"Project: Metal Mask" is an MF DOOM remix album created by Justin Parker for Horrible Home Video. Most songs (with the exception of 2) are remixed over DOOM's own beats.
The goal of this album was to create an a collection of songs and skits that would feel like an actual MF DOOM album.

I made this in my spare time over the course of about 6 weeks. As for how I got the vocals, some are available on youtube, but a lot of them I had to isolate the vocals using a few methods (and in some instances, it is not always perfect but it's the best I could do to provide remixes to songs I have not yet heard remixed).

It really does, and using mostly his own beats also creates a familiar vibe that (for me) made it feel like I found this album in an alt dimension

Thanks I appreciate all the help i csn get for this one, and yeah, idk how some worse remix projects are getting 90k plays and they don't even put the mans on beat right. That (btw) was why I made this project, to show it is possible to remix him right (and make skits like he did as a bonus) but I agree the plays are just not there. Just glad the few who find it are digging it. 🙏

These beat selections are so inspired, it's amazing. I've listened to a lot of DOOM remixes and it's rare for one to do anything that really elevates the source material, or even passes the test of just not being objectively worse than it. Multiple tracks on this album easily sail over that bar, higher than any DOOM remix album I can remember from the last 10 years.
