- Former BBC MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace has released a series of social media videos defending his conduct after a series of allegations of inappropriate behaviour were made against him.
The presenter said most of the claims came from a "handful of middle class women of a certain age".
And he said he had worked with 4,000 contestants over the years "of all different ages, background and walks of life" and "apparently I'm reading in the paper there have been 13 complaints in that time".
In a second video, he says: "In 20 years, over 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, female contestants on MasterChef, have made sexual remarks, or sexual innuendo, can you imagine?"
BBC News has sent a letter to Mr Wallace's representatives, setting out allegations from 13 people across a 17-year period.
The show's production company said last week Mr Wallace was stepping away from presenting the show while the allegations are investigated.
