Glad they’re offering discounted tickets but I wish it was 3+ days. Our sweet spot at DLR is 4 days and longer at WDW. I’m also disappointed about the household rule. We have a trip next year with my mother and would love to get her ticket at a discount too.
Oof yeah I saw the ticket discounts/details were released and ehhhh yeah the lack of flexibility is rough. If I want a 4 day ticket at Disneyland, better off buying that then doing a 3 day through this "perk" and a single 1 day ticket, which is frustrating for sure. And yeah I think I'll probably forever gripe about the household rule. Just feels so unnecessary. It's not an annual pass, it's a single ticket!
Totally agree with you on the household rule for max 8 tix. Would love to host friends & family with discounted tix even if they live elsewhere. We’d all be traveling from other states so 10% off tix would be nice. Not every adult child or grandchild or grandparent live in the same house as the members. PLUS 5-day tix on weekdays only is not flexible enough. Some only need 2 or 3 or 4 days park access. And people usually need the weekends to help w/ time off. 10% off 5-days is still more than full price for 3-days. Hence not a perk at all for some.
Yeah the ticket deals just feel SO constrained. There's the household rule, the this exact number of days, the weekdays only, at WDW it's a pretty short use window too... and then yeah I saw the prices drop and the WDW discount was sssaaaadddd lol. I mean better than nothing if it works for you, but to your point not gonna work for all travel plans (maybe most travel plans? It's just so restrictive)!
I’m a lowly resale only member at this time, but the bonus OTUP is definitely the best perk at surface level! I’m not interested in the exchange, but I’ve read that guides are currently pushing it. The other perks are mostly TBD because we don’t really know what they mean 🤷♀️
You really did you homework! Thank you for taking the time. I really got the gist of this program with this information. I would suggest speaking a littlebit slower, I found it difficult to follow sometimes, maybe it's just me. Again, thank you very much!
Hi - thanks for those kinds words and I'm glad this helped! I basically started my channel because I was very annoyed by all the folks who take 45+ minutes to cover topics I felt could be covered in 10-15 minutes if they just cut the fluff and spoke at an efficient pace. So I actually purposefully go this fast--it's part of the channel mission/ethos. But! I do update all the captions, and I find reading along is super helpful for comprehension, so if you also learn better that way you could turn captions on. Also you can adjust the playback speed via your UA-cam settings if that's helpful. Thanks again!
i agree this feels super pedantic. every 'perk' has too many asterisks. its only a hundred bucks, would it have killed them to just include it for free or make it $500 and include less asterisks? they gotta not use "magic" for these sorts of spreadsheet math perks. hopefully the $99 is being used to hire more phone staff, the tickets alone are going to tie up the phone lines.
Oh for sure, if you were already going to buy a single entitlement memory maker at WDW this just makes sense period. A lot of people who buy the AP via DVC though also buy the memory maker add-on, so a perk for some but not for all! Overall, such a strangely constructed bonus program in many regards haha
@PixieDustPhD I can understand but as a west coast resident who only owns enough points to go to DW 5-6 days a year, and no need for the extra discount perk (since just being a DVC member gives you all the same discounts), as well as no need to park a car, the AP isn't worth it for me (you need to go at least 10 days to recoup cost without the extra factors). This, however definitely is, since I always want Photopass.

Disney is setting up so many different categories of experience I can't keep track. 46 days till my December trip. Can't wait to see what SSR is like!
You’ll love it!
$99 for a photopass plus priority lounge access, or $210 for the photopass alone? Choice seems obvious to me.
