’ has been deleted in the BNS,
2023.
A new
Section 226 has been added in the BNS, 2023 to punish those who attempt to commit suicide with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one
year, or with fine, or with both, or with *community service* .

@14:18 i didn't understand the fact about the JSvsUOI case where the adultary is decriminalised under sec498 of ipc whereas the BNS2023 crminalises the adultary .Then how it is implementing the SC judgement as it is opposing it
Adultery is not a crime as per BNS.
This nomenclature is so hard I don't understand what's up with this hindification
