Hi patrick, I am Deivão , I was happy to see that you liked my knot, this explanation was much better, many more people did and will do this tie knot, thank you very much
I'm curious if you would know how to do the tie that the crime lord Silco wears in animated series Arcane. I've come close but the knot leaves way too much material left behind and I have to fold some of it under my belt to prevent it from hanging loose
Attend a private school (expensive/posh/requires a tie) which forces me to wear a tie. 8 years ago I thought it was awful. Then I discovered Patrick Novotny and learnt that knots can be more fun than the standered Windsor. Oh and as an act of rebellion on the last day of the last school year we all wore a Finfroc knot to school. The teachers could do nothing - you have to wear a tie but nobody ever said you can't have a cool knot. Anyways, thought you may want to know. Keep up the good work.
I was looking for some exames to practice the Eldredge Knot for my wedding. Guess I just found the real knot I am using for my wedding now. This is a real beauty! Thnx.
thanks you Patrick.I learn some awsome tie knot from u.And now,in all wedding i came (in my country everyone only used simple knot even rare to seen someone with double knot) .Man want me to teach them or jealous.Women are eulogize me.I'm not a handsome guy but now i get more self-confident.All thanks to you ! You know ! When i tie one knot everyone said : "how u can do that ?" that sound GREAT lol
wing boy_unborn@yahoo.com Thank you for sharing and that's exactly why I love wearing these knots and I love that other people get to experience that to. Amazing and thank you.
Oooh this is sooo cool!!! I have never tied A tie in my life! But this saturday im entering A riding competition, and i want to wear A tie!! - i already bought it - and im gonna make A devatio twisted knot on it - and shine!!! ❤️❤️❤️ thank you!!
+Patrick Novotny Patrick, thank you for your videos. People are constantly complimenting my ties now. Every week I practice a different one. Thank you very much :-)
+Alejandro Rios Cintron You're welcome and thank you for sharing your positive experiences. It really encourages me to keep making new videos and new knots to share with everyone.
luv your videos! I will be buying my son his first custom tailored suit and I wanted his tie to be different and fresh. You really do a great job explaining and showing us how it's done. Thank you!
+Patrick Novotny (The Tie Guy) Hi Patrick, Thank you for your videos , I am too teaching my son (11 years old) the quintessential British look with a touch of Novotny, True love & Lenford all of which are very very good !!...keep up the great work!!
Until now, of course, the Novotny Knot!!! That's pretty awesome and elegant... Combine elegance and modesty, mixed in 1... Very very Thank you, man...! We Support you!!!
Randall Phoenix I'm pleasantly surprised and I am very grateful for everyone's support and it fuels me to do more and expand this channel to make it something of a great resource to everyone. Thank you again and take care.
Patrick I love ur knots can u do some of Linwood knots and teach us how to do them. One of them is the mosaic. I just can not follow him. I follow u better. Please help.
Excellent video. I would like to suggest that if you don't already, flip your videos to make it easiest for folks to follow along as if they were looking at you in the mirror. It would make it easier to follow along and tie while the video is providing the tutorial.
Are you using a longer than usual tie? Those initial shoulder loops use up a lot of real-estate on the narrow end. Avoid this by starting from a four in hand knot.
Longer tie or wear a vest to cover up the bigger end as you would start it short on your chest so you have more little end to work with. I hope that helps.
Jose Sanchez about 60 inches. If you use a tie with a thinner fabric not like the one I'm using that has a satin finish then it should be less hungry with the same length tie. Great question Jose and thank you for asking.
Patrick Novotny Thank you. I have the tie movements down, but none of my ties allow me to do the three loops. I make it to about two complete loops before having to terminate it. I'll just keep that in mind when shopping for a new tie. Again, thank you for replying.
I've probably tried this knot with 10 different ties and I can never get it right. Are you using extra long tie? I run out of material prior to the last pass through
+Brady DeGroot Regular length tie. It could be the thickness of the material that is eating up your length or perhaps you need an extra long tie to fit your body.
BiXis Thanks. This tie might be 60 inches. Most of my ties are between 57-60". If you are using old vintage ties they were made shorter then today's ties, then you might want to look for extra long ties if you want to do more of the braided style necktie knots.
@@Awesomesauce0096 get some high waisted pants, you can get away with a shorter tie with those, and it’s a very classic look. Though you might need custom tailoring to get that these days
What does the color of the tie mean? Red represents power, wealth, strength, and passion. Often they are worn by the office leaders or by some groups of people who need to be motivated. Blue is a calming color that means peace and balance. It is the best choice when you go to conversations where quarrels and harsh words are expected, since peace and balance should not be understood as a sign of weakness, but as perseverance and longevity. The yellow color of the Sun represents a positive atmosphere and vitality. People who have this color of ties usually radiate heat, and transmit their positive energy to people around them. Green represents growth and renewal. People who like to learn and increase their knowledge and skills often opt for a green color. Brown represents a person who is very grounded and real. Although many feel that one should have great goals and ambitions, a certain dose of sedation is always desirable. People who wear brown color are usually very reliable. Black represents a formality. It is often dressed in occasions and social events that require seriousness.
you sir are fantastic, however, please slow down. this may be easy for you but a lot of us are beginners and need the time. please try to understand and accommodate your viewers.
Thank you James for bringing it up and I try to remain conscious of the pace that I'm moving forward with the knot. Thank you again for watching and for the constructive feedback.

Яков Купцов Thank you for the kind words and I'm am very grateful for everyone that has subscribed and watched my videos.
I suppose this works with wide ties only?Because my ties are all narrow and i cannot get to the end without them looking like a mess.
Going to be giving this a try this weekend.
FrugalFellowsFashion Share on instagram. Love to see it
Just tied this knot... it's really kool!! Never thought I'd get compliments for something as boring as a tie....
Subscribed!
If you think a tie is boring, you are gravely mistaken, buddy. This is a prime example as to why ties can make a good look great!
great instruction. got it on my first try but did it even cleaner on the second try
Thanks Patrick Novotny ...
Nice, thank you Patrick.

+Narine Bipat Thank you Sir.

Parabéns pela arte bem criativa!!!👔👔👔
thank you Patrick for making these videos. I actually have a knot I created today and want to share it with you. how can I share it with you?
+Reyes Salguero Email me. or private message me on my facebook page. Links are in the video description. Email mai is in my about page,
Patrick Novotny can you make a video of this guy's knot? I'd love to see it too!
Patrick I keep running out of space in the one main loop that all the wraps go into and it looks cocked and not straight. Any suggestions?
***** It might be easier with a tie with a different weave.
I'm conflicted as to whether or not keep my eldtedge knot or use this deivao twist fir that blue knot with the day navy knot and plaid end
Artashir Martel I don't think you can go wrong with an Eldredge knot, but it's up to you.
Do you have any suggestions on how not to end up short on tie length half way through.
Longer tie or wear a vest to cover up the bigger end as you would start it short on your chest so you have more little end to work with. I hope that helps.
Hi Patrick, did you have some family in Central europe?
How long should be the tie? My neck is 43 cm.
Just out of curiosity, about how long is the tie you're working with? I love this knot, but it's so fabric hungry.
Jose Sanchez about 60 inches. If you use a tie with a thinner fabric not like the one I'm using that has a satin finish then it should be less hungry with the same length tie. Great question Jose and thank you for asking.

Jose Sanchez You are most welcome Sir. Have a Merry Christmas.

+Brady DeGroot Regular length tie. It could be the thickness of the material that is eating up your length or perhaps you need an extra long tie to fit your body.
I was finally able to tie it! Instead of spiraling, then making the triangle, I just started by making a triangle. Looks good!
jesus christ, this knot require really long tie. even my longest is not long enough. still great job, use your videos a lot :)
BiXis Thanks. This tie might be 60 inches. Most of my ties are between 57-60". If you are using old vintage ties they were made shorter then today's ties, then you might want to look for extra long ties if you want to do more of the braided style necktie knots.
Nice
Increíble 👌🏼👔
thank you thank you thank you
if anyone has trouble getting enough length on the little end like i did, try usinga half winsor base instead of a full if you know what i mean
You know... that almost worked but I still ran out of length still haha! Really great advice
@@Awesomesauce0096 get some high waisted pants, you can get away with a shorter tie with those, and it’s a very classic look. Though you might need custom tailoring to get that these days
welcome!!!

I cant do this.. I even bought an EL tie.. I always end up short with material :(
Extra Long*
Request: Hermes "Reverse Knot". Could you please demonstrate how to tie this type. Even the clerks could not do it.
Jonathan Walker Sure. I'd have to figure it out. Do you have a picture of it?
If anyone would be so helpful as to provide a list of the names of each one of these ties, I would be eternally grateful.
Hi Emiliano, there might be an out of date list that was going around. Can you private message me your email and I'll forward you what I have,
Patrick Novotny Yes, thank you! How should I contact you?
info@patricksellsvictoria.com

+Jesus Villeda yes, it's on my to do list.

+Reyes Salguero Yes. I found it :)
I wish you would redo your videos in 1080p

Anyone else ran out of tie ages before finishing?

I don't have a chicken neck to pull that off
Hermes.com under "How To" section. I will try to snap a screen shot for you. It has instructions but they don't work. Odd.
Jonathan Walker Thanks. I have been checking that website, but I can't find the how to section. Can you post a link?
I apologize. It is located in the TIE BREAK app under HOW TO KNOT. I cannot seem to open it otherwise. I tried to send a screen shot but it won't load in this format.

That's not need a very huge tie to be made more than 1m80
you're going too fast
Lost interest already with the crappy music
+Jess Philip Rodriquez sorry about that. I suck a lot less in my newer videos :)
