Anthony When I use the genuine pads from Toyota for my Fortuner it comes with a sachet of grease which needs to be applied on certain points indicated on their instructions sheet...on the back of the pads there are dimples which varies with the vehicle model and it is meant to eliminate squeal

Ed China on Wheeler Dealer would always put a bit of copper grease on the back of the pads to stop the risk of squealing.
