The entire process is art from writing an outline of what you're gonna talk about, lighting the shots, shooting the video & editing the entire thing. If that doesn't define art then I don't know what else does because those are the exact same elements that go into producing a film or a Tv show just on a smaller scale. And you said you call a movie art right?
Daniel Coz Don't compare getting decent lighting and writing a guideline of what you're gonna say in a video with Cinematography and script writing. I'm not hating on youtubers but youtube is not art. It's somethnig anyone with good enough equipment and software can do.

So if someone draws a stick figure, and someone else makes a magnificent painting that sells for millions of dollars, wouldn't they both still be art? Sure, one is simple, small, and able to be done by everyone. But it's still an expression of creative skill and imagination. But, as it is said, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", and I mean this quite literally. There is a sculpture, it's just a coat hanging on a chair, but it's considered art due to it's creator and the story behind it. While some may not think of it that way, others do. There is no exact decision of what art is, everything can be art, and nothing can be art. So the decision that have been made is that if there is creative meaning behind it, it is indeed art.

Art Institutes across the country have been ripping off students for years, targeting low income families and veterans, fast sources of federal money. What's worse is that even though these schools are required by law to follow the 90/10 rule, meaning only 90 percent of a school's funding can come from the federal government, they are specifically targeting veterans now because their federally guaranteed GI bill funds AREN'T Considered "funds from the federal government." The Art Institutes and other for profit colleges are ripping of the most vulnerable of the populace, sometimes to the tune of $180,000 worth of debt, lying about their job placement rates, lying about their teacher backgrounds, lying about their payment plans, lying about post graduation help (which is little more than a bulletin board with Monster.com postings).
Oh My Gosh!!! I'm so Excited and this is So Cool!!! I did something similar to this in a college class called Humanities On The Go (HUGO) where we travel all around Houston and take pictures & videos of different art work from spray paintings to sculptures to pretty much anything you could think of, and then turn all of these findings into videos and make a blog about it! It was so much fun! :) Also one of the place we stop at was something called the Flower Man's House where this homeless guy start gathering up other people's trash and turning it into art work! It is So Cool for you to be working on stuff like this because it brings back so many good memories of the HUGO class that I was in and it was so much fun! Trust me you will have fun, looking at some arts that you wouldn't have even consider possible to be art until you look at it from a different perspective! :) Also I just remembered but our class was divided up into groups and each group had to manage a blog about our experiences, including essays and videos! This just reminds me SO Much of that class! :D
When you mentioned having to turn the shipping container into art, I don't know why but my first thought was "Turn it into a caterpillar and somehow make it so the shipping container can still open, and then when it opens, it transforms into a butterfly." w0wza
I'm so early, I'm getting good at this now. I should be getting paid for this like I think this is now my job being early and liking the video before watching it
