I’ve had them pipe cutters since I was an apprentice. One of the best buys I’ve made!
knipex mini wrench is another must have tool! absolutely amazing
I'm still using the Nerrad ones I was lucky enough to win from a Plumberparts competition at my first PHEX. What a great day that was! Hold tight!
Jeezs fella ... best intro to any vid I’ve seen yet. My missus thinks I’ve lost it while I’m laughing at this one
thanks lad iv these ordered
Great review! If anybody is struggling to turn a pipe slice in a confined space, a strap wrench can help, and I bet they would work a blinder with these ratchet cutters..
I’ve been planning on getting this brand for a while, it’s good to see them being demonstrated. I’ll put them on my Christmas list. Thanks #alearmy
These ox look interesting will consider these due an upgrade using kopex pipeslice and Monument clamshell for years now
I’ve got them on my mb3b bag and like you i rate them ,great for cutting loose pipe when doing installs but if it’s already piped up under a floor for instance I’ve found them to be abit of a nightmare, once you’ve cut through the pipe it takes ages faffing around to get the cutter off the pipe lining up the opening, a few times I’ve had water letting by and the cutter wouldn’t come off and then my gloves got stuck in the ratchet 😂
Great as usual. I want a pipe cutter to cut a pipe in one motion and exact length/width so that I can fit an isolation valve. Any ideas will be welcome, thanks
Love them pipe slicers! Many of memories me trying to turn my slicer up against a tight wall and coming away with some very soar knuckles! 😭
100% do the plastering! you will get mega views! love the channel.
Got one of these other month and love it just started doing bits of plumbing on the house. Id reccomend getting a medium sponge float if ur doing plastering about £10 on amazon realy helps with getting the wall flat after first coat
@@plumberparts no probs i skimmed my first couple of rooms lat month came out well. You can put one sachet of creame of tartar intonthe warer as mixing one bag plaster gives u more time or can buy extra time sachets they do help. Good look mate
Hi James, really like yours videos. I was wondering any chance to make video about installing water arrestor by any chance? Regards
Do you have a how to video please on how to rerun hot/cold feeds for bath taps, our new bath is having taps at the side instead of the top of the bath and we have old pipes
Always make me laugh mate 😂
Nerrad pro slice my choice 😍😍😍😍
Same here ma man. Try the Milwaukee M12 pipeslice another great bit of kit. Can be a bit bulky though 👍
Will this pipe slices cut 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch copper
Come on OX! Make 28's!
Ahh so it’s just a regular pipe slice with a ratchet handle, they do look good, I’ve got a set of Ox plastic pipe slices 15-40mm and they are great!
I bought some of those Ox cutters, after you recommended them. I just forgot to buy them from your toolstore. ooops
I have those pipe slices plus I have 2 veto pro pac bags the tech mc and tech mct , my missus is not pleased with you James coz it cost her over £350 for the 2 bags alone 😂 thanks mate I love them
Find out how many different bags and shoes your missus has. Tad hypocritical if your missus is owt like mine.
@@loafersheffield mate if I was like her I’d have another 2 wardrobes like her 😂😂
I had the legs on my tube cutters surgically amputated, so that they cannot sneak off.
I use -
Monument MON1715 1715C Autocut Copper Pipe Cutter 15 mm , with the , Monument Ratchet Handle To Fit MON15PC - MON15R
Monument Autocut Copper Pipe Cutter 22mm - MON1722Y with the Monument Ratchet Handle To Fit 22PC - MON22R
they do not have a big diameter, so are easier to use.in situ. yours are good aswell, " horses for couses. I like Kopex cutters aswell., what tool do you use for deburring.?
all your videos are educational, and entertaining, from someone who knows what they're talking about. and years of experiance.
Hiya mate I need s bit of advice. I've got an old 21mm copper pipe going to through a compression joint into 15mm copper. The joint kept leaking so I was thinking of changing it with a 15mm x 22mm JG speedfit coupler. Thing is the old copper pipe measures 21mm and it's a 22mm coupler. Will it be ok?
Sounds like an old house . You may have imperial measurement 3/4" . If so you'll need an MI fitting. Metrice to Imperial. Looks like a coupling but one side metric the other imperial
I really wish they made these for the USA
When will you be continuing the bathroom refurb series?
HOPE to film more on Friday - but that depends if my plastering works out! It's bloody hard!
Hey James r u going to do plaster with your plumbing tools lol 👍🏼😉
Ox Tools are as hard as...something hard. If the pipe is against a wall, though, don't you reach for the oscillating multi tool?
My biggest problem with pipe slices is hanging on to them. Need a slice with some kind of device to enable me to find them😂
Which veto pack us it??
Another issue with the traditional pipe slice is that they are grey….so dull that you can easily overlook and lose them…plus they are round and prone to rolling away under floorboards etc
Can I use wd40 to lubrecat my ox rachet pipe cutter
Looking forward to the plastering video 😂
It will be filmed....I have no idea if it will make iot on the channel! 😂
It's all about the Milwaukee electric pipe Slice
@@plumberparts I highly recommend looking at one, definitely speeds up the process and eliminates wrist problems in the future
Do that plastering video!
Deffo need a 28. Had these for a year and not lost em. They dont roll down a stack or box work as easy. But for tight as f pipes i still use standard ones with big grips as the ratchet.
I am still pissed that i used my rothenberger ratchet plastic pipe cutter on a bog overflow pipe thinking it was plastic. Turned out to be very nicely painted galved conduit, fucking electricians.
The Biden US Inauguration live........or a video about Pipe Slices with Jimbo......Who’s here tuning in! 😂
one boy i dont want to turn out like
Dude, fuck me, your still doing that bathroom. I thought I was slow doing my own house. I put up a temporary shower screen up 6 months ago. So far, I am winning!
@@plumberparts I dunno if I need to get the small violin out or the wet vac. Boooo hoooo ;) Also, you sure your not just winging it half the time. If I had a plane to play with, I would :)
Fact! Plumbing tools run away when you turn your back
Is there a need to demurring the pipe with one of those beauties?
am i the only one who has to keep going back to reset immersion heaters . getting pissed off big time
Get the cap off your toothpaste and put it on the lube.
Can't you just sell the bag with all tools in order because Friday nights make my bag look hectic spend more time looking for tools then working
I know it is your bathroom but I hope you went back and picked your rubbish up, you were quite professional until then?
Too big for me
