You know what I love about the Metal Gear Franchise?? It wakes people up to what’s really going on, and makes them have to tell themselves that their journey through life is theirs and theirs alone, and that it’s very easy for people to fall into a ways of thinking that’s not truly their own. People have to be strong enough to be able to march to the beat of their own drums, and not fall into manipulative think traps. The times change and so does the culture, but that doesn’t mean that you have to if you believe that you are happy with being the person that you truly are. The choice is always truly yours in the end, and whatever makes you happy keep on fighting for that thing that makes you happy. Always remember that there are others out there that don’t deserve to be treated harshly, they may be stuck in their own personal hells, and don’t know how to ask for help. Try to give them a little bit of humble humility, just so they know that not all of humanity is lost to heartless, cruel, hateful ways of thinking.
My honest feedback: This video is mostly good. There were only two things that stood out to me as errors: 1) You introduce a discussion of sequels that goes nowhere in particular. Although it's true that MGS2 was an intentionally deceptive sequel, it's not really a theme of the game itself nor part of its current relevance. In effect, Kojima was having it both ways; as you point out, he has always wanted to distance himself from just making more Metal Gear, and turning MGS2 into something like an "anti-sequel" allowed him to both provide a sequel as per fan request, but certainly not the particular sequel they asked for. And while that's a really interesting and creative decision on his part, and is worth mentioning, it has little to do with the overall discourse within the video. 2) There are at least two instances where concepts are repeated immediately between two adjacent sentences, which halts the flow of the video. Overall, you did a good job of using game footage (and sometimes footage from outside MGS games) to contextualise your points, so I don't understand why these instances of verbal repetition are in the video given that you've already applied a better technique to reinforce your points. Repetition is a valid (and sometimes even necessary) technique, but immediate repetition is a writing error that results in stilted flow. But most of the video flows pretty well, you should just be a bit more cautious in your script editing process. There's a third point, but this one is a bit softer. Although your English is clearly understandable, there were some instances where you used an incorrect word that sounded similar to the word you were looking for. I've just gone through this whole hour of video so I'm not going to look for specific examples, but this comes back to editing. For me personally, it didn't hurt the experience of this video, but it might hurt you in a professional sense. If you're uncertain of a word's meaning, don't guess, just look it up along with synonyms (words with the same meaning) so you can select the ideal expression of your concept. English is, broadly, the primary language of the internet; if you want to spread your memes, then it will benefit you to improve in this area. All that said, I understand that in order for projects to be completed, you need to set your own deadlines and accept imperfections along the way. A flawed video is better than no video at all, and I respect and appreciate that you spent so much time and energy on not only MGS2, but the significance its themes hold more than 20 years following its release. This was, overall, a good video and I only paused a few times to break despite its length. Although I've spent most of this wall of text offering critique, you shouldn't take that as a sign that your video is overly lacking in quality. Rather, I wrote this out because your video is good enough (and discusses important enough themes) that it has been well worth my own comparatively meagre time and energy to offer feedback, as per your request at the conclusion of the video. Keep it up and keep getting better.
@MadassAlex Holy shit that's some marvelous feedback. I agree 100% with you. I felt really bad about this video while I was editing, and I'm baffled that so many people are genuinely enjoying. But I know that I could make this 1000x better. But your feedback was fantastic, I'm will start to read books in English, a lot of people gave me this advice, hopefully I can make better for the next one, thank you so much for this amazing feedback!
@@Monojuli4n The successes in this video outweigh its issues by a large margin, so I think you should be cautiously proud of the outcome. Let's keep three factors in mind. You made a video 1) 1 hour in length 2) About MGS2 and its themes 3) In your second (or further) language This would be a difficult project with only one of those factors in place. But given all three of those factors, it's impressive that this video came together as well as it did.

@NotyoBizness Oh, thanks for the correction, friend. I never got to play MGS4 because of the PS3 exclusivity, but hopefully, Konami will give us MGS4 on the collection Vol.2
Isn’t the whole series end in some weird AI system that perpetually creates war for profit. It’s hilarious how much these espionage genre plot lines in movies as well have that trope of a secret mercenary or contractor creating a conflict for gain. Kojima has great ideas but boy does it drag on or is paced in a confusing manner or convoluted dialogue. When I was a kid playing mgs4 I remember being so confused. Now as an adult on meth, I’m still confused about stuff but for other reasons. Moral of the story: defense contractors are bad and meth is not a good preworkout 🏋🏻🚫❄️
Hahaha thanks for the comment friend, but yeah, usually spy plots have this conspiracy theory thing into it. But it makes sense since Kojima is a cinephile haha
@serpenticide_555 Probably yes, and also no. I think nowadays it's very hard to create a video that doesn't exist here on UA-cam about any game. It's just my take, and probably a lot of people never played or heard about MGS. The world is a big place c:
Here is your "I'm new to gaming" award. MGS2 is far from the first video game or piece of media from circa y2k the feature these types of topics. But it is the normies favorite choice.

@houragents5490 Yes I know, that's why I put a lot of references from other media like George Orwells and some others. It was never stated that MGS2 was the one and only, just one of them c:

MGS2 is sick and I like your look
MGS also said the world will be controlled by three separate AIs…
MGS also has humans with superpowers too and nanomachines that can make you immortal! WoW! Ha! Checkmate!
You're late to the party but welcome aboard none the less
Thanks friend!
This is really ya'lls first time seeing a video over mgs2 predicting the future? There's like thousands. Lol
@serpenticide_555 Probably yes, and also no. I think nowadays it's very hard to create a video that doesn't exist here on UA-cam about any game. It's just my take, and probably a lot of people never played or heard about MGS. The world is a big place c:
Im going to keep eating eggs and red meat. I was never healthier and happier than I was when I was eating steak and eggs every single day.
@@edwardburns3781 That's it! We just need to make what keep us happier. A happy mind is a healthy one c:
Hideo Kojima called it first
Yes
Here is your "I'm new to gaming" award.
MGS2 is far from the first video game or piece of media from circa y2k the feature these types of topics.
But it is the normies favorite choice.
Just saw the serial Crapcom shilling in your channel so I will be handing you the "Sphere Hunter clone" award as well.
Contra Points -> Philosophy Tube
spHEre (Su-HE) Hunter -> (you) 🫵
@houragents5490 Yes I know, that's why I put a lot of references from other media like George Orwells and some others. It was never stated that MGS2 was the one and only, just one of them c:
@houragents5490 That's a compliment for me. She is one of my biggest references in UA-cam video essays alongside Josh Strife Hayes c:
... how did my local news station become the face of Y2K here? Hell yeah
I knew you had Portuguese speaking accent! Or rather Brazilian right?
@@arealhumanbeing4651 Yeeees, I'm from Brazil c:
cholesterol is good, high cholesterol is even better. you're ngmi if you aren't cholesterolmaxxing. If someone is saying eggs are bad for you, they're full of shit or trying to steal your loosh. You should be eating as many eggs as humanly possible, with as many raw yolks as possible. I'm up to 14 eggs a day and have never felt more alive.
well, another video about mgs2 and AI
Yeah haha, what do you want to see next? Let me know c:

you are totally the first person to think about this, make this statement on the internet and make a video about it
Hahaha imagine! I would get a lot of views, haha. But tell me, friend, what else do you want to see here. This video was requested by my subscribes. Let me know if you have a cool idea c:
you're totally the first person to go comment on repetitive content you have no interest in watching anymore instead of searching for concepts you haven't seen yet
This video was too long, I put it in NotebookLM to get a tldr
this comment answers itself
@@ohime5276 oh i know.
Oh, that's ok. Long video format is not for everyone. Thanks for the comment anyway. It helps a lot cheers!
@@Monojuli4n No prob, its a good video but I think too much of it was just recapping the game instead of talking about its themes
Watching a person like you being so clearly wrapped in self deception describe the themes of this game is insane. Like wake up. You are literally a product of the patriot system. There was no solid snake to stop it. The lalilulelo is already in control and people like you are the product. Break out, please. Be free please.

@sheik_link Thanks friend, you were always a big supporter for the channel, cheers, and thanks for being awesome 🖤🖤🖤
@@Monojuli4n Glad to see the algorithm gave this video some love. You are awesome Girl. Keep it going.
Why are you doing that voice though.
It's a reference from MGS4 Old Snake speech called "War has changed", of course I'm not a voice actor or have a Hadassah voice, but it was fun to try c:
2001: A Space Odyssey did it first.
@kiloware George Wells too haha c:

@@JohnSavis OK, I'm not :c
U shouldve not wasted ma time for 2 mins in beginnin wit random footage, also u talk sooooo slowly
@super.somarion Hi friend, sorry that you didn't enjoy the content. The intro is a reference to MGS4 Old Snake speech called "War has changed," and I thought it was a good idea to do something similar. Maybe you like videos that are more fast-paced, and that's totally fine. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers!
Trying to sound like snake?
@init_yeah Yes and no, in the end, I was just trying to do something similar. I did many takes before this one. It was fun as hell, haha. But I will never be able to come close to David's voice
Stealing Mutahars idea? He released a video like 12 days ago about this very thing.
@GamerToons Hey friend, actually no, this video took me 2 months to edit. And the inspiration for that were many other MGS2 videos talking about the ending c:
With that logic, Mutahar stole Max Derrat's idea.
This type of video was already done a long time ago and this feels like a copy and paste with a more edgy voice. Like bro come on
Sorry that you didn't like the video, I will try to make something more original next time. Thanks for the feedback, cheers!
Just watched mutahars vid about this
@ricksanchez3695 I saw someone commenting about his video here, and I was like, "That was a coincidence," even my title is similar. But I was working on this video in the past 2 months, haha

Metal Gear Solid 2 is a clear case of fraud, and I still want my damn money back
@laurenalexander4438 Can't deny, you're 1000% correct haha
You clearly never understood the game. They tell you that anyone can be Solid Snake if given the right circumstances, the Patriots proved the simulation to be a success in the end.
