Thierry is one of the only genuinely level headed former player pundits. The rest of them dont seem to understand how football has evolved since their time. Henry's takes are always interesting.

I genuinely think it's just because he wants 2 good players for every position. So when ramsdale comes back in hes on top of his game. The media wants the narrative to be that ramsdale is dropped.
Need competition in every position.. Its that simple. Why should the keeper spot be any different? Thats old outdated thinking. Arteta thinks new and onwards. All credit to him. Lets see how well Ramsdale reacts. Has been stellar so far.
In the end its about the team, club and winning trophies. If a player puts himself above any of this, he is gone. If a player is mad they get dropped from the first team, they should fight and improve to get a spot next time. Ramsdale is a fantastic keeper, and he has a role to play in Arsenal. Wich role, is up to him.

The way they pressed us so aggressively, alongside his calmness and distribution, this was clearly a Raya game.
Titi's 100% right, once you get to the knockout rounds, crazy things could happen. That 05/06 Arsenal team wouldn't have been anyone's choice to make a final, and yet they did.

honestly not really, we fell off in the league, 2 years out from the invincibles - and Henry was captain for the first year and was legit carrying. We absolutely would have won the competition 11 v 11 in the final, Lehman made me cry as a kid. Ref shouldve let the goal stand and keep it 11 v 11. we wouldve come back. Henry also missed chances he'd bury, that team was unreal in europe that year. Lots of teams won the UCL by finishing 3-4th in league, our focus shifted to UCL early that season.
I was hoping so much for Havertz to score last night. That guy needs a goal badly. He was more like we wants him to be, but he needs to gain that confidence. Trossard is an absolute beast at the moment. I think we finally saw Arsenal play like a big team without giving anything to the opponent. It was just a pleasure to watch. COYG!

Tbh, since he's playing as a midfielder instead of a False 9, him scoring is less important than how he affects the game. If he brings a certain energy that raises the team's game, that would be better than him scoring 15 a season

Stop thinking that Ramsdale has been frozen out - he is a world class keeper who has been selected for the England team. Arteta wants the best players for the match he has prepared for. I think it is great that we have 2 amazing keepers who bring different qualities for different situations. Honestly with the addition of Raya i think we now have 2 of the best keepers in the world.
Putting aside that absolute meme of a final sentence. Let's just be very clear that it means very little to be selected for the English national team as a backup GK. Don't confuse the English GK selection dilemma with Brazil's (mainly because there isn't a dilemma to begin with lol).
And to your point, he won't be getting any selections- nevermind caps (of which he only has 4 in the last two years btw) if he's stuck on the bench at Arsenal.
Now I admit that football has evolved and will continue to evolve. But having a rotation in the GK department will never be the norm.
It's an unnecessary financial and emotional risk. Full stop. A cruel move overall.
I wish Ramsdale the best of luck in his future.
Trashdale is not a big club GK. He made mistakes which cost us the title last season. He's not good enough as a sweeper keeper. Raya is strong in every department. Trashdale needs to move on to a smaller club.

We absolutely can but it isn’t that simple, UCL football is unpredictable and we couldn’t win the Europa League.
It’s all about the injuries. Arsenal are ready for everything it’s just the injuries that might harm them. Key players like Saliba, Rice, Ødegaard and Saka are needed. Without them we crumble. They’re all hungry and young.
Trossard able to show how class consistently in a good team just shows how good he is.

I think Arsneal are going to prioritise the UCL this season over the Prem. Just my opinion. I think 2nd in the Prem and a deep UCL run is a very good season.
I don't think we are getting 2nd if we prioritise UCL over prem. If they are equal priorities, then maybe, if we don't have many injuries.
I'm certain that reinforcements will arrive in January. Arsenal won't take chances any longer. Liverpool were nothing in front of arsenal in terms of revenue for the longest - and now they've got arsenal beat on that front. The kroenke's are building dynastic wealth at this stage - especially given that Stan Kroenke is married to a Walton. Let's see where this goes.

Possible but the UCL draw is unpredictable. I think Arsenal will just priorities every competition till the Quarter/Semi final draw. If it is a similar draw to last year where all the big sides are on one side and Arsenal is on the other side with weaker clubs then Arteta might priorities. But no point in focusing solely on a competition that you might be knocked out of in the R16 or Quarters.

You may be right at the fact that we simply have a better team then most clubs but at the end of the day its 11 players vs 11 players.
Even if you have a squad of world class players. If you played the way everton did then obviously scoring goals would be difficult.
To put it simply having the better team does not guerentee a winning result.

Arsenal winning will depend on the January window. If we offload cedric and elneny and then bring in Ivan Toney, any decent right winger and a proper left footed center back, I think we will have amazing depth similar to City.
I think White was awful in 1st half and adapted and improved in 2nd half. Zinchenko looked exposed at times and Bakayoko was too much for him for sure.

It's best to look at it objectively in the fact that both keepers are quality with their talents being unique and abundant.
Both keepers can challenge for the number 1 depending on the game and matchup they are againts.
