When Jamie screamed underwater it was a cry of pain ... It is a tragic love story.
that's when the tears came out
Like clexa’s story but more trágic
i’m so sorry about this
*i tried to scream, but my head was underwater*
@@wapse4188 oh, I don't know... Both of them were really tragic. I personally can't pick one.
And how she waited for her at the end leaving the bathtub full of water just tore me up
I’m not ashamed. I cried so hard. Bly did not disappoint me. This love story will live on in my memories and it will be scattered in my life in little moments. Like confetti.
Same 🥺 Me and my gf will never ever forget this story
I was with tissues at this part😭 I was so sad but at least Dani’s spirit is with Jamie forever
What a sad but phenomenal ending, beautiful story
i see that hill house reference 👀
Stop I’ll cry more
What kills me is not only the quote "Dani wouldn't. Dani would never." But also the fact that earlier Jamie said for them to shoot her if she ever gets dementia because losing yourself and your memories is no way to live. But yet... she begs to take Dani's place. She begs to become Lady of the lake with everything she had because she was so heartbroken.
i’m crying again now
And I think Dani knew that so as well as being kind, she was considerate enough to not take Jamie with her because that was Jamie's fate worse than death, losing memories
I thought she was asking to be taken so that they could be together. Still braving that fate though.
darn it. you just made me cry with this one...
@@specialpatrolgroup92 but being taken implies you're gonna fade away and everything you have ever known will be estranged to you
"The lady in the lake was also Dani, and Dani wouldn't. Dani would never." This quote just shows how different is love and ownership. Peter toke Rebecca with him cause he was selfish, and possessive. But Dani would never do this to Jamie, cause she loved her too much, and she wasn't selfish.
This comment is making me cry😭😭😭
This is a quintessential recurring theme in all of Henry James’ novels and stories.
Peter even left Becs to have an agonizing death on her own but Becs wanted to feel the death for Flora.
What happened to Peter and Rebecca? I expected it to become this kharmic justice where Peter got what was his in death, stuck in a loop with his mother, but suddenly they werent there anymore. Yes, I know all the spirits were trapped, but I expected something more to come off with Rebecca and Peters story.
But just imagine...Ghostly lovers...😔
The narration stabbed me in the heart
"Dani wouldnt, dani would never" 😭😭
Low key sounded like the narration from the Gruffalo
@@renameagain5808 fs whys that accurate 😂😂🙄
Carla's voice 🤤😳🍷🍷😭😭😭😭
Literally same :(
The gardener said the words she'd heard those years ago.
She willed it with everything she had. "You, me, us. US!"
"Take me with you," she cried in her heart. "Take me. Drag me down like you did the others."
But the lady in the lake was different now. The lady in the lake was also Dani.
And Dani wouldn't.
Dani would never.
In fact, no one would ever be taken again.
And no one has been taken to this day.
This part literally freaking hurts so bad
Every time I hear this bit I’m just crying like a little baby. When she’s crying under water 🥺😩
These lines changed my life
I was sobbing at that part it broke me
It’s so unbelievably beautiful.
Can we take a moment to appreciate how Jamie, as much grounded, realist person she is, was willing to leave everything, her life, her future, her soul’s eternal rest, for her one true love?
Yes.
Love hurts. It hurts when it’s real.
And she never ceased to actually want to leave everything to be with Dani. For all the years after, she left her door open for her
But would it survive the decades and centuries as the memories fade away
@@nickl5658 Yes. Dani will always remember Jamie for Jamie have never forgotten her despite the years she’s been dead.
Nell can’t catch a break.
Except for her neck.
@@renameagain5808 AJAJAAJS STOP
@@Superpatti oh hi chiaki!
I know like with the scene with her ghost fiance I'm like , "Oh no it's one of those stories ". Couldn't the person catch a break from her dying husband's/fiance, she died twice you know .
@@renameagain5808 STOPPP NOOOO💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Dani’s death blew me away in astonishment knowing of how organically Shakespearean the scene was perfectly devised and furnished, resembling Ophelia’s iconic stir-crazy insanity simultaneously glazing her finality of death as peaceful and perfectly splendid.
that was..........perfectly splendid. ^^
Umm u need a scholarship or sank someone get this bih a Harvard application
@@Love.Cook_Sanji that was.......... word vomit. but ok. ^^
babe i got 2 english degrees but what does simultaneously glazing her finality of death mean lol
@@phoebe8579 please not you thinking just because you have “two” english degrees that you can write so much better😭. fun fact: im an english major who spends her days reading and writing as well so touché. maybe you can benefit from doing the same and maybe you’ll see a strength in your writing!
I think what Viola showed in Dani's dream is that if she don't go she'll kill Jaime, and Dani wouldn't allow that.
Yeah this is known bud we're passed that lol, the one thing that didn't need clarification
She not only saved Jamie but also saved everyone
Well DUH
The narration was so on point the dailogues.
man no kidding, the dialogue is so out of the park
The moment when shes screaming under the water and the music is playing is so powerful....
Dani wouldn’t. Dani would never. 💔
Next season Victoria better not die... this is such a melancholic anthology... haunting in a non horrorifying aspect also...
she’s never caught a break lmao on a serious note i hope one of her characters gets a happy ending one day though
haunting of calcutta manor next! *Flexes*
Victoria always seems to be playing depressed characters 💀
Sje died in You lmao
@@em-pr5jv real tho I think her eyes does look kinda melancholic

Splendid love story i will never forget this series😭😭😭
this scene lives in my brain rent free 24/7
I searched "Dani would never" didn't wanna search "Dani's death" 😂
This is the SADDEST scene I've seen on a show in forever. Poor Dani, she went through a LOT, more than a lot of people will in their lifetime. Her dad died when she was young child and the parent she had left seemed absent and uninterested in actually being there for her daughter so she basically had Eddie's family and him growing up. She then gets engaged because she thought it's what is supposed to happen and realized she didn't have any romantic feelings for her sweetheart and obviously ashamed of her sexuality and hid it as long as she could. She breaks up with Eddie and he gets hit and she blames herself, with nobody to really vent to or share she is gay without fear of judgement. Her mom was barely around after she lost her fiance. She goes to take on a job in another country to escape. She goes through all the eerie shytt in that house along with Eddie's ghost stalking her. Then she is almost killed by Viola, and sacrificed her life to save Flora and it set every ghost free by allowing Viola to enter her body. She finally had found true love with Jamie who shared her trauma of what went on in that house for some years, only to start having Viola trying to take over and her mental health deteriorate rapidly until she almost choked out Jamie drowns herself to spare the love of her life by having hers cut short.
I didn't see the beauty of this after rewatching just the tragedy of it all. Dani let Viola in and it allowed her to leave the manor for the first time and she is rewarded with being mentally pushed to go back to that dumb azz lake to be the new lady of the lake. Her memories would also fade as the gardener said so yes she was happy for some years with Jamie but ultimately wouldn't remember it and eventually Dani would cease to exist as she would forget everything including her. While the ghosts and kids were set free she was doomed once that happened. There was no reason that there needed to be a lady in the lake. They should have had that bytch drained and covered and built a house or a shed on the ground.
Viola was such a hateful person making others including herself suffer for no reason. She didn't have it bad she got years with her daughter and lived a wealthy life with a loving husband and sister. She should have died when that priest told her to pass on, instead she stick around suffering and putting it on everyone around her. Perdita dumb azz should have left that trunk alone they were going broke anyway she didn't need any of those dresses or items In that trunk.
I wanted to see Viola get a comeuppance and be exorcised and go to hades where she belonged or ceased to exist she was evil and couldn't just take her azz to sleep for more years to allow Dani to grow old she instead decided to toy with her until she pushed her far enough to go back to the lake. Viola did to Dani what she did to everyone minus the killing physically and dragging her underwater she caused Dani to go back on her own. She was ungrateful and Dani deserved so much better than this. I felt the ending was not necessary it was tragic enough Hannah and Rebecca died at bly manor but Dani too, leaving Jamie to grieve her lost love for the rest of her life was depressing.
I hated the ending and that Dani the most kind and deserving person of a happy ending was doomed to go back to the place she got away from all because she took the wrong nanny Job.
Fully agreed, why not a happy ending for once, so many ways it could have been written
Man you're making me sad again
Why does she have too die all the time expecially in hill house😔
It’s her fate. Wait til next season she’ll probably die again. Like in every incarnation she’s doomed.
RIP English 😂
Wow thanks for spoiler i didnt watch that one yet
@@mr.nathan4972 next season of what show
@@inmysoul_TLH she dies literally the first episode tho, its the whole premise of the season
I want to watch the deleted scene, where Jamie woke up and saw that Dani was about to leave and then they both cried. Amelia Eve (Jamie) said in an interview, that this is one of the two outstanding scenes of Jamie and Dani. So sad, that it has not made it to the final cut.
And just some trivia: The letter that Dani left for Jamie, was written by Victoria Pedretti a few minutes before Amelia Eve shot the scene with it, so that Amelia's reaction was as real as it could be. I don't know what she wrote but it must be something emotional.
Apparently according to Victoria, Dani had written “I love you with every piece of me left”
The gardener said the words
she'd heard those years ago.
She willed it with everything she had.
You, me, us.
Us.
"Take me with you,"
she cried in her heart.
"Take me.
Drag me down like you did the others."
But the lady in the lake
was different now.
The lady in the lake was also Dani.
And Dani wouldn't. Dani would never
I wasn't a fan of the pacing and filler Bly House had. But this scene was moving and perfect. The acting, narration, and music pierces the soul. I'm not a big fan of LGBTQ+ doomed love stories but this one is beautiful.
Such a heartbreaking and beautiful episode.
Why i can not watch this scene without sobbing like the first time ? it's so deep. All it shows is sacrifice for the one you love.
In this scene, I made a river with my tears. I love how Jamie screams.
Just got through watching Hill House.
Poor Nell.
It's so sad how Jamie before expressed how she'd rather die than experience the effects of losing her memories like with dementia. Yet here she's begging to be allowed to go through that simply to be together with Dani.
This was beautiful.. it was a tragedy.. this is what heartbreak looks like..
I literally could not stop crying on the last episode when Dani died and for the rest of it! Really great series
We went to see junpscares and came with endless heartache
I am a grown man and I cried. Thought I lost my emotion being in the society as a man. Glad I thought wrong. 😢
The music makes me cry!!
These series made my heart hurt so much 😢
This was so heartbreaking and beautiful
Viola was so selfish. Ruined so many lives just because she unhappy. Oh well. Doesn't mean other people have to suffer.
sometimes i’ll just be going about my day then the sound of jamie screaming underwater plays in my head
I cried so much with my ex gf i dont blame us Dani was true love to her made me so sad...miss this show also miss my ex sometimes badly...
This show will live in my heart rent free
The fact that you can see jamies tears even when she's all wet from the water of the lake.
The Haunting of Bly Manor wasn't just a horror story, but a gothic romance.
4 love stories.
All ended tragically.
All made us cry.
But there was nothing more heartbreaking for me than the story of the au pair & the gardner. 😢💔
Spoilers below people
Having watched the latest season of You, Bly manor and Hill House and seeing Victoria Pedretti die in all three of them, I can say she's slowly becoming the Sean Bean of Netflix shows.
This scene destroyed me. So beautiful and tragic at the same time. Reminded me of that one scene from Casino Royale
Ohhh I kept wondering what it reminded me of and yep it’s definitely that scene.
Just finished watching and cried myself to sleep after watching this and the last scene.
Was Dani aware that Jamie was begging and in the lake?
Yes
Yes she was. She just didn’t have it in herself to take Jamie with her. She loved her too much to let her end with the same fate as her
@@applepistol not me shedding a tear reading this notification omg
@@applepistol how can you be so sure. everything is kept open
Yes. That's why Jamie couldn't die. Given what Jamie was doing (screaming underwater, moving around frantically), she should have drowned. She didn't drown because Dani was Lady of the Lake and wouldn't let her.
this is one of my favorite horror movie of all time
I'm crying genuine tears help
I can't, really, i can't stop crying
Bly manor is about love, separation and hope of getting back of love though you know that person is never gonna come back..
coming back 2 years later to this scene n video
Dani didn’t die here, once the lady fades, she was free to leave, as the only thing that was in control was Viola
Olivia? You mean from the 1st season? Cause Olivia's dead, the one telling the story is older Jamie. Also Dani did die but her ghost still remains with Jamie, even if the latter doesn't know it.
@@bagasbramantyo9717 earm no...Olivia as in the joke name for the lady of the lake? Once her anger and rage, which was the thing in control and present faded over time, Dani, was free to go
She reminded me of Britney Murphy ..
Dani freed everyone but herself and Viola and she will be alone for all eternity forgetting everything all the time. Ouch. Now that's depressing.
I'd gladly be sad all over again
pain is all i know...

I hate when people say they disliked Bly Manor because it was 'less scary' because yes. That's the point. Flora says it at the end, it's not a ghost story, it's a love story. The show is meant to be more gothic and tragic than scary from the beginning. I think the way they advertised this, with the whole thing being from the same creator as Hill House, was a mistake too.
Exactly, I didn't expect to like it much more than hillhouse, because I knew from the reviews that it was different, and it was better for me
Honestly I was expecting horror but was I disappointed? Not at all. I loved the whole story and to me this was even better than the Hill House (yeah I'm a minority) but I feel Ike Bly Manor was more aesthetically cool, had a better storyline, it was more layered, mysterious, more tragic and had a better satisfying ending. I'd be honest, even Hill House wasn't scary to me... It was just sad, really sad than Bly Manor. But, I LOVE both of the shows equally!
The Haunting Series: come for the fears, stay for the tears.
aye true
this is such a beautiful scene, it gives me chills. i just keep coming back to watch it, I'm glad that Bly did not disappoint
same, I love this scene so much, I keep replaying it

Unpopular opinion: Bly Manor is better than Hill House. Spooky Romanticism has always been a vibe, and this show nailed it.
Fuck yeah
Just watched the show for the first time yesterday and absolutely bawled during this scene. Dani and Jamie both deserved better. Between Dani and Nell, Victoria Pedretti needs to stay away from haunted houses
I burst into crying whenever Jamie says "Dani would never." Fucking Bly Manor. made me cry like a baby many times
1:47 i wonder how victoria mastered the skill of lying down there with her eyes open while being underwater
"DANI WOULDN'T, DANI WOULD NEVER"

I cried so much during this scene. Her begging and desperation to be with Dani brought on the waterworks for sure!
