We all know the PC can keep up with the ps5 when it comes to these ESports games, that are optimized for such cheaper builds. Where the value of the PS5 comes into play, is AAA gaming. Games like Cyberpunk, Horizon Forbidden West, Spiderman, and so much more that wouldn't run nearly as good on that PC. I don't think this was a fair comparison.
You are exactly right look up cheap PC builds they always drop frames in games like Apex legends or Warzone or even Fortnite cheap PCs can barely run at 1440 P120 Hz which is really pathetic because my PlayStation can do that all the time. Where as some $900 PCs can’t even do that.
i always tell this to anyone looking into getting a pc. you want a good run of the mill experience with no qualms, get a console. but for those looking for a fully individualized experience where working out the kinks is okay, then building a pc is the way to go.
I agree. I have both pc and console, and one of the most annoying things about pc for me is trying to customize the video settings in every game to get a good ratio between picture quality and performance. I like how convenient it is on console. But I know a lot of people like the customization. So it really is a preference thing.
The PS5 will clearly handle 4k better than any PC you could build at the same price point. However, Steam, GOG, and Epic give you access to so many more games than you'd have with a PS5, and there is an upgrade path you can take to get really good 1440p and 4k performance on the PC. If you like playing older games or like to tinker, it's hard to beat a PC.
I don't think so. The PS5 doesn't play any modern titles at native 4k. It's all upscaled (not AI upscaled, so not nearly the quality you can get with DLSS) at 30 fps. Check DigitalFoundry to see how games actually run. Toasty Bros are also incorrect in saying the PS5 GPU is an RX 6700. It uses the same chip, but severely downclocked (and severely downclocked, shared memory). If you want PS5 raw performance, somewhere between an RX 6600 XT and RTX 3060 is where you should aim. Hell, an RTX 2070 or 2060 Super would probably be good enough if you're fine with playing low FPS upscaled content anyway.

Also, small caveat, you should compare price point to the non-disc version of PS5 if not including a disc drive. I KNOW, pc gamers: wE dOn'T wAnT dIsC dRiVeS gRaMpA!!!!!!! REEEEEEEE!!! There are legitimate reasons console owners prefer hard copy games, preservation and resale value. On pc you literally don't have that option anymore, zero legit way to preserve your game or resell... this is the nature of digital only, capitalism for corps only. This is why $ony is so desperately trying to get people to go digital only and removed backward compatibility, not 'technical limitations' Steam servers down? Or worse, internet down in your neighborhood due to a drunk driver hitting the junction box... You own nothing, have fun waiting while I insert disc to install offline 😅 (I have DRM free offline installers from GOG). I guess you can always take your gaming PC to Starbucks a few miles away and leech their internet until yours is fixed, unless you live rural then you're SOL
Steam does have an offline mode. Its on more of a game by game basis and achievements are disabled if you care about that, but you aren't completely buggered at least. Now streaming services like Netflix or Game Pass on the other hand....
I think the general problem with people getting into pc gaming is that it is expensive to get into pc gaming with a competitive pc where on the other hand getting into gaming with a console is just way cheaper and it is pretty competitive out of the box
Honestly unless your spending over $750 just get a console. They had a deal on the series X for 350. Not getting a PC close to that spec for that cheap
Feel like the 5600X3d from Microcenter or the rumor of a 5500X3D could really change the result. Did the upgrade 5600x to a 5800X3D with a 3070 made a huge change. Upgraded later to a 7900XT gpu and it's just been a great time. So if a regular 6 core to a X3d made a difference with a 3070. Feel many gpu will love the V cache.
I would say do pc build budget compared to the full price PS5 or Xbox Series X for a person who was to buy warranty and 2 full price games with a year of the membership of the platform that should give more wiggle room for the pc build itself.
No doubt, truth be told. However, I would have been more tactful. They have feelings. I would have said, they could use room for improvement on their gaming skills.

I have both pc and Xbox, and tbh I find myself playing Xbox more. Primarily because most of friends are on console. But also b/c 120 fps is just the sweet spot for gaming imo. Most of the games I play run at 120 fps on console, except Apex legends smh. And even though I can play them on pc at 240 fps, it really feels like diminishing returns at 240fps. It’s not that significant of a difference to me.
I can always upgrate the PC for better performance i can't do that with the PS5 and you'r stuck with the console till a new version comes out witch will be years so PC for the win.
Console for the price is the way to go because games are just better optimized on ps5, I have a 4080 in my pc and there's so many broken pc games while thr ps5 version is just flawless, I've also been playing on psvr 2 and it's freaking awesome
i play on 1660 super for me same like ps5 ;) minimal difference for me. but with Batocera Linux i can play many consoles(ps,ps2,ps3,nintendo wii, switch... + pc games) in one box
I have a dell 9020 with a 1660 super mad it basically plays these games exactly the same. It stands me at about £200. Desperately trying to find an excuse to buy a ps5 but my dated pc and first gen steam deck which I managed to get via part ex a load of old stuff out of the attic seems to give me everything the pS5 would but at a fraction of the price
for that price range, a PS5 will usually perform better, but the pc is just a better choice because you have a much better upgrade path, and who knows, in 3 years, you will probably have a much better system than a ps5. Pcs also have many different functionalities, which is good if you want to do anything other than gaming, like work, editing, or 3d modelling.

Maybe Compare Apple M1 to a console next? lmao may as well just burn money for lulz at that point
This is why $ony is so desperately trying to get people to go digital only and removed backward compatibility, not 'technical limitations'
Steam servers down? Or worse, internet down in your neighborhood due to a drunk driver hitting the junction box...
You own nothing, have fun waiting while I insert disc to install offline 😅 (I have DRM free offline installers from GOG).
I guess you can always take your gaming PC to Starbucks a few miles away and leech their internet until yours is fixed, unless you live rural then you're SOL
Steam does have an offline mode. Its on more of a game by game basis and achievements are disabled if you care about that, but you aren't completely buggered at least. Now streaming services like Netflix or Game Pass on the other hand....
You can’t play Fortnite on Linux without GeForce now or Amazon luna
Start thinking about the 1M subscriber celebration
Dude I got that msi codex a week or two ago when it was 600 and I got a brand new ps5 for 400 lol my set up coming along
Nice video! ❤
I'd always go for pc. Seeing how restricted consoles are.
they finally reached 600k when they deserve 600 million!
I think the general problem with people getting into pc gaming is that it is expensive to get into pc gaming with a competitive pc where on the other hand getting into gaming with a console is just way cheaper and it is pretty competitive out of the box
I would always go with the pc master race
Honestly unless your spending over $750 just get a console. They had a deal on the series X for 350. Not getting a PC close to that spec for that cheap
Stay Toasty bros! All 600k of you! 🎉
Just got done building my first pc. I5 8500 with a 1060 6gb and 16 gb of ram.
Minus al the dlc's and extra content on the pc side of course
Feel like the 5600X3d from Microcenter or the rumor of a 5500X3D could really change the result. Did the upgrade 5600x to a 5800X3D with a 3070 made a huge change. Upgraded later to a 7900XT gpu and it's just been a great time. So if a regular 6 core to a X3d made a difference with a 3070. Feel many gpu will love the V cache.
great content man
My fav pc channel ❤🎉
Awesome vid
you also can factor in that you can play alot more games on pc then a console
Always go for the pc u can optimize it like crazy
Great challenge!
Awesome Idea!
I'd take the PC. No questions asked!
How could the experience be while live streaming gameplay on the pc? That would be a helpful video for streamers
I would say do pc build budget compared to the full price PS5 or Xbox Series X for a person who was to buy warranty and 2 full price games with a year of the membership of the platform that should give more wiggle room for the pc build itself.
for people who have dedicated your careers to GAMING PCS, you sure do suck at the gaming part. love the content tho.
No doubt, truth be told. However, I would have been more tactful. They have feelings. I would have said, they could use room for improvement on their gaming skills.
They were also playing one of the sweatiest games out there Warzone is wild lol that they probably don't really play COD is just a common benchmark game your avg COD sweat probably couldn't touch Elden Ring
I heard that fortnite on dx12 needs a few games played for all the textures to load into cache hence a bit of initial stutter.
Yo I just ordered everything on here can y’all make A build video of this pc so I can build it
Dell Optiplex 9020 Small Form Factor Desktop with Intel Core i7-4770 Upto 3.9GHz, HD Graphics 4600 4K Support, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, DisplayPort, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth - Windows 10 Pro (Renewed
Is this good ?
Get both lol. Congrats on the 600k bros!
Congratulations for 600k sub🎉🎉🎉
Console for the price is the way to go because games are just better optimized on ps5, I have a 4080 in my pc and there's so many broken pc games while thr ps5 version is just flawless, I've also been playing on psvr 2 and it's freaking awesome
i keep watching your pc vids knowing i cant afford a pc 😭
i play on 1660 super for me same like ps5 ;) minimal difference for me. but with Batocera Linux i can play many consoles(ps,ps2,ps3,nintendo wii, switch... + pc games) in one box
I have a dell 9020 with a 1660 super mad it basically plays these games exactly the same. It stands me at about £200. Desperately trying to find an excuse to buy a ps5 but my dated pc and first gen steam deck which I managed to get via part ex a load of old stuff out of the attic seems to give me everything the pS5 would but at a fraction of the price
add 250 more u can get a gaming laptop with a 4060rtx plus its portable bought a gigabyte g5 kf for $750 on blackfriday
If u want save money its perfect budget alternative the consoles
I would like a xbox series x vs gaming laptop video please????
"With the PS5, you're gonna get exclusives..."
There are a lot more PC exclusives than PS5 exclusives...
The series X is on sale at Best Buy
for that price range, a PS5 will usually perform better, but the pc is just a better choice because you have a much better upgrade path, and who knows, in 3 years, you will probably have a much better system than a ps5. Pcs also have many different functionalities, which is good if you want to do anything other than gaming, like work, editing, or 3d modelling.
My man bought SpiderMan 2 for $560 😂😂😂.
Series x’s we’re going for $350 during Black Friday. Ps5’s we’re the same I believe.
The biggest advantage the PS5 has over PC is that online games aren’t full of cheaters.
Rx 5700 xt would be a better pick and the most closest in my opinion
PC ... Always PC 💯
600k LLEETTSS GOOO
The ps5 uses an RX 6700 and you chose an RX 5700. About a 23% difference, the ps5 is much faster
From Ali express💀💀💀💀💀💀
dude if he wanted more frames then he could've chose fsr instead, but idk why he didn't probably not to expose the truth about the ps5.
