How about a vid on BVR fight between F-15C and F-15E? You've talked before about how the F-15E has sacrificed dogfight performance due to added weight and drag in comparison to previous F-15 variants (i.e. F-15C > F-15E in a dogfight) but I think it would be interesting to demonstrate how the F-15E would perform in a BVR fight against its older brother since the added drag and weight penalties the F-15E has may be offset by more powerful radar (perhaps CFT without needing drop tanks may be an advantage as well?) in comparison to F-15C.
Fun fact, the combined kill to loss ratio of the F-14, F-15, F-16, and F-18 is 52:1. So 8 kills in a single day without a loss is just another Tuesday for the US Air Force.
The one B-52 strike that I personally witnessed was freaking amazing, since I wasn't on the receiving end. 3 BUFFs flying in formation at around 40,000 feet, then they turned around, and then a bit later I saw the flashes over the horizon. What seemed like a minute later I could feel the ground shake while I was sitting on my tank. I couldn't imagine being on the receiving end of all of that.
The F15 Eagle was Chuck Yeager's favorite aircraft. Years ago he made an F15 dog fight challenge to anyone flying a newer aircraft. Out of all the pilots not even one accepted the challenge. And that is Air Force, Navy, Marines and Army combined. The man who broke the speed of sound and had more flight hours than anyone back in those days, including in his favorite aircraft the F15.
The radio chatter that you’ve added lately is making these videos so much more immersive! Doing an amazing job, keep up the outstanding content bud! Much love.
So glad to see GS with F15C content. I'm new to DCS and using the FC3 / F15c. So this makes me realize I can just keep trying to improve my flying and tactics skills. Great to keep learning from these videos!
Oh, Lord, how I LOVE those Eagles! Only a plane that was over-designed to take on what we THOUGHT the Mig-25 was could've been so great and lasted for so long! Maybe we should over-estimate enemy weaponry more often. ;-) I remember an earlier video when you showed how easily an F-15 could take out SEVEN Mig-29's and not even break a sweat. 😀
Man this might be one of my favorite missions yet! Besides those insane A-10 ones, the F-15 singlehandedly taking down that whole fleet must have been demoralizing for the enemies. Spectacular display of improved technology and the advantages it gives. As always, awesome content GS!
The F-15 is an absolute legend, it’s such a powerful and very dominant aircraft, she is absolutely without a doubt the queen of the skies. And you also demonstrated it so well too
I have always wondered, how realistic is the fuel consumption while playing? Especially if you were constantly in full afterburner and dropped your external tanks.
I appreciate the new tech and just how incredibly lethal the Raptor is, in particular, but I still think the Eagle is the most beautiful fighter out there. Love seeing you showcase it here!
Reverse the rolls. Have the F15, F16, F22, etc, assets protecting our bases against a massive attack by Chinese and Russian forces. Have them with their own SEADS, etc. That'd be a good scenario to play out.
It would be hilarious to mix in the (propeller-engine) sound of a large group of B17's or Lancasters, in external-view scene's like at 0:48 and 0:55 etc. 🙂
I am going to be that guy and take the leap request... Your video production and ability is ready for a big climax video. I know that DCS mission editor is user friendly to be creative. Scenario: All NATO nations Versus Russia... Land, Sea and Air.... and you should play on NATO's side? Mabey a series... lots of scenarios?
Hey, GS, i was reading about a dogfight tactic called a high-G roll-under. Basically, if the bandit is on your 6, you put the boards out, snap roll under, then go to full ab. That is supposed to force the bandit should overshoot without you losing all your energy. Anyways, i was wondering if you could show it to us.
well it doesn't really work like that, there is no maneuver you can do that just gets the bandit to overshoot. If he is managing his closure you do that all day long, and he will still kill you. It sounds very similar to the tuck under jink executed by the F-16, which is really an attempt to jink gun shots while still bleeding energy to get an overshoot...again its nice and it might work but its all dependent on your bandits ability to manage closure.
That F15 was designed and built before most of us were born too! Do the same mission with a F22 or even Fat Amy and see how great the tech gap is then!

Day-25 Asking GS to dogfight F-14 wings retracted only
Day 115 of asking for A-10 vs F-14
Would love to see some WWII content again, it’s been too long.

The machine spirit of that F-15 was out for blood on that last kill
"Carpet bombing" looks truly terrifying from the ground perspective! You can't run and you can't hide.
So, many people don't know this, but that many B-52s headed to the same place is American for "Ya Done Fucked Up."

It's comedy that the only way for the MiG-29 to hide the heavy smoke from their engines is to either use afterburner or leave a contrail.
Those B-52s are absolutly insane.
Perfect mission. F-15s clear the skies of bandits, F-16s clear SAM sights and the B-52s bomb the targets, unmolested.
what an absolutely lovey shot of b-52s with the moon
Hope I'm not the only one who got a chill watching Grampa Buff and all his brothers cruising in to deliver the thunder and lightning...
It’s always fun watching a fleet of B-1Bs, B-52s, and B-2s drop an absolutely moronic amount of explosives on target
Those B-52s mopping everything up gave me goosebumps.
Man! The high aspect shot of the last 9X turning was impressive but not compared to the absolute devastation of that airfield. Well done.

Dat low angle view when the last 21 crashes and then the Eagle flies over the crash site.... dang thats the WOOOLVEERIIINES moment of this clip.
I know the gray is likely better for low observability, but the camo just looks SO GOOD.

Pretty nice, that you keep explaining the details for the newbies while flying. Thats cool.
That remaining MiG-29 pilot: "Huh. Where'd everybody go?"
MIG-29 watching his buddies spontaneously exploding all around him: "Haha, I'm in danger."
Love the extra takes and shots from different angles. Way to create your own micro-theme. I was really into this one!
Always great to see more F-15C content.
Man, the F-15 is such a beautiful bird. I wish we had more movies with her in focus...
The graphics in DCS never fail to impress
As fancy and cool the strike sagle is, the C model is still one of the most capable A-A planes in the sim.
I love the way you have the F15 painted in the SEA scheme.
DS: Love your new "Think" logo.

that last 9x was hungry, the way it came off the rail was insane.
