Only thing w/him is that it's not a culture shift; it feels like Toronto sticking w/that core of pretty good players & it remains to be seen if they're ever gonna jump from where they are. But not a bad player or pick at all.
Pierre literally cut Kenny off to try to check DMills about CP3 being one of the best spoon feeders we’ve ever seen and Pierre is wrong. DMills didn’t say CP3 was ONLY a spoon feeder… then when Mike said both can be true (him being a great spoon feeder and floor general) he still disagreed. Bro just forcing arguments at this point. If someone says Curry is one of the best finishers we’ve ever seen… that doesn’t mean he can’t also shoot. DMills didn’t downplay CP3 at all
I honestly think he’s gonna put up numbers similar to Gilbert arenas but less efficient and maybe a tick below in high scoring games cause I don’t think he’s quite as multidimensional as arenas
Other than Wemby(Spurs) and Scoot(PTB) i think that the winners of this draft were the Houston Rockets. Cam at #20 is an absolute steal. Amen, Green, Sengun, Jabari, Eason, Cam, KPJ, if they can get some vets( Lopez, and maybe some veteran guard) in this offseason i think that Udoka can take them to the next level as a team and individually
Facts. The young talent looks good. Sad that a young talent might be cut just cause there isn’t enough minutes to go round. (Possibly Josh Christopher or Kmart JR). But Ime as the head coach should unlock the maturity level for KPJ and Jalen. But let’s see I’m definitely intrigued

OKC did not pass on DBook, its the opposite, reports said OKC wanted Book and he got taken 1 pick before them so they took Cam Payne. Also, OKC is more likely to trade Giddey over JDub imo. Houston's pick is top 4 protected.
Now that Clips dropped the “Not to cut you off” compilation, I can’t help but notice every time P cuts someone off. It’s so bad 😂 Especially when it comes to cutting off Mike lol
I honestly think Gradey Dick is underestimated and will shock a lot of people. "But bAd DeFeNsE!" His defense has issues but isnt that had and i think he has a lot more potential than people give credit for. I think the Big 3 and Thompsons spoiled a lot of people
I believe the key thing in the “can you hoop or not” conversation comes down to how well your game, play style, and production translates to all 30 teams
I wish my Hornets would’ve drafted Scoot. But I think B Miller will be a solid player. The Magic, and the Rockets drafted really well. I can’t wait to see how this rookie class develops.
42:14 I agree P. There was so many rumors about my Cavs sneaking into a 1st round spot. I was begging for them to get Cam around the 17th pick. I’m still very happy with us getting us Emoni Bates tho. Low risk high reward with of us not moving up.
58:19 i have an easy answer for this, if giannis only grows to 6'5, he would know that doing what he does at 6'11 is impossible, so he would inevitably have to add more to his bag or else he's done
Exactly and idk why they don't use the suns drafting Ayton over Luka analogy instead.. that's why you always draft best available and not by fit like the hornets did
A lot of teams think the jordan poole contract is bad but it actually allows the wizards to have the ability to trade for a superstar down the line. The warriors would not be able to sign cp3 with out moving a big contract and if they didn't overpay for poole they wouldn't be able to obtain cp3 without trading wiggins klay or dray
Yeah, they have to spend the money anyway; new CBA doesn't allow a rebuilding team to just sit w/$30M in cap room anymore. He's still young & may blossom into a true star, or at least become an intriguing piece to move down the line.
If you're gonna say somebody was a bad pick, you have to tell us who the better pick was and why. Who should the Raptors have gone for over Gradey at 13? The league revolves around shooting and Dick is the best shooter in the draft. At that range you take a risk on upside or know what you're getting into, and the Raps went for a more conservative pick with the most valuable skill in the league.
i mean you answered your own question. cam whitmore was there for the taking as an upside pick but you went the safe route that’s possibly indicating that the raptors are keeping their current core instead of blowing it up.
You take the upside swing should’ve went with Bufkin, Hood-Schifino or Whitmore. Otherwise you might end up with a blunder like the Pistons taking Luke Kennard immediately before Donovan Mitchell and Bam Adebayo got drafted in 2017 and that’s only one example there are many more
@@bkelly625 And the Raptors felt like Dick has move value than any of them. If you need a shooter, you draft a shooter (note that Dick was also mocked higher on many boards).
KPJ might still be starting ownership and front office loves him and he can play 1-3 he’s 6’4 with 6’9 wingspan ~210lbs. An Amen Green Whitmore/Eason Smith Sengun starting lineup wouldn’t shoot the 3 good enough to be competitive most likely. How many guys in the history of the league at age 22 have put up 19.2ppg 5.3reb 5.7ast 1.4stl on 56.5% true shooting or better? It’s not a whole lot and most became All-Stars not saying he will necessarily but that’s the precedent he just turned 23. Last 30 of 59gms he played 19.8ppg 5.1reb 5.9ast 1.3stl 2.5TO 3three/gm 47/40.9/80.2 shooting splits 60.8% true shooting which is elite and 2.36:1 ast/to ratio while playing more off ball is good. His advanced numbers on both ends were surprisingly solid and they were 18-41(30.5win%) when he played which is bad but 4-19(17.4win%) when he didn’t play which is horrible. I think Udoka will have competition in training camp for who starts among young guys even for next to Harden if he goes there
Kenny, I just want to say that you’ve been my biggest inspiration and I’ve watched ever since I can remember. Ever since they cut the umbilical cord your videos have played in my head… it’s almost like we’re connected by another dimension… in fact, I think I can feel your thoughts and feelings becoming mine. The Magic draft has me excited. I hear ppl bitching about a crowded gaurd room but some of them guys dont belong on the team anyways. And some need to play better to keep their jobs. Cole Anthony is a sparkplug facilitator, hes a screen door on defense. Suggs needs to be healthy to show what he has. They are way more optimistic about Cp3 on the Warriors than I am. He's almost 40, doesn't like to shoot many threes, injured 3 playoffs in a row, doesn't mesh well in a motion offense, is small.
Definitely the correct take most ppl didn’t watch Okc at all this year so whoever 2k says is the better prospect and what they saw in that 1st play in game is what they will go with. Even though J Dub was clearly already better the 2nd half of the season and has incredible physical talent. Tbh I don’t think Thunder would trade J Dub even for Scoot Henderson straight up I think they would hang up immediately. Anything short of a top 15 player under age 30 they won’t even consider trading J Dub
i swear to God P is Funny asf "you have feminine traits, a women has masculine traits...my girl do that sometimes" i think its!? "u think or u know"🤣🤣🤣💀
The thunder didn’t pass on book they were clamoring for him. They took cam Payne one pick later. Unless if there was a trade on the able they passed on that I’m unaware of
Damn this came to the most idiotic section of basketball discourse “Can he hoop?”, KD perpetuates it bc it favors a player like him rather than actually analyzing the nuances of your game and participation in team success with the combination of individual talent/success. Everyone in the NBA can hoop, THEY ARE IN THE NBA.
KD was also inconsistent in the space bc he went against his logic when someone tweeted out supporting him. I didn’t mean to insult a section of the podcast but that argument/discourse is dumber than a decent amount of NBA Twitter (Ball Don’t Stop levels bad) rather than the usual discourse. It is funny tho to talk about it as long as we aren’t talking about it seriously.

Banana in your tailpipe was crazy
