- (WATCH IN HD) Hey guys! Todays video is a extreme highend eyeshadow palette declutter I have 66 palettes to start with!!! Thats insane and way to many eyeshadow palettes for one person to have! So I go through my whole collection with you guys today and we declutter 45%!! Id say thats pretty good, hopefully you enjoy this massive eyeshadow palette declutter!

Hey guys so I did mess up the modern renaissance is not that old. It is only from 2016 I mixed it up with another palette 🤣 we all make mistakes lol

I feel like stacking palettes like this makes reaching for them difficult and makes you use them less. I always try to avoid stacking products for this reason because I tend to forget about the ones on the bottom

Me***technically you can keep eyeshadow until it smells weird or looks like it is growing fungus or mold on it :) ⤵️⤵️⤵️
Side note: you were supposed to contact melt if your palette puffed up and they were replacing them for free.
lauren skubish that is true I used to keep my eyeshadow a lot longer before, but my collection has gotten out of control as of lately 😨

Anna annanymous I’ve heard they had to put an expiration date on their products, for legal reasons. So if anything happens to you because of a palette that’s older than 2 years, you can’t blame the company.

Donate it to a women's shelter for domestic violence survivors
Because of sanitary reason, they won't take it, in Canada at least. They only take unused ones. I give mine to women on the streets with a mini care package. I use my Ipsy bags. It's cuter.

Probably won't take them unless they are new/sealed. Otherwise, there's no way to prove it's sanitary and is a liability.
So unfortunately I am not selling any of the palettes in this video. They are set to be donated or given away locally. Unless they are actually expired like a few were in the video those are going in the bin since I don’t want to giveaway expired makeup. I’m sorry! 💕

Love your collection. Declutering videos are my favorite. The blood money palette is a classic and I use that one so much and I didn’t think I wouldn’t use that as much as I do either.

Wow beauty with an edge! That was my first palette ever! I used it til it was gone and bought it a 2nd time! I had the even older packaging that was black with a purple skull & gun. That’s what started it all for me. My palette obsession

Didn‘t know of the Brand Alter Ego and at first i was really exited to see some new palettes with cool packaging but then i realisef it was mostly Natasha Denona Dupes and one Huda Dupe 🙈

Jacky Landis It is indeed French but not pronounced « ta » in the middle, more like the é of Beyoncé: pro-té-jé (means protected)

@@RaniaMich Actually grandiose isn't English, it's French as well, itself coming from the Italian grandioso, its root being the word grande/grand, which means big. Although I agree on the pronounciation : it should be gran-dee-oz
@@maimai1151 oh i know it's also french, but since she's obv an english speaker, she could have known it from english, since not from french. They also use the word protégé, and she seems anaware of that one too.... I'm not an english or a french native speaker and know that both words exist in both languages, how they are pronounced in both languages, and she doesnt. It leaves me stunned!
@@RaniaMich I know mate, I'm French and I'm a French teacher to English speakers in New Zealand... you'd be amazed at how much a lot of the people here don't know about their own language. I'd assume it's the same in the US, in the UK, in Australia, etc. I think that for us non-English speakers, having to learn English, we're more cautious about this kind of stuff because we wanna speak well, hence why you know and she doesn't. Lots of native English-speakers don't even care 🤷♀️

I have the original Naked palette, got it around the time it launched, it smells fine, works great, and doesn't irritate my eyes. I'll keep it forever, even if I eventually stop using it, since it was a gift. I tend to go by how well they perform as opposed to how old they are, since they're not cheap.
When my husband complains that I have too many, I should show him these decluttering videos.

My smoke sessions palette is still perfect. I bought it in June. Never had the issue others have had. And I have Gemini and 27 too.

I have the Gemini palette and the Smoke Sessions and both are great, no problems , and I've had them since 2018-Gemini and 2019-Smoke. I hear about exploding shadows so I check them often just to make sure. Maybe it has to do with storage, I keep mine in a drawer in my vanity, away from any heat. ??
I bought my smoke sessions during the early release when it first launched and never had any problems with it, same with my gemini. It makes me believe climate was a factor in the issues they had.
33:50 - Yep, my Melt Smoke Sessions is fine. I bought it after the initial launch. The gemini palette had the thing with the weird puffy shimmers, but that palette is mostly mattes!

Hi nice to see your collection it’s great that we all look at things so differently, I just had a major declutter and passed on all my drug store makeup to my family and only kept my high end , I still have a 9 drawer Alex unit wiith only one for hair care the rest is all makeup , since a teenager.i was taken by my mum to start me on skin care then I started nursing and it was easy I just went to buy makeup and yes Estée Lauder throughout my working life I was a one brand lady then I came across Charlotte tilbury and Chanel so that’s me addicted ! But I am on a no buy for a year to use up my gorgeous makeup , all my subscription boxes cancelled instead I subscribe to a pyjama box ! I love to use my treasures now best thing l have every done . I bought my Smoke Sessions on April 20th 2019 relaunch and it's still very good : the shadows haven't burst out of their pan, so I think they change something !
How do you like this palette? I have Gemini(2 since they sent me a second one because of the bursting) but I kinda want smoke sessions too
@@Erika-sj8lv I love it ! It's hard to work with it for a day to day look but combined with Gemini it's actually super nice ! Sometimes I just slap one of the golds all over my lid and call it a day 👌 I get a lot of complements when I use it 💚 if you like Gemini it's a good companion palette. And if you feel like some dramatic looks and crazy green smokeys, it's the palette you need :D

For things like mascara/eyeliner/lip/foundations/concealers/primers ect. The wet stuff I am usually pretty good t getting rid of them on time, but as long as powders like blush/eyeshadows/setting powders ect. I don’t really follow the shelf life, I’ve never had a problem with keeping powders and I doubt I’ll be able to finish a eyeshadow palette/blush in a year or two given how many I have

On the side, I hope you are able to fix the smoke sessions palette. I almost bought it when it first came out just because it is so gorgeous, but it had been sold out... and then I started getting all these palettes from ipsy and boxycharm, that I didn't feel I should use my money to buy yet another palette separately. With those issues, I guess it's a good thing I forgot about it.
Hello love im new to your channel and I enjoy you. Yes I know this is an old video I just wanted to share a tip for cleaning pallets. Put a make up wipe over a flat powder with a flat bottom. You can glide it over all the shadows and not get them wet. Helps clean it up💜
I only have 3 pallets. Blood Sugar, Jeffree X Morphe and the mini controversy. This video makes me want to go buy more. 👄💄

Just so you know Urban Decay "Beauty With An Edge" is their slogan. I had bought their Heavy Metals palette and made the same mistake until I looked it up. LOL I have no clue which one you had. (If I had to guess I would say Moon Dust palette). Love your video. I just decluttered 16 of my palettes to a friend plus a full face of makeup like blushes and powders. It was all I had not reached for in over a year and I would hate to waste anything. Now I have everything I love. Not buying this year. I have Boxycharm so won't need to unless it is a treat. lol

Life with Meagan I have the blood sugar palette and it’s by far the best eyeshadow palette I’ve ever used!!!
If you like pinks I highly recommend blood sugar. There's also enough neutrals colors to do a nice neutral look

Just watched your videos. I love these types of declutters!
My only complain though is please, do not think or say that because a palette is limited edition people will not be able to buy it and recreate the look, so you should get rid of it. On the opposite, it’s interesting to see the makeup actually being used (even when it’s not sold anymore) and as makeup lovers we can always dupe the vibe of most eyeshadow palettes with the rest of our collection!
My smoke sessions palette did the exact same thing as yours. I would leave it laid flat in my drawer and not use it for a couple of days and there’d STILL magically be escaped shadow all over the place I was losing SOOOO much product while not using it. The mess was insane I ended up getting rid of mine because the shimmer particles were invading other palettes at the end

Great declutter
I got my smoke sessions this spring and all the golden shimmers on the left side are so hard pressed it has no pigmentation that comes off when swatching and trying to use with a brush is impossible. They got hard pan immediately. Basically the whole left side is unusable.
I told melt about my smoke session palette and they replaced it, it does not have the same problem
