    if two satellite are rotating on the same orbit, do they have the same apogee and perigee?

    Please find out the value of centripetal force in elliptical orbit.
    What is the formula which is other than that in circular orbit which is mv.v/r.

    Halley’s comet is named to honor Edmund Halley (1656-1742). In 1682 Halley determined the orbit of this comet and predicted that it would return about 76 years later. The orbit is elliptical with a focal point at the sun, its major axis is approximately kilometers, and its minor axis is approximately kilometers. How close does this comet pass to the sun?

    Question: If I am using Kilometers for the r1 and r2 values, will the answer be in meters per second or kilometers per second?
    So you say that we only care about the distance from the surface of the earth to the point in the perigee? But wouldn't it make more sense for a scientist when deducing the mu of the earth to assume it was a point mass instead of complicating it by measuring from the surface? Wait never mind, you still measured from the center.

      If your distances (r1 and r2) are given in kilometers, I recommend converting them to meters, doing the math, and then the answer is in meters/second.
      I don't think the equation works if you use anything other than meters for the distance, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

      @@erdanxiloscient3666yeah, you're right, since these things are typically supposed to be in meters since those are the SI units

    Major ___ swings are caused by having a highly elliptical orbit which leads to the body to be extremely close and far away from the sun throughout its orbit …. I have been trying to figure out this cross word puzzle question i have been at it for hours and im lost please help the letters it has is T R R its a 11 letter word

    Excellent. I should do a video about the equation of the Gods. If Z is the semi major axis then the planetary orbits (AU) are related to each other by x=Z(3/2PI) and y=Z(9/4PI). when plotted show the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are related to Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus by a log 30 gradient line of 0.294. Which means the Gods ordered the planets with a hidden equation? Ain't they clever. Haha.

    • @arnolddalby5552
      @arnolddalby5552 6 років тому

      Equation of the Gods is (y-(PI)exp(9/4PI)=(LOG30)exp-1(x-(20PI)exp(3/2PI) or the Gradient. Could be worth checking.

    It is absolutely impossible that an eccentric orbit is symmetrical and narrow. The shape must be closer to a circle.

      Sorry if this is late, but the big error I can see that should fix it is to convert km to metres before doing the equation. Also 1/Rp and 1/A will be very small numbers, make sure you count the zeros correctly.

    Perigee is 2R and apogee is 6R what is the eccentricity

    • @codeine5642
      @codeine5642 5 років тому

      eccentricity=1/2
      Apogee=a(1+e)=6R
      Perigee=a(1-e)=2R
      Divide the two equations and solve for e
      e=1/2

    when you are in a car and the speed changes 5 miles per hour you feel it. heliosphere model has the earth changing speed with an elliptical orbit and we never feel speed changes during june/jan. WHY DONT WE FEEL THE CHANGE? noone ever has been able to answer this for me

    • @RedOctober_
      @RedOctober_ Рік тому +1

      because the speed of earth relative to the sun is huge, it's 186,000 mph. your car goes 50 mph. also the change in velocity happens over half a year from the perihelion to the aphelion so the acceleration is low
