I’m a BYU fan who has watched Zach’s progression at both the college and pro levels. His progression in the NFL has pretty closely mirrored his progression at BYU. He was a raw but talented QB as a freshman and then had a slump his sophomore year, mainly due to recovering from shoulder surgery during the offseason. Following his sophomore year he began working with John Beck who helped him take his skills to the next level and then he had his big junior year and was drafted #2 by the Jets. His career with the Jets has since followed a similar pattern and he is starting to turn the corner in his 3rd year thanks to the mentoring of Aaron Rodgers. Whether or not he becomes a franchise QB in the NFL remains to be seen but the growth is definitely there.
You make some good points for sure. Thinking about this year alone, despite a week 1 win replacing Rodgers, he was easily the worst starting QB in the NFL statistically for a few weeks. This is not the case anymore, and there is a lot of optimism that he can continue to improve on that trajectory. His entire season so far is an improvement over his last two. I think that is really what we should continue to focus on, and always rooting to see a young player in the NFL find success!
Zach wilson is definitely improving, but this is a pretty unique perspective to hear from an NFL player who thought he would be catching passes from Aaron Rodgers.
He's an all pro now. If being in the top 10 in receptions, yards, and blocking wins qualifies. The TE's aren't consistently used as receivers though, because of the need to shore up the line. Zach gets the ball out an average of 2.0 seconds after the snap: with a different QB, Tyler Conklin is a full time blocker.

Love to hear a teammate's perspective on Zach. Love Conklin's grit and playmaking abilities as well.
We love Conk!

@@jessejordache1869 all pro means top 2 in your conference. He is nowhere near as good as Kelce or andrew’s? Jets fans literally say anything lmfao
