My mother's name was Mary and she came from Tralee. It's beenmanyyears since I've been in Tralee and I have many happy memories of visiting and going to school there as a very small child. So long ago and so far away.

Well I suppose Mary is popular in it's many forms - Moira Maire etc. If it's possible move down there because life is too short. I'm disabled now and I don't travel well, I always thought I'd live back in Tralee when I retired. Unfortunately given the current economic climate in Ireland now I wouldn'dt be able. Go for it.

Hi I was reading your comment and I realised something. I am from Tralee myself but have lived up country for years. Is Mary a name that would be very popular in Kerry or am I imagining it. My mother's name wasn't Mary but my gran's was and I have aunts on both side named Mary. Just a thought ! Sad to read you haven't been back in years.I was there for a wedding during the summer and I had a ball. My wife would move down in a heartbeat.
