I'm on my 43rd year shooting pool since 8, and tho it had long gaps in action, I have my own fuzzy logic system a lot like Reyes, whom I don't remember knowing of til just 4 or 5 years ago with UA-cam. . . and usually, no matter how little I have played, I can jump on a table and warm up -sometimes, 10, sometimes 20 racks of 8-ball is what it takes to get me up to "A-" . .. but I don't take much stock in school ratings, just know I could potentially keep everybody in a room right on their butts for a few hours.
I asked this question before. I guess in Germany it is common for them to make small divots on the table so that the balls fall in to place. I think I seen Earl Strickland talk about this also. From what I understand you set up the rack perfectly, and you hold the balls in place, and someone else will keep tapping on the balls to make an endation. I'm not sure if I explained that well. I know when the balls just won't rack good we used to take the cue ball and tap the balls down to settle them. I think some leagues ban this though.
