Or, more to the point, if the police don't have any reason to think they are, which they invariably don't.
      The sad fact is that in the end the detail of the law is increasingly irrelevant. The police will do whatever they want, to anyone, for any reason, at any time, because they are essentially unregulated and there is effectively zero risk of any personal discomfort for them. It's far easier to take your frustrations out on a completely innocent photographer than on a criminal, who might actually be dangerous, then you can go back and tell your boss you had a busy day.

    Under section 58 it is an offence to collect or make record of information that could be used in planning a terrorist attack. However;
    Subsection 3A however, provides a valid defence "if the person at the time did not know, and had no reason to believe that the document or record in question contained, or was likely to contain, information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, or if the record was for the purposes of carrying out work as a journalist, or academic research".

Okay you're not a terrorist. Will you speak with me no. Terrorist!

    • @CH3FFI3
      @CH3FFI3 Рік тому +1

      @@PeterPiper-j8t we see a lot of that in these kinds of videos because the bar for good policing is set so low. I'm glad someone else has spotted it.
      "He didn't force ID so he's a good cop". No ya goofball, he already knows who the auditor is because he runs up to the police begging to talk to them as soon as they arrive. He's in their database so they don't need to ID him.
      The attitude of the cops on arrival goes like this. We'll calm the guard down, give this 'auditor' his content, wind him up a bit and play him for a fool for those that are paying attention, then be on our way.
      If the 'auditor' ever says where he's going next they wouldn't even turn up, they'd just phone it in. "We know who that is, just ignore him and he'll go away."
      No content, no clickbait titles, nothing. It's the same schtick every video. "I'm allowed to record in public and I'm allowed to be a nuisance, it's not against the law"
      "Of course you are and nobody is stopping you. Just don't make any mistakes because we'll be there if you do."
      I've seen a number of auditors suddenly stop for no apparent reason. And I've seen some delete all of their videos. Mistakes are very expensive.
      For TGA to be lead around with his emotions like that I'm surprised he hasn't made mistakes before.

    • @PeterPiper-j8t
      @PeterPiper-j8t Рік тому +1

      @@CH3FFI3 I also wondered why TGA felt it necessary to approach the police and ask if they’ve been called for him, because I would rather he said nothing and not engaged with them until they approached him. Agree with regards the cop is good because he didn’t ask for ID, but is interesting how so many comments on this video were suggesting how nice he was and how polite when he was belittling and patronising. As you say few cops aren’t now aware of audits, and many regularly watch them, especially being there are now so many to watch.
      One of my favourite auditors to watch is focus Pocus because he is very confident and knows his stuff and takes control without grovelling or being unnecessarily stroppy like some auditors are, but unfortunately he rarely uploads any videos.

    • @CH3FFI3
      @CH3FFI3 Рік тому +1

      @@PeterPiper-j8t I hear ya. Not sure if I seen any Focus Pocus I'll go and check it out.
      The commenters are as repetitive as the videos so it's become an echo chamber. It's ironic that the police study the auditors but the auditors don't study the police. One is advancing faster than the other.
      I watch a lot but would be hard pressed to name a handful of good ones who know what they're doing. There's some absolute spanners trying to 'audit' now because it's so lucrative. But I'm beginning to believe it's a phase that is going to burn itself out or someone is going to munt it completely and there will be a backlash.
      Perhaps an agent provocateur will be organised. You can be sure MI6 are looking at it closely. It's a shame because it has a lot of potential to teach the public about the world they live in. All it's managed to do is annoy a few NPCs.

    If you go around filming sensitive sites expect the occupants to get anxious and call the Police, then be prepared to allow them to search you, 'just in case' and because having now been called to the scene and the law suggests that they can you can expect them to do their usual; 'subject the public to all possible sanctions and impositions thing' because it's repressive, (maintains 'public order') and promotes a culture of subordination to The Institutions of The State, AND THAT IS WHAT THEY MYOPICALLY SEE AS BEING THEIR PRIMARY FUNCTION! Upholding your rights occupies a much lower priority if any at all!
