I have spilled ink on my dog. Short story. I had a yellow labrador. A great dog but always hungry. I was in the kitchen cleaning and planning on inking up a pen with a 4ml sample of Emerald 9f Chivoire. I had the ink sample open and turned to find my lab underfoot hoping for a snack. The whole.sample vial fell on his back. We went outside and he got to play in the hose. He was still blue/green and sparkly for over a week. It did come off the kitchen floor with a little work.
My daughters boyfriend collects fountain pens. I love pens and paper, etc. but haven’t used a fountain pen. On Mother’s Day, they gave me my first fountain pen, filled with a beautiful ink, from his collection. It was a perfect fit! It’s only been a few weeks, but I’m pretty much only using FP’s. I got a few inexpensive FP’s and small bottles of ink. So fun. Love you guys!
I love how you guys are able to tell your story about getting into fountain pens with as much passion as ever, even though you answered it a hundred times before, and bringing something new to the discussion every single time. For me, I had used calligraphy pens before, but I had never considered using them as a daily experience. One day, I opened a drawer of pens to try and find one that worked, but every single pen I picked up wasn't working. I immediately decided to throw them away and get my first fountain pen, simply because I was sick and tired of having drawers and pens that didn't work. Then when I wrote with it, I was in love.
Similar to Brian's story, I got into fountain pens back in 2020 when we had more time to sit around at home.😉My IG feed was filled with journal friends showing off and raving about how much they love their TWSBIs. Decided to see what the "hype" was all about, and fell fast & deep into the fp rabbit hole. ✍The variety of pen designs, inks, and certain paper combination made my journal hobby so much more fun during such a challenging time. Ever since then, I've been a (TWSBI) fp lover and can certainly see the hype surrounding fountain pens! Plus, the community is just so encouraging, helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive! 💖🥰
Had a Rotring 600 fountain pen in the 90's it ended up accidentally going through the wash and dryer. Didn't ruin the laundry, but did destroy the feed and nib. (yes it was on my tab to repair)
Listening to the pencast while sitting with my new, semi-feral cat. She is totally relaxed for the first time and I've just heard her snore. Perfect podcast, and now officially feral-cat-approved!
The number of times both Brian and Drew forget that the TWSBI Precision exists, a pen that has been for sale on their site for years now, will never not make me smile.
Brian, you have achieved a thing I first heard of as a knitter with yarn: SABLE, Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy. I agree, clearing out all the stuff in my parents' house after my mom died made me go through a series of purges. Also I have periodic political panic where I feel imprisoned by my stuff and unable to consider fleeing the country, which is a whole other issue....
Thank you for answering my question! I started this journey in March of this year and I agree that the fountain pen community is absolutely amazing. And the passion for the hobby is contagious!
Brian, that I-just-drank-some-room-temperature-coffee face you made reminded me of Drew's face on Pencast 100 when you said you would give him a Delta Amalfi. 😂😂
Brian, you should read this book called the gentle art of Swedish death cleaning. It is not as morbid as it sounds. It's a very good book that addresses the things that are important to you vs clutter. I'm 40, I've been married 20 years, raised two kids and moved to different countries due to our lives in the military. We have accumulated a lot of stuff and feel it's time to declutter. This book has been a great resource. You are never too young to go through this process.
Aren’t they Jowo though? Is there a large difference? Sorry, kinda new to all this and don’t know much about how different some nibs might be able to get,
I gifted a pen to one of my friends - a Scriveiner Copper EDC that I was no longer using. I gave him some Diamine Red Dragon to use with it. He left it in his pocket, and after it was ran through his washer and dryer, the ink leaked out and stained all of the clothes a light pink... when he saw the pen, I kid you not, the nib was folded back around the feed. Funnily enough, he managed to ply the steel back in place, giving him a tremendously scratchy stub... but it was pretty much done for.
I like Drew's idea for a pasta pen. The idea reminded me of the customizable travel mugs that are made of a double-walled clear plastic and you can slip a piece of paper in between to add your own design. I'd love that in a pen so I could change out the look with anything I could print on a piece of paper (or glitter papers, textured papers, etc).
The cleaning after death reminds me of swedish death cleaning! Its when you clean with your passing in mind, so you do not burden those left behind with your stuff.
MANY years ago, my girlfriend was living in France, I was living in Mexico. She sent me a fountain pen as a gift: a beautiful steel Waterman. I had no idea how to use the pen, but I inked it up and never looked back. Still have that pen, too.
I love your career stories Brians. I bought a fountain pen just for the heck of it when I was flush...didn't last long, I didn't know what I was doing and somehow lost it. That was in the 70s. Now I'M IN MY 70s and I have a fountain pen passion like never before. Sadly, I'm on a fixed income rather than being flush so I have to be careful with purchases. But I'm makin' 'em.
The pencast is the highlight of Friday, perfect start of the weekend. I'm glad you're still doing it and hope you keep doing it :) While listening to the question about nib wetness, I have a related sort of more subjective question. Which nib (medium, broad, stub, ...) you think better displays properties of ink? Or does this differ by property? Like are stubs better for shading, but broads for sheen/shimmer? Is there some property of the nib that shows the ink the best (wetness, wide line,...)?
You actually sell the TWISBI Precision $80. I have written eloquently about it in these comments more than once! I have had it inked up since purchase from you over a year ago. It is 100% reliable. My edc pen in spite of my many other pens at ten times the price. I'm shocked Drew doesn't have one since it is a handsome brushed brown finish.
Another episode where afterwards I sit up in bed researching weird stuff. This time, it's Coprolites, (fossilised dinosaur dung). For some bizarre reason, where we live in Royston, England, in the town centre, we have a bronze sculpture of coprolites, and thanks to the pencast, I now know why. Apparently, in the 19th century, there was a big local industry around coprolite mining, as it was found to be a very good fertiliser. Who knew? Well, now I do, thanks to Brian's reference when discussing odd materials to manufacture pens from😊😊 Thanks guys, informative and entertaining as ever.
Drew: The base element for Damascus is iron. The folding traps carbon in the layers making steel. It's one of the earliest processes for making steel before the invention of the Bessemer process. I can see how you could accomplish it, but it would be a lot of work and would be a really heavy pen. For glass, if you could get "Gorilla Glass" (Owens-Corning brand name) in rods I could see it working. Gorilla glass is very commonly used in mobile phone screens. For a more practical crystaline option I would suggest aluminium oxide. The mineral is known as Corundum or Sapphire. Being very durable, but easier to work than diamond (also cheaper) I think it would be a good option. I know you can get lab created rods. Great work guys, love the show.
Drew, always LOVE your shirts! Thanks Brian and Drew for great pencasts and products. I’ve got things on my wishlist for when I get over my Lamy spending binge this month. I’m still overwhelmed with the Lamy, but at least I have given my pens from my collection some overdue TLC, and I promised them I’d use them (an aside whisper: “when I’m done loving on the new Lamy pens”). Yeah, they’re nice too. And they’re jealous.
Super presentation of the Signature Nib from Pilot. I LOVE Pilot pens but I also love stubs so this demo was perfect for me to get a sense of this nib. Really appreciate it.
Speaking of old woods and being grounded in reality. I have a wood fountain pen made from the wood from an olive tree in Bethlehem and using this pen makes me feel connected to the distant past and my faith. I’d love to change out the nib for a Goulet stub nib! I’m so excited about the rose tea that I cannot even stand it! So exciting!!!
👍🏾 Drew, when you started talking about retro Tupperware in a pen, I immediately thought it wouldn't be much different than a matte LAMY Safari - just gotta get the right colors. 😏
I was checking on line this morning not finding the podcast. Even checked last week's to see if they had announced there would not be one for next week (this week). Just started watching today's so have not heard if they were just late in uploading or what.
I recently left my prized and only fountain pen, a Montblanc 149 clipped to the collar of my t shirt while i ran it through the wash. luckily it was set to warm but the cap did manage to loosen itself completely off from the pen and empty an entire fresh filling of jacques herbin's Blue Ocean(No staining on any of my clothes) leaving my nib vulnerable to being bent. as it was, curved upwards resembling a hook. i took it to a local nibmeister in Victoria B.C. "Simply the best". and he further damaged my pen by attempting to to manipulate my gold nib while it was still attached to the pen, leaving gouges on the bottom side of the feed. the nibmeister refused to take accountability for gouging my feed. it is now being serviced with MontBlanc directly. hoping it comes back writing like it did before. PS: got myself a pilot preppy 0.5 to use until i get my 149 back and i can't believe amazing it flows
I have other, what I call, "old school" hobbies. My ideal moment in life is to be sitting in my leather, wingback chair, journaling with a Pineider Quill nib, and my grandchildren run up to me and say, "Gigi! Read us this Christmas book?" I'll take the leather-bound book, pull out my churchwarden pipe, stuff it with tobacco, and read to them by the fire. Thats happiness!
Speaking of old woods and being grounded in reality. I have a wood fountain pen made from the wood from an olive tree in Bethlehem and using this pen makes me feel connected to the distant past and my faith. I’d love to change out the nib for a Goulet stub nib!
Brian and Drew, one of these days could you do a comparison of the nibs in the Sailor KoP and the #30 nib in the Pilot Custom Urushi? I got the KoP this year (which I absolutely love) and I have been hooked on the Custom Urushi for a fair while, but the nib counts to me more than anything else when I am considering a pen to purchase. I would appreciate your take on the nibs before I save up for the Urushi!
Would that be almost like the 2 Lamy Safari's released maybe 3 years ago in the orange and olive green? But not the same without the little squiggly design 😊
time for a visit to the Goulet Pens washeteria for testing! Start with something kind of benign like a yellow, and end with Baystate Blue! Full load of white towels!
I’ve tossed a couple of fountain pens in the washing machine - a Pilot Custom 743 and a Diplomat Aero. They both came through it fine. My clothes needed rewashing after the 743 incident; there was a fair bit of red on some of them. There was no leakage at all from the Aero.
I for one would totally be down with an April fools pencast where you don't talk about pens at all, or something else off the cuff where you play with viewer's expectations. That would be really funny
2:21:22 Arizona. I live in Tucson, and they’re common here and the Phoenix metro area. Many neighborhoods have community pools and most of the apartment complexes.
I’m kinda impressed that Brian doesn’t delegate cleaning his pens to the customer care team “so you can talk customers through the process for different pens”.
I will admit...my Traveler's Brass Fountain Pen went through the washer and dryer. Just because it has a clip, Brian, doesn't mean it cannot be overlooked LOL. After a thorough checking and a bit of love and care, it worked like a champ and still goes on many adventures with me.
Kohakuto is kind of like a gummy candy, with a crunchy shell on the outside. Like you mentioned, it’s agar jelly so not the same texture as a gummy candy in the US. A lot of Asian desserts use red beans and black beans. If you’ve had a sesame ball, the filling is usually lotus paste or black bean or red bean paste. Sesame balls are from China, but the filling is similar to desserts from other Asian cultures that use red bean and black bean paste :)
good call on the Pilot Signature nib on print Drew! That Beef Nuggets really show the quirk of Pilot gold nibs that I frankly don't always really dig because of the variation, its hard to be NOT inconsistent because I'm too used to Sailor nibs writing so lightly with a grippy feedback. Perhaps the Signature nib's variation makes user's unique hand even more emphasized, not necessarily just for writing signatures
2:16:38 I got a job at a home improvement store after my first year of college in 1992. I bought a Super Soaker with my first paycheck. They are so much fun!
The new Benu Euphoria Rose Tea looks beautiful. I recently got the Goldspot exclusive Pink Champagne and I'm not sure if these are too similar pink pens for me to have both. Need to see more photos or a more in depth video.
By bean paste, they mean adzuki bean, which is used to make a sweet paste used in everything from rice cakes and mochi to ice cream and bingsu to just slathered on bread with salted butter. It's used in a lot of Asian dishes and desserts, and I believe it went to Japan through Korea and China as it was a mainland dish for a long time. Just like chocolate, it isn’t sweet by itself but works well with sugar and tastes great. I bet Brian would love it as it’s amazing with chocolate.
I've been looking for a pink fountain pen and the Benu Rose Tea is it. So excited that it's a special edition between Benu and Goulet Pens! I'm here for it!
So after I put platinum carbon black into my platinum EF nib, I FELL IN LOVE. The nib feels smoother and wetter for some reason. However - the line is slightly thicker. I don't have the UEF but tempted to get one to use with my carbon black.
Did you forget to upload this pencast to Spotify again Drew? 🙂 I was very sad on Friday when my drive home from work could not be graced by the pencast...
@@Gouletpens Totally understand, just had to needle you a bit there. Started listening to it yesterday on the way home from work and was very happy 🙂 Thanks to you and Brian for making such entertaining pen content!!
Brian, whatever you do, don't get rid of the Corelle stuff. Corning sold off the dishes/pots business. They're doing networking products now. The new stuff is garbage. I have Corning pots that are 50+ years old and they're in great shape. The new stuff breaks if you look at it the wwrong way.
Growing up in southern California, our family went to Disneyland every summer. As we neared the park, dad would ask us to tell him when we saw the Matterhorn. All us kids would race to be the first to spot it. When I got older, I realized that by the time he asked us to point it out, he could already see it. It was his version of a dad-joke prank. Reading all the comments pointing out that you carry the twsbi precision is giving me dé·jà vu! 😂 Now that I'm typing this, I'm wondering if they know that you know and it's all one big joke... 🤯😂🤯
My favorite parts of this pencast: 1) The marvel of what it would be like to stand in front of a 4,000 year-old tree, how significant that is at the same time as how insignificantly small we are in the universe. 2) The pasta pen idea "Fountain Penne" 3) The statistical thought provoking question of why haven't we accidentally put our foot into the pocket of our pants by mistake.
Sailor Mochi pens! Married to a Korean and there are a number of cross-overs in food. The bean paste you were referring to is made from sweet beans, not Western-minded chili beans or whatever you picture when you think of beans. If you've had a variety of mochi (not the ice cream variations) you've eaten bean paste. Sometimes it's red bean paste - sweet, but it can also be green - very sweet. Highly recommend if you ever have a chance to try or access to a Japanese or Korean bakery!
@@Gouletpens You need to send Brian the next time he goes to Northern Virginia to either HMart (prepared foods section) or to Shilla Bakery or Tous les Jours Bakery and asked them to for something called Mammoth Bread. It's pastry with chantilly cream and red bean paste or the Korean type mochi, Tteok (pronounced dduk). So, so good! Not sure if you have many Korean options in your part of Virginia.
53:00 Flames do produce different temperatures, but the temperature is based on what fuel is burning, not the size of the flame. The flame size does determine total heat energy output though.
I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure if it was this episode or a previous episode when you guys were talking about dream mashups, but I definitely thought about Chuck Taylor's. Canvas pen with a rubber grip section? Bright red for preference. Could have an All-Star on the top, on that little flat portion that I can't remember the word for.
Heya Drew and Brian you actually sell the Twsbi Precision.😊 I really love my 1.1mm stub. This pen is a lightweight brushed metal pen in a very light brown and the same shape as the Twsbi Classic. You actually did a pen spotlight on it I'm pretty sure we'll over a year ago.
One of my clients put a Montblanc 149 in the washer. It did not leak and cap holdup well. But it became very deform, and it is impossible to correct deformation. 😟
Absurd materials for pens: I know it sounds morbid, but cremated remains would be an interesting inclusion. People get jewelry made that contain a loved ones' ashes, so why not a custom pen?
Combining Brian's amber idea and Drew's empty cavity to put a small amount of sand etc., how about a pen that will take different types of blind caps. There could be an actual amber one with bug fragments, a clear one with a cavity to put tiny things in, as well as other type with small fragments, with a standard thread so the cap or filler could be swapped out as desired. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the Retro 51 Whimsy!
Hey Brian and Drew -- question: how does one know whether a bulb syringe is dry and safe for storage? Also, how does one know when it's time to change a bulb syringe? Cheers
Brian, the wood you've acquired has a name. It's ca!!ed SABLE: Stash Acquired Beyond Life Expectancy. My husband's is like yours, wood and tools. Mine is cloth, yarn, and leather. Ours is fountain pens and ink. I feel so bad for our sons.
Yep. My wife has exceeded yarn SABLE and I'm well over ink SABLE. These are facts we know, but refuse to acknowledge for the other, because of our own stashes.
The time stamps are off. When I click on a time stamp, you’re already in the question/segment so I have to manually go back some time (didn’t count how much) to get to that segment’s staring point.
I had accidentely washed a 30y.o. Pelikan M200 in a washing machine. In general it survived quite well. But after that happened the pisten sqeeked while refilling. Over time an with the help of cosmetic vaseline based creme the issue resolved itself.
A short pen cast would likely make me cry. A ten hour long pen cast should be your prank. We won’t have to worry for some time yet about short pencasts…it’s only June. Only thing that happens in June is Pride. And final exams. As a chemistry guy, inks are my thing. I went from mixing acids to medication to ink. I also have the solution to your name problem: the Stationery Spotlight. Alliteration AND a suitable title. Speaking of which, have you ever done a paper comparison? As in, paper A is best for everyday work, paper B is best for cheap stocking, paper C is best for a gift, etc. I watched a BestPen video a few days ago and wondered if you’d be able to put in your input on the subject!
For a pen spotlight could you please consider showing and comparing the Esterbrook Model J Antique Rose, Model J Pumpkin latte and the Jr Pocket pumpkin latte. They are all so beautiful but I can’t decide which one I like more!
Brian, if you like the idea of a damascus pen, take a look at the Japanese metalworking technique of mokume gane. It's similar to damascus but made by layering dissimilar metals like copper, steel, and gold instead of different alloys of steel.
My original Lamy Vista was ruined by hot water. Definitely not boiling, but it melted like an ice cream cone. On the other hand, I have put two safaris through an entire wash and dry cycle and they were fine. I did lose one garment in the process though.
Question: which screw cap pens have the fewest turns? I find the seal on snap caps can be insufficient, but I don’t wanna keep turning the screwcap for quick notes in a meeting - it distracts my co workers.
Agar is a firm gelatin derived from seaweed. Kohakuto is a similar texture to those orange jelly fruit slice candies if I remember right. Tsukimi means moon and dango are rice dumplings on a stick, this emoji 🍡 Bean paste does have sugar in it, I’ve also seen vanilla added. Adzuki beans are the red beans used. I’m not the biggest fan of it except for in the red bean and white chocolate Kit Kats from Japan, those are really good.
I have one pair of shorts that's stained. It wasn't in the wash though, it was a retro 51 rollerball that leaked on me. I no longer use those refills. All the fountain pens I use and somehow I've never had a washing machine incident.
Most if the Benu pens (M and B, anyway) are really wet. Non standard favorite nibs are Waverley, Music, Architect and, of course, the Mag 600. And, of course, the Franklin-Christoph SIG nibs (smoother than a crisp italic).
There are US retailers who sell the 70mL Namiki/Pilot bust-shape bottles standalone(I bought one two months ago, so it wasn't just a fake listing), so perhaps it would be a good idea to check with your distributor to see if something has changed since you last asked.
Drew, hoping Hank did well on his surgery. Does he have to wear the "cone of shame" for awhile? Also, if Archer and you have not seen the film "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" it is a ton of fun. Giant flying robots and a plane that turns into a submarine....with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law...not going to win any awards but a good adventure tale.
ah, my favorite color combo is peach with pink. If you get a chance to do another collab with Benu I would like to place a vote for it! Cezanne roses are my fave but there are many options that would fit the theme
I have had a stroke of genius for the next Goulet exclusive : "THE BENU DREW" infused with one of Drew's loud shirts. I suggest the banana shirt!
I won't ague with that! - Drew
That would be awesome! My wife just suggested a pineapple Benu Drew as well.
Drew is an everyday delight, true. Fits with the theme.
I submit that "Drew Benu" flows better.

I would love to see a porcelain pen with that blue pattern that everyone's grandparents had on their casserole dishes....you know the one! 😂
A blue and white would be gorgeous!
delft blue!
Corning Ware?
Leonardo makes the most consistently wet nibs I own, I keep hoping Goulet will pick them up!
YES, Please!

I’m still overwhelmed with the Lamy, but at least I have given my pens from my collection some overdue TLC, and I promised them I’d use them (an aside whisper: “when I’m done loving on the new Lamy pens”). Yeah, they’re nice too. And they’re jealous.
I got interested in FP by watching this UA-cam channel ! It appeared on my feed one day and I found it amazing!
Cheers From California 😎
Super presentation of the Signature Nib from Pilot. I LOVE Pilot pens but I also love stubs so this demo was perfect for me to get a sense of this nib. Really appreciate it.
Glad to hear it was helpful! - Drew
😏
You're not wrong! - Drew
Whew! I was wondering if I'd gotten my days mixed up. So happy to see you.
I was checking on line this morning not finding the podcast. Even checked last week's to see if they had announced there would not be one for next week (this week). Just started watching today's so have not heard if they were just late in uploading or what.
Yeah, sorry for the delay! Had to cut out the Safari stuff at the last minute! - Drew
I have learned so much from your channel. I just ordered a lot of samples from your shop. Cannot wait to watch ink dry.
Yeeessss! Thanks for choosing us! - Drew
Oh noooooooo!!!! - Drew
This is the only podcast I listen to on 1x speed. TGIF and thanks again for posting! ❤
1.5x for me.
Lol, Drew - Brian recently poked fun at you for not knowing about the TWSBI Precision being sold at Goulet just a few episodes ago!
I know, this time it was a joke. Haha! I guess I'm a good actor! ;) - Drew

YES!!!! DREW! I would love a pen of the 70's orange (or green or baby poo yellow😅) tupperware with the burst pattern from the lids on the finial. ❤❤❤
Would that be almost like the 2 Lamy Safari's released maybe 3 years ago in the orange and olive green? But not the same without the little squiggly design 😊
Yeessss! - Drew
time for a visit to the Goulet Pens washeteria for testing!
I love the sparkles in the new Pro Gear Slims
Fountain pen, pocket knife, straight razor user here! Straight razors are beasts at keeping the legs smooth.
Please keep the 2+ hour podcast coming. Lovin' it🤪
We probably couldn't stop if we tried! - Drew
Mr. Brown…you gotta come out to Japan. There’s so many things to try! (Food wise) and see!!!
Thank you! - Drew
Yep, new Pencast segment. "Will it wash (and dry)?"
Will it blend?
Ha ha! My wife put my 823 through the wash twice. No discernable harm done. Fortunately didn't make it into the dryer. It's really clean.
good call on the Pilot Signature nib on print Drew!
Drew I love the keepsake pen idea...this should be a real thing. People also put loved ones ashes in those bracelets etc too
2:16:38 I got a job at a home improvement store after my first year of college in 1992.
Instead of Glas, a Pen made of transparent Aluminium would be awesome. Durable, resistent and light. :-)
Might be cool to have a pen made out of other pens? You could put them in resin and then make the pen bodies from that resin - could be fun!
so the pilot 6.0 parallel will it work as a "dip" for swatching ink that is
By bean paste, they mean adzuki bean, which is used to make a sweet paste used in everything from rice cakes and mochi to ice cream and bingsu to just slathered on bread with salted butter.
Yay! - Drew
So after I put platinum carbon black into my platinum EF nib, I FELL IN LOVE. The nib feels smoother and wetter for some reason. However - the line is slightly thicker. I don't have the UEF but tempted to get one to use with my carbon black.
Can you explain the difference between an extra fine and posting nib on pilot pens like the 743 and 912?
Did you forget to upload this pencast to Spotify again Drew? 🙂 I was very sad on Friday when my drive home from work could not be graced by the pencast...
I had to delay it. Sorry! It's up now! - Drew
A Goulet retro 51 "retro Tupperware" themed pen is something I would pay too much money for
I'll keep that in mind! - Drew
My favorite parts of this pencast:
1) The marvel of what it would be like to stand in front of a 4,000 year-old tree, how significant that is at the same time as how insignificantly small we are in the universe.
2) The pasta pen idea "Fountain Penne"
3) The statistical thought provoking question of why haven't we accidentally put our foot into the pocket of our pants by mistake.
I'd love to try! - Drew

Flames do produce different temperatures, but the temperature is based on what fuel is burning, not the size of the flame.
The flame size does determine total heat energy output though.
Fascinating! - Drew
Why not? - Drew
Those
new pro gear slims are they converter fillable?
Yes, those are cartridge/converter pens! - Drew
Best wishes to Hank for a speedy recovery from his surgery. Give him a kiss on the top of the head from me.
The time stamps are off. When I click on a time stamp, you’re already in the question/segment so I have to manually go back some time (didn’t count how much) to get to that segment’s staring point.
Oh, oops! That's because we made a cut. Sorry about that! - Drew
@@Gouletpens, all good. I may not comment often, but I watch segments of the Pencast every week. I’m looking forward to this week’s pencast.
Hot pink is my jam and I have already ordered the Benu tea rose !
Looks to me like Brian has a wonderful occasion to build a wood shed with the new wood he got!
regarding the wood: Goulet Bookshelves? Pen boxes?
Pilot preppy made with bamboo. Body made from recyclable bamboo straws as body.
For a pen spotlight could you please consider showing and comparing the Esterbrook Model J Antique Rose, Model J Pumpkin latte and the Jr Pocket pumpkin latte. They are all so beautiful but I can’t decide which one I like more!
Certainly! - Drew
I hope Hank's surgery goes well, give him a squeeze and xxx from me Drew
Thank you! - Drew
I got a 743 with a SU nib over the new 823 Signature nib. Just a bit more line variation.
Yay! Pencast time 🥳
I have one pair of shorts that's stained.
What pen would you pass down to your kids? Or take to the grave? Question for everyone!
There are US retailers who sell the 70mL Namiki/Pilot bust-shape bottles standalone(I bought one two months ago, so it wasn't just a fake listing), so perhaps it would be a good idea to check with your distributor to see if something has changed since you last asked.
Thanks for the info! - Drew
❤❤❤❤ happy Friday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
