- So I've been meaning to have a heavily Kuvira influenced video for a long time and well...here we are.
Man, she's the worst. I know everyone we'll be okay but she is the worst.
And yet still an amazing character. Gahalsdfhalsdakaaasd.
This video was fun to edit but a beast to render. Less than 2 minutes and it took over 3 hours. So just...please bear that in mind.

I wouldn't know too if she really admires Su to the point of that she wants a husband like the husband of Su. And she wants a child with a beifong blood. Also, she might be concerned to Jr's wants and needs, that is to establish his own identity far from his father which is ironic or maybe you have a point, just to piss Su off

Seriously, all of your videos are amazing. Even if this is what? only your 2nd epic AMV, you still pull it off like a pro. And of course, you picked the perfect timing and song for Kuvira. I mean, this song fits Kuvira more than any other villain in LoK. And honestly, I'm kind of hoping we get an explanation for why she's doing what she's doing. Because so far, LoK has been pretty good with their villains in terms of giving them a reason. But Kuvira has no excuse or reason for blatantly trying to conquer and destroy Republic City. So far, all she is is a person we can all hate. That might be the point, but I'm still hoping we get a backstory on her.
ANYWAYS, I still love Kuvira and Book 4. I wish more people could appreciate it like you do. On another note....... THERE'S ONLY 2 EPISODES OF AVATAR LEFT!! Are you ready?!!
I think the show is making it pretty clear what her motivation is - she is a Earth nationalist, who wants to reunite the former Earth Kingdom as the new Earth Empire. She blames the archaic monarchy system and the influence of foreign powers for the decline and eventual reign of anarchy in the Earth Kingdom. She puts the unity and strength of the Empire before everything, even her personal feelings (as seen last episode). The attack on the United Republic is happening because she, and obviously many other people in the Earth Kingdom, including the Earth Queen, see it as territory stolen by the Fire Nation and the Avatar after the Hundred Year War (which, in a way it is - but of course the Earth King had given his okay at the time). She sees herself as a hero that is trying to reform her nation, which has suffered greatly for more than a century.
All villains of Korra are to varying degrees influenced by real-world extremist political movements (Amon has links to Communism, Unalaq is a religious fanatic and traditionalist, and Zaheer and the Red Lotus are Anarchist terrorists), and Kuvira is no exception - in her we find parallels to several Dictatorial and Nationalist figures from the 1920s&30s period: Mousolini, Hitler, Stalin, and Chiang Kai-Shek
