I really love this series bc I am a double standard reader an this series as great fun to read Margret and Zac are a great learning people and show how we can grow past tragic trauma to end more than I. Spite of. Every book leads to another step of the growth ladder. I am not sure if tha was your plan but your Alaska series does the same thing. Thank you for fun reads.
I recently discovered your books and am thoroughly enjoying them. This one however I found something that gave me pause. When she was tied up in the kidnappers van, It says she reached out and padded his arm so then I wondered oh did he cut her free, and they did not mention it but then a few sentences later he cut her loose. So then I wonder was he sitting close enough where she could make the effort to touch his arm even though she was tied up. Anyway, love the books.
I agree. She’ll “never forgive him” if she finds out something wrong about him one minute, then is calling him “darling” the next. I liked her character at the start of the series but in this book I’ve started to dislike her-she’s tampering with evidence and putting herself in dangerous situations without backup…I periodically find myself hoping she’ll get hit hard enough over the head that it’ll knock some sense into her!
I'm sorry but I can't listen any more. Criticism on the book and narrator, NOT the person who uploaded it on YT so very kindly. Bad editing, weak story with lots of histrionics and melodrama. The narrator sounds as if she's reading to six year olds. I don't know how this got published in the first place. Moving on to one of the other many books on this channel, for which I am grateful.
I’ve found if you increase the speed to 1.25 it’s more realistic. Compared to the unbelievable news programs of this upside down world I’ll take this baby food gladly.
The first two or three epis are nice .... The storyline is great Then ms.goody two shoes margaret begins to grate, as does hunky Graham, whoz character is not at all believable .... The honey bunch, bejesus, sweetheart, skedaddle and so on are awful

The main character is near psychotic about her son without any just cause. It drives me up a tree!++
