The sad reality is there are a lot of Educated Somalis who can change the whole nation within a decade but our biggest problem is that Somalis aren't nationalist, the people don't have an incentive to go back to their country to try and build it. As you know, when you are educated you will get a stable life and more income in the West, so people don't come back to Somalia. Everyone is waiting someone else to change the country.

Watching this documentary made me cry, it not inform us of the potential and the power of collective work and national building. Once capable people blessed with the beautiful land and resources - have now reduce global beggars. Living on the generosity of others due to primitive, unrelenting and insidious power of tribal politics millions have perished and what was built and achieved was destroyed. Anyone with conscious will shed tears and pity our current predicament. SIYAD might have been a dictator but he was never a thief that enriched himself from the resources and wealth of the country.
