- A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Thursday evening August 7th 1873.
The preacher here shows us more of the heart of the Saviour seen in His prayers. As we listen, may our our appetite for prayer, as a living experience of God, increase to His glory.

HELLO FROM TEXAS - hope everyone is well blessed in the things of God. How marvelous it is that we have prayer, and that if we come with a clean and open heart, HE will hear us.
Much love from West Texas❤
I too was born in Texas, but lived in the UK since 6 years old. Fond memories of Austin. My surname was always unknown in England!
Thank you
I feel so encouraged by this sermon, my prayer life is feeble to say the least but this has been great lesson from so long ago. Thank you.
I want to be a man of prayer. Help me my Lord.
Hello from the UK. Thank you for whoever who has kindly posted these prayers. No wonder CH Spurgeon is called the prince of preachers. If anyone is interested I have just purchased a book of Spurgeon’s prayers with introduction by Dinsdale T Young. At the same time I also purchased a book by Austin Phelps called The Still Hour - communion with God. I enjoy these two books .
Thanks and Blessings of Our Lord, in the name of JESUS , from Kentucky

I try to buy (( Spurgeon's Sermons 5 volume)) but the problem is ( The print quality look like 1850's typewriter type set) it is hard for me to read it, i wish one day the publisher will discover this issue. i have issue with my vision, i need clear and large font to read , i hope one day the publisher will hear my voice.
As you found, the early volumes of Spurgeon's sermons had very small print. If you compare the sermons in the 1880s you will see the difference. Small print was apparently economical and easier for printers!
