I feel like they should have added the horse into cottage living. I was wondering if they made a new western world specifically for farm ambience or not.
Becuase they can make a separate expansionary get twice the money for it. Capatalism. EA's business model for the sims since they bought it was to piece meal out content and charge as much as they could for it. That's there track record on every game the acquirer.
I agree, it would fit better as a gamepack. The only features it brings to the tables are horses in general, and i honestly feel as though they made it an expansion pack because people have been wanting it for a lng time. SOme people says its bc it comes with a new world however other game-packs have included worlds. it just isnt giving but regardless it may just be bc im not that interested in horses as everyone else seems to be.
They will find a way every time to make money so if they release every little new thing they add as a completely seperate expansion then they can profit off that, so instead of adding it to cottage living like they should have they will release as a seperate pack to make more money 😅
I read people saying they used more resources than usual to make horses so they probably added in little “extras” AKA recycled content taken in different forms in order to justify it “qualifying” as an EP in order to change $40 and make max profits, and I completely see that and agree lol.
I want to know why the nectar making wasn't apart of My Wedding Stories, like Tartosa has that Sacilian style that would have fit *perfectly* with that pack

Preach, the whole "expansion" pack just looks so empty and recycled to me? I mean, yeah of course, horses, goats and sheeps are new to the game, yet the goat/sheep functions are just cow/llama repeated, and honestly, some parts of the horse, goat and sheep animations look suspiciously similiar to the animations of big dogs, llamas and cows. Especially when the goat/sheep jump into the arms of the toddler, it's almost identical to how Toddlers hug small dogs, head pats and shoulder where the animals head rest included - it also explains the weird tongue-out-panting the goat does, lol. I love the southwestern atmosphere of the world and I'm very excited for Native American inspired content as well as the nectar making, but it's definitely one of the packs that I won't buy until it's at least 50% off.
They most likely used dogs models to create and model the goats and sheep, the roll-over animation is also one that reoccurs in cats & dogs. So in reality they are just reskinned dogs with some gameplay taken from cottage living, classic ea move.
It looks like you can't add mini goats and mini sheep to your houshold wich is so dissapointing, they'd make an excellent alternative pets, since we only can have cats and dogs as pets. But, yeah, agree with everything you said, so far, this looks more like a game pack rather than an expansion pack. It also feels like they just added a bunch of random features from different packs to justify it being an expantion. This smells of "cash grab", especially for new players who might buy newer packs, but only then discover it has features of already existing packs. I don't see anything unique that would be intresting for the old players. As much as I love horses, they are not enough to justify buying a whole expansion pack with existing features. I really hope there is more to this pack, because it does look fun and horses are fun, but, so far, it looks lackluster.
I agree but tbh any new farm animals will have the same purpose as some already introduced, since yk thats how it is irl 😭I doubt they'd add animals that are only used for meat cuz the game is too wholesome for that
I hope old town road is a new song on the sims game for thoughts that are getting this. I only have seasons, island living, and eco and I have to switch between island living and eco since I play on the playstation.
I do miss having horses in the game. We can raise them from Colts now, animation is smoother, the Line dancing is new.ive the idea of goats and sheep. But in the Cottage Living pack you can have only one animal at a time for the Llama or the Cow. Not both at the same time. This new expansion may allow 2 horses to be owned then ? I wonder at same time ? If horses were simply added to cottage living the base game would have been unavailable to play the game just to make room for the horses and any glitches or bugs it may cause. How long before being able to play the game again ? I was hoping for the Unicorn mystery horse to come back from Sims 3. But it doesn't look like it.use to get a special gift from the Unicorn. I wish they would bring the fairies back, and spiral stair cases again. Also the magic mirror from Sims 3 into sims 4. The colour wheel we used to have back into Sims 4. Make them available for all platforms of play. More cultural packs and clothing too would be great. But would mean a bigger base game update. Sims 4 has so much more potential.🙂
The recent packs & especially "expansion packs" have been really lackluster, it sounds like they are giving us less and less in every pack then put an expensive price tag on it. Their standards and pack type requirements get lower and lower which is really not a good sign and worst part of all they keep getting away with it 💀
sims4 has new graphic so they had to make a lot of new expansive animations for the horses Sims3 could use a Lot of animations from Sims 2 so i guess that they could not bring so much new, gameplay for the horses expansion because of those complete new horses animations what btw is one of the most difficult things to animate in a game so I am glad they did it anyway.
It's EA. There model is less for more. Never expect anything less. As with all companies. I have been playing since Sins one and owned every sims contrnt expect Batuu. ALWAYS expect less contenet.
Not here too :( If I could own only one EP, it would be this one. It comes down to what sort of game play do you enjoy? Cats and Dogs is an EP. Compare game play between this and that. Which one introduces more new game play? HR has new lot types, new activities, new culture, new events, many new skills, new hobby, new ways to make money, and overall a new lifestyle and theme. Besides all that, horses and ranches need a full sized world, not a game pack world.
Well, I guess we'll never get cars as they're just now getting around to the horses that should have came with Cottage Living or a Country Living pack.
I don’t mind the fact that the sheep and goats are just like the cows and llamas because it means we would get a choice of which ones we want more. I personally don’t understand the point of the llama because sheep are less likely to bite people shearing them. The trailer also didn’t show any sheep in it. I love old western style and I am excited for baby goats and hearing them scream, but I’m not sure a $50 is dollars is worth it. I’m not a horse person, I think they are cool and I have seen people riding horses in the city but I don’t think I would use them much in gameplay.
Literally everything in the pack is recycled content...I own every pack (except that Katy Perry nonsense lol) from every Sims game ever except 4. This is the first iteration that I refuse to buy them all. I just can't justify any of this.
