    I wanted to give my honest review on my bed liner, and this is that. I love this bed liner and the company that makes the product so in no way am I trying to "dis them" or "put their product down" but I paid hard earned money from my pocket for it and expect it to hold up to what I was told it would. I wanted to show people out their who USE their trucks NOT ABUSE what to expect it look like. I am also comparing the standard to the premium liner and if it was worth the extra $100, if it'll still turn out to look like the standard after a while(as I show in the video). So if you want to continue making comments "I painted my bed", "boo hoo I used my truck", "maybe you should buy a car" then go for it. It actually helps me, so thank you! I am not going to try to explain myself as I've already done that in previous comments (go check if you want). I apologize if this video had "click baited you" or isn't me saying how great this product is, because I try to tell it how it is. Thank you to those who liked and found this video helpful and I appreciate your support! Have a great day everyone!

      I have the same liner. Love it ..i was told by my line-x dealer . That if it chips even if I did it . They will fix it for free. So you should take it back and get your chip from when you hit it with the shovle fixed . I believe it is part of the life time warranty.

    • @HitchinMitch

      I will definitely have to ask about that, I know they told me about it chipping but wasn't sure if it be covered if I did it. It has gotta a few more since this video.

      I think you need to check the definition of resistant. You seem to think it means indestructible.

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  6 років тому

      I know that if something is resistant it is impervious and should repel things, such as stains. So no I don't think it is indestructible.

    I agree with you . All the people saying it's just a truck.. i paid $70'000 for my truck . I use it as a truck ...i landscape my property using my truck for rock , gravel, sod, etc. But still want it to look good . So I get what he is saying.

    • @nickgrebe
      @nickgrebe 6 років тому

      You got what you paid for. You are just a dumb ass and throws everything in his bed. (I threw some watered down paint in my bed and now the water has evaporated so it is only paint) do you not realize that water can evaporate and a shovel can cut through rubber?

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  6 років тому +3

      Oh no! I used my truck for work! If only there was a vehicle designed to haul things and have material thrown into it... I understand a shovel can cut through rubber. I have shoveled mulch, rocks, dirt, several times out of my bed and made trips to the scrap yard, and so far only took out another chip from the liner. I did not purposely "throw" the watered down paint in my bed but things happen.

    Wow, some of these posters are quite ignorant. Haters will be haters forever so don't pay any attention to assholes being assholes. You're a hard working man earning a living. Be proud of that dude. With that said, simply take it back and they should repair it under warranty. I also agree with what others have said and perhaps you should simply buy a thick rubber bed matt.
    Again dude, thanks for posting!

    May be you should have cleaned it earlier. It says stain resistant not stain proof. Like the phones which are water resistant but not water proof. So it might depend on things like how long the stain is exposed to or something like that. I don't know but may be there's something like that. Next time you spill something try cleaning it earlier.

  • @megsman4749

    You should make a video on methods by which the stains you've mentioned can be removed (if at all) and/or further updates on what products have further stained the bed. This video has been useful to me because I was considering getting a Line-X paint job... it seems the product isn't as durable as I had originally thought and may be more susceptible to staining - a fault other youtubers showcasing their paint job have not pointed out.

  • @grumpyoldman336
    @grumpyoldman336 4 роки тому +1

    They will always say "Resist" and not "Will not" stain is their way of covering their asses. Also if your going to get gravel or dirt or other loose material dumped into the truck you know you will have to shovel out after have a scrap piece of 1/2 inch plywood around to toss in before hand it makes things far easier to get out with all the groves in the bed i usually do that also when im busting up concrete for a plumbing job it works well and helps to save that linex for other stuff.

  • @Bob-gy6ud
    @Bob-gy6ud 4 роки тому

    If any coating prevented metal from denting people would paint the entire vehicle with it. That being said as for the chips isn’t that covered by the Line-X warranty? They most likely wouldn’t re-spray the entire bed but just spot treat it.

    I would call the company and show them what happened. You paid for premium and it clearly states that it protects from UV. These companies need to stop stealing our hard earned money. You did an awesome job with the video, but I'll say this... these bed liners seem really good for the normal household stuff from a homeowner ext.. but for the guy who uses it strictly for work, it's going to get scuffed, stained and dented. Thanks again for the update

    LINE-X Has no competition. I’ve worked for the company and the quality of the product comes with years of testing like no other. It’s worth the money. No one measures the thickness of the liner like LINE-X does. If you have a bedliner that came from a dealer, rip it out (it will be very easy, trust me) and then take it to get coated with LINE-X.

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  5 років тому

      I definitely will never opt for the factory spray on bed liners. I know what you mean, I felt like I could pick it off at the dealer by hand.

  • @19chalito78

    Maybe need to do a pressure washing and then apply a coat of armor all or detail cosmetic, and for that stain you can try thinner or mineral spirits

    • @esc4p3
      @esc4p3 6 років тому

      I was told by my local Line X dealer that armor all dries out the liner.

  • @michaelmathis1961
    @michaelmathis1961 5 років тому

    Picky aren't you! That is the paint from the boards rubbing off! The liner will dull dependinng how you use the bed of your truck. The paint stain, have you used a high pressure washer on it? The bed liners are a big improvement over the slide in bed liners and they dull and will not stain. However they will be painted if you spill paint on it as the surface is rough!

  • @robertwingate650
    @robertwingate650 6 років тому +2

    The paint spill PAINTED the textured finish... That's not a stain, it's painted down in the low spots of the textured finish. A power washer might knock it out. The gasoline may have removed the luster finish if u didn't wash it off before it dried. From this video all the complaints you've made are directly related to the user, not the product...

    I have small dents in my Line-X also. Its sold as supper tough truck bed coating, but it's not. My truck is my car and I am very carful with it , I have never thrown anything in the bed only ever had one load of cut logs placed in by hand and both wheel arches dented. I contacted the place that fitted it and they didn't even reply. The enquiry I made was ,would it be possible to spray over the existing bed to thicken it up and if so how much would it cost. Several mails and two calls and nothing, people say it's got so many years guarantee but if you can't get hold of then its worth nothing. Its ok but no as good as I was supposed to be.

  • @taylorconlon144

      There is nothing to fix. I work at a truck accesory shop and have for over 15years. No spray liner is gonna stop you from denting your aluminium bed. Or letting paint and water mixture evaporate on it. Eventually it still turns back to paint dumb ass

    • @HitchinMitch
      @HitchinMitch  6 років тому

      If you have worked around trucks for that long you should know that my tuck is not the aluminum generation. If you dilute paint enough it stops being paint and just colored water and should easily was off. I gave my honest review of something I spent my hard earned money on and wanted to share it.

    I think you should make it a habit that at the end of a working day to power wash your truck. Everything will last longer. I have a15 year old SUV that looks almost like the day I bought it brand new and it's all because after every drive, I wash it down, dry it and never let it sit under the sun uncovered when not in use. Imagine all the grief I could have gone thru for 15 years but instead, I dont have to buy a car for the next probably 15 more years. The thing is you don't pile up unwashed dishes on the sink and expect a clean kitchen.

    If the UV coating has been applied, you should be able to get a rag with some goof off, or other paint remover and wipe the paint off - then Immediately wash with warm, soapy water and check it out. Showing a video of a dirty bed liner and complaining without trying to show us what it looked like new and after you apply a bit of TLC is kinda bullshit.
