THIS IS SO AWESOME!! The ringtone reminding notes, the harmony of fuzzy sound and the smooth voice, the softest ending, this is just wonderful to listen to. As always beautiful lyrics and the timing is crazyy.
For like a couple of days I've been reading super old messages, not recognizing myself and thinking of the people I chatted with. And I relate to your lyrics so much even if the experiences are so different - the nostalgic sound brings it together. So true about missing not the person themselves but the image of them, the period of hanging out. Like I know my childhood friend and I went different paths and she highkey has entirely different values than me now so it'd be no point in chatting but I still see her in my dreams sometimes, even not thinking of her. I guess my brain just misses the vision of the person, these friendly and fun vibes, no internet or worries, just goofing around. So thank you for this release, it was needed and it certainly will associate with these good times and lost-in-the-wide-world people I miss sometimes.
Genuinely thank you for the chill prereleases with you two just being yourselves, laughed out loud this time!! You two are so cool and really brighten up my day (night). I love hanging out in a little safe place where everyone gathered just to enjoy amazing music and listen to the great people. Having fun every time, never stop saying what's on your mind!!

It's a really interesting concept. Cause I see this more as the loss in the dynamic of the friendship (moving away, growing up, careers, etc) more than the loss of the actual friendship itself. But I've gone through several moments described in the lyrics. I had a friendship of 20+ years end, someone I've known for almost 20 years surprised I'm 31, and 2 very goof friends of mine move about 4 hours away in the last year. And I wish all our friendships held the same dynamic still
That’s exactly it. Sometimes you’re still friends, but it’s not the same. Our definition of friend even changes.
I went from spending 4 and 5 nights a week out at the bar, having so much fun with people to almost never seeing them. Still love them. Still consider them my best friends, but… I just don’t see them. It’s… complicated.

Honestly I need to pay more attention to y'all because I'm only five months late to this bittersweet song. Love it btw, and definitely feel the lyrics as I've met and wanted to be friends with a lot of people, mostly online because I'm not great at socializing in person, but life tends to get in the way and others tend to get too busy to talk while I tend to be the first to drift away or cut and run because of my mental issues. It's rough, but at least we can still live and learn and hopefully I made any positive impact on anyone for what little time we often had, though there's multiple people I wish I could reconnect with or have a do over with how things ended, but time is often a cruel mistress and I just hope they know I never stopped caring about them, it's just difficult for me to keep in touch and say what I feel. There's also, of course, those friends that kinda just... We say we'll talk again or we can contact each other any time so they're not, exactly gone, at least I don't think, but it definitely feels like drifting apart and I'd love to fix any growing rift with some but idk, sometimes maybe it's for the better. We all change a bit every day and some things simply aren't meant to be or meant to last and that's ok. Stings sometimes, but ok. Thanks for this one 💙

Hey guys. My bearded dragon Max recently passed away due to an infection during a surgery that would have saved him. I miss him with all of my heart, and it seems like just yesterday we got him as a baby boy. He's the one I miss the most. He took a part of me with him when he went to sleep, and I won't fully recover. your music means so much to me. I'm tearing up writing this because thinking about him hurts the worst, but when I stop typing, close my eyes, and listen to your songs, I enter a state of peace that only 8 Graves music puts me in. I'm not sure why, or how, but you guys just being here to listen to now and again makes some of the pain go away. Please don't stop doing what you do, you can be sure I'll be here to support you for as long as I live because you support me in the best way you can, whether you mean to or not. Waking up and seeing that you posted a video makes my day. I mean this in the most sincere way possible; thank you, 8 Graves, for helping me through the toughest time of my life.
I am so sorry for your loss, friend. I unexpectedly lost my last dog a while back, and I was absolutely crushed by it. I loved him so much. He was my best friend, and it took me months to recover to a point that I could just get by without crying.

I had friends that I wanted to keep close but as time went by we kinda drifted apart which was exactly what we ALL didn't want but I guess I was the only person who wanted and tried to keep our friendship. But later I realized it was worthless so yeah I feel like this song describes my situation perfectly.
