Natal Plum (Carissa macrocarpa) (old name Carissa grandiflora) is an evergreen medium shrub in the Dogbane Family (Apocynaceae) native to Southern Africa. It has fragrant white flowers and tart, edible fruit. It is a common landscape shrub in milder winter areas in coastal Southern California.
