We needed this...
THAT WAS SO UNEXPECTED WHATTTT
I love how he gives it to you on that last vocal chord made me peek with joy 😭
@@ralphozer2037 i was smiling throughout the whole song when Jesse sang, he has such a voice of an angel🔥
I'm convinced they somehow put addictive frequencies in their music. There's no reason I should love a band and song THIS much.
It's actually impossible for Erra to make anything other than banger after banger. A lot of people needed this. Thank you.
@@sarcasm4371 to each his own, out of erras discography I personally believes it showcases JT's range really well. Especially the low points of his voice.
This song is my life
Hopefully there will never be any conflict between these guys their perfect for each other.
They've argued before but what band doesn't. In an interview they talked about how Jesse and JT went at it one time and qhen Jesse noticed JT wrote about it in his lyrics he went and bought him doughnuts and they were cool again after lol.
Every group has their differences. It's how they handle those differences that tells the future. Erra will be around for a long time.
This song shall be put on the periodic table as one of the heaviest elements on earth.
This literally might be the best song they've ever released. And that's saying a lot, because everything is phenomenal.
@@sarcasm4371 Agreed but since then I think this is the first one I like since then.
@@sarcasm4371 those albums had superior lyrics cause of their original vocalist I’m pretty sure he wrote those superior lyrics.
@@sarcasm4371 yeah they’re still good now but they don’t even sound like erra anymore lol. And nothing beats augment or impulse.
@@niix0173 Look I'm a big fan of Impulse and Augment, but this new ERRA sound is something they've had for like their last 3-4 albums lol.
GOT DAMN THIS SONG IS LIT
frail and fragile is the ghost that i will carry and time will swallow
With every album I think that ERRA has hit their peak, and every time I’m wrong. It just gets better each and every time.
That BREAKDOWN though…
@@adriantrusca1245 Okay, show me another song they stole that breakdown from then. LOL. Hating ass….
@@adriantrusca1245 The entire song is pretty simplistic, which isn't a bad thing, but for some reason it seems like you were expecting some pretty hardcore shredding on this song.
@@MarkLePage I agree, it has never been done. I thought it fucking ripped
This band has such a nostalgic feeling , it’s like I travel mentally everytime I hear them
Jesse and JT a.k.a. the Yin and Yang of metalcore. Their vocals harmonize in a perfect way. Guitar sound awesome as always. So nice they've found their sound and style. I absolutely love this band.
@@sarcasm4371 that was an amazing time for Erra no doubt, but this is on a whole other level of feels and emotional energy just pouring.
@@sarcasm4371 to each their own I suppose. I get crazy emotional feels from spirits away and the older Erra songs from those albums as well. But this hits a different emotional level for me with Jesses soothing vocals and melodies he carries with his voice and the guitar.
Jesus Christ… you guys are top fucking tier at every release. Probably the most consistently dope band I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.
@@DaveHazard95 "how dare you have a favorite band that is not MY favorite band?!?!?1!"
@@alexandre6349 right? like can't people just let people enjoy things?
especially cuz i'm one of those people whose favorite band changes practically daily, depending on what i'm listening to. I could list probably 4 dozen bands that are "one of my favorites" but who gives a damn? I'm enjoying myself, so let me live. Damn.
And besides, if you tell me YOUR favorite band, chances are I'll give them a listen and like them too. I just don't get why everyone has to be so shitty about things
Y'all outta pocket and nasty for this one.
That pre-breakdown maneuver cost me 51 years, it felt like an eternity but when I finally arrived. God damn I felt like a new man.
That groove at 2:49 is absolutely crushing
Fuckin heavy Pantera vibes. Everything from the slow paced drums to the grimy grindy guitar riff.
My fav part is 2:57 , the distorted muffled riff together with that kick drum flow is so satisfying, even after the 200th listen.
This is the only band that actually gets me in my feels. I don’t think I’d be here if it wasn’t for ERRA.
Glad you're here too, man. The same God who made the sun and moon and stars created you. You have tremendous value and worth. 😃😃
Glad you’re here too. We all share this wonderful experience and ERRA enhances it every time they put a new piece of art out.
Glad I’m here to. I was alone until 17. Met my wife and now we have three kids and married. I got something to live for now. Glad all you guys are here. Drift was the album that had me all in my feels. Every song is exactly like my life.
@@richiecollins8161 Dude Drift got me through some hard times, so did The place i feel safest by currents.
JT was a lifeguard at Mears Marina Annapolis and I used to frequent there as a kiddo. Hi JT! I remember running into you and John Bell years ago, you showed me some of your covers on UA-cam, just before you took off into music and went into Texas in July. Crazy to me I love that band and suddenly you were their new singer! Erra came into my recommended recently and i was like, oh, i know that voice... Cool stuff!
The INTRO, the CHORUS, the VIBE, ERRA IS LITERALLY EVERYTHING!
Erra obviously wouldn't be Erra without Jesse's singing, but god JT's sprinkle of singing throughout the self-titled adds SO much to their sound as a whole. Absolutely in love with this direction they're progressing into. ♥
Early contender for song of the year. This is incredible
My ears are melting and my heart is burning
This has it all: hauntingly beautiful riffs, a sick tomb breakdown, JT clean vocals, and a burning car. Erra are next level now.
ERRA is one of the rare bands that gets better every album.
@@sarcasm4371 Ok so 8 months later has this opinion changed? the more and more I dig into Self titled the more I like it. Its my favorite album from them no doubt. ( also this song in particular is FUCKING AMAZING )
Wage War continue to surpass what I though was perfection every time they release a song
EXCUSE???? Pre-liking. Pre-saving. It's going to be a certified banger.
a tear sheds every time I go through 4:08, it's just the perfect energy for the perfect melody for the perfect sound.
10 years later and you guys still find a way to blow me away.
Forget everything you know about setting the bar, ERRA IS THE BAR, no comparison. These guys are their own thing and they've proved it time and time again. They're UNMATCHED. So good. 10/10
So proud of you dudes. 3:38 is where the goose bumps kick in.
I can't believe no one notices you here. Them new artificials tracks are nice!
Erra simply doesn’t make bad songs
@@sarcasm4371 Scorpion Hymn and Drift are 2 of my favorite songs by Erra. See, music is subjective and everyone has their own ear for what they like. I agree with OP they do not make any "bad" songs, mostly just bangers.
@@sarcasm4371 both of those songs are objectively more profound than every previous ERRA release.
The best hair whip I have seen where the 1:43 and 2:27 time tags. It was both graceful and heavenly.
Best song they have ever released. Hits you in all the feels!
@@mannyblackstar I love Render The Void and Obscure Words but this song is more emotional and I absolutely love it. It takes me to another place. I can sit staring at a wall for hours listening to this song and feeling the emotion here and come out as if I was in a dream not knowing where I am. That’s what this song does to me.
Erra only makes bangers.
My god ERRA has really found their sound and it’s fucking amazing
You can tell they are so comfortable with it and it fits them so well. I mean honestly it ascends just being music or sounds, this is pure feeling
Wow, I found notes of "augment" here, I'm really getting more proud of this band from year to year
After just watching the live premiere and hearing this for the first time, I can confirm that this is indeed already one of the best metalcore songs of the year
Erra blows my mind everyday
GOD THIS IS ASTRONOMICAL IN EVERY WAY HOW DO THEY DO IT IVE NEVER FELT SO IN AWE OVER A BAND IN MY LIFE
Can't explain why, But this song touches me like From Autumn to Ashes song's used to tickle my fancy back in 2002/04....Damn, I am getting old...
Wow, this is how you write music and this is how you keep making it better and better the more you do it. Thank you ERRA
erra own this year again. 👏🏼
We already know this song is gonna be good as fuck. 🔥🔥
Yess, already gave a like to the vid haha😂 cause I have a feeling it would be fire as always🔥🔥
when a band literally breaks through your shell and shakes you. now that's music. and that's how you love music. thanks for your music guys!!
Oh lordy that was beautiful. The fact you can hear Connor perfectly just makes me appreciate this that much more.
wait, did he sing? Conor, the other guitarist, singing????? i gotta listen to this again.
This is one of the best song I've ever randomly stumbled onto. Wow
YES!! LOOK AT THESE GUYS GO! Drop the greatest album and go right back to work again, these dudes are top tier man. 👌
Best Erra song ever.
I feel like ERRA is a really under appreciated band that isn’t talked about enough. Just saw you guys recently in Idaho. Absolutely amazing live
This song is 🔥
As someone who heard of them for the first time just now after getting this video recommended... Have to agree, I can't believe I've never come across them before. This rocks so hard
@@sarcasm4371 In your opinion they peaked in 2013. People hpye impulse and augment up to much in my opinion. Altho your right they are superb albums i dont think its there best. For me Drift is one of the best metalcore albums, let alone best ERRA albums.
@@dgoo8294 I have to agree. Drift was their first album my brother showed me and I was blown away. I do love their older stuff, shit is fast paced and all up in your face, but Drift really set a standard for them and they have done nothing but continue to progress and elevate with each release 🤙🤙🤙
@@daviddykstra7944 yeah man couldnt agree more. With drift I really think they found their sound. I still get chills listening to that album.
When that riff around 2:50 comes in it makes me feel a certain way. Such a badass riff that isn’t just an average breakdown.
Although I have gotten into Metal only recently, that riff feels oldschool, like I could imagine the muffled distorted guitars were a trend some time ago. But I don't know..
Any recommendations?
Guaranteed banger
ERRA's ability to seamlessly blend melody, groove, atmosphere, brutality, and subtlety gives them just a completely unique sound. Having the lineup consistency over the last 5+ years and 3 studio albums has given this band so much room to grow together as a cohesive sound. Each release is more purposeful than the last. Their catalog is now as good as any in this genre and I can't wait to hear the other new tracks!
It really frustrates me (okay not really) that ERRA are incapable of making a bad song. They just keep getting better and better and just when I think they reached their apex, they pull a “gotcha!” And come out with more bangers! ERRA ❤️
This literally brought me happy tears.
Based off this picture, the vibes I'm getting, this song is gonna just be too good for words 🔥🔥
thats the erra i know and love
This song is so haunting and so beautiful I FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYS I should've expected no less after yall produced my favorite album of the year last year keep it up bois
2:36 to 3:37 is the most visceral riff i have ever heard in my entire life
It’s all over the place. From tranquility to heavy hittingz just ahhhh 🤘🏻
Was this song written from one’s dream to another mind … I swear I felt that
This might actually be my favorite Erra song...wow. You boys continue to outdo yourselves!
Man, this song is a journey ! :D
Fuck this is incredible. They never miss do they?
I can't control how much emotion this bands music thrusts out of me.
Excuse me? new ERRA??? Yes please!!!!!😃🎸🎸🎸
I can't stop jamming this. An absolute journey from start to finish.
It's January and this is undoubtedly song of the year. Holy **** ****. I have no words for how epic this is.
@@mannyblackstar As much as I love Ghost, wake me when they do something even near the caliber of Zenith. Because Hunters Moon ain’t it, and it’s nowhere near the caliber of this Erra song.
I'm in love with my own life after listening to this song.
love that guitar man, addicting..
Wow great job. Long songs by Erra always have a lot to offer. The "I Long" rasp was sick.
god damn this is such a banger
Can't wait for the summer to come and blast this on a contemplative night drive, windows down, warm breeze coming in.
my lord!
1:27 That chorus melody is just so fucking infectious.
I can't get over how good that is, the Deluxe version of "Erra" is a jam and a half.
That breakdown is just absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! Let's GOOOOOO!!!!
ERRA is timeless. Still stick to their roots. Why I will always love them.
it’s like their music has matured in the best way possible. instead of selling out they’ve made the best possible sound with elements of old
love the guitarists head twirls!
Syncopated groves intertwined with effervescent melodies underscored by thick ass bass lines. A lyrical journey. ERRA is in a category all by themselves. No one is doing it like this, period.
I wish them success more than I hope for my own future 🤣 absolutely legends, such talented members
everything about this song 10/10 Erra wins 2022
2:00 the guitars panning from left to right is so sick
I listened to this song on Tidal and it's brutal.
Last song to make me cry from pure beauty was Northlane’s veridian. This got me good. So beautiful erra. Love you guys.
This song made me cry so hard. The message and the emotion in it invokes such powerful emotions in me. 💔
Up late at night with this on repeat. This song is just... it.
Erra struck gold on this one. That ending with the clean vocals is as good as you're gonna get in any genre of music.
This just feels and sounds like its going to hit so amazingly.
Radical Sikk and totally beautiful all at once.
I'm so stoked for this
SheeEEEeeesssshhhhh
AMAZING new song & video!!! 2:49 made me so happy. That riff and breakdown is NASTY! ERRA RULES!!!
sweet mother of metalcore
That's what I said
❤ fancy seeing rachelle here
Best in the business since day one
even bad men love their mommas
Sweet metalcore of The Mother.
I mean when the angels gave the notice they sure played this to state cleaely they were effing angels. Also to show off.
