I don't seem to have the big 40 amp fuse for the bass amplifier however my Bose system works fine I bought the car like this but I'm concerned on wether or not I should buy that fuse
Hey, so I have a 2016 Mazda 6, so I just changed the battery in it and for some reason my entertainment tab isn’t working, all the other tabs work. Any clue why this one in particular isn’t?
@@DiffuePack3 I took it into the dealership and they said I shorted out the fuse when I tried to jump my previous battery, they fixed it without charge.
Have you noticed if your fuses are energized all the time? I have a mazda 6 gt 2015. And used a multitester to check the fuses and there are always energized even when the car is turn off. Is that common on M6?
Hi, every helpful video. I have a 2014 Mazda 6 iTouring and the battery died and as results, the radio doesn't work and the driver's automatic window function doesn't work either (or sometimes works). DO you think this might be a fuse problem and if yes which one?
My CMU on my 6 (no Bose) shit the bed and just keeps rebooting. I’m not replacing it. Is there a fuse I can pull to kill the infotainment screen so that I don’t gave to watch it keep rebooting? Or will it kill other things
Our 2016 Mazda 6 Infotainment is continuously rebooting. Very annoying, and pisses me off because if started at 99,000 miles while we were on a long trip. I tried to do the Back + Mute + Nav hold for 10 seconds but it doesn't respond to that and just keeps rebooting. So we don't have radio or back up camera or any information other than around the info cluster. Did you resolve your issue? If so, how?
@@hcaldwell4085 nope, system was fried, they wanted 1200 to replace. Reach out to Mazda directly not a dealership and preach your case and complaint. They worked out that they would cover about half of it, which I still declined and recently (nov) traded it in for a 2018 grand Cherokee. Another complaint I had about the 6 was I loved the steering wheel but my hands rubbed through within the first 6 months of owning it. Really pissed me off but mechanically the car was always great no major issues, got up to 150k miles with no problems at all. Just couldn’t deal with half the car being rendered useless
@@nickvargas6222 I'm truly sorry to hear that. We JUST paid it off, AND drove over a 100k while it failed. I might get a boom box to listen to Jimi Hendrix Cross Town Traffic, a piece of cardboard to cover the "infotainment" system, so it doesn't distract me as it continuously reboots, while I drive through the dealer! Only kidding but WTF
@@maryjean9171 I just called the Mazda “corporate” number and continuously expressed my displeasure in how something could fail so soon and how unhappy I was with it.
Hi I have a 2017 mazda 6 sport and I have an issue with the radio where it frequently changes the radio station and starts messing with the sound settings, could the fuses be causing this?
I own a 2017 Mazda6 Touring model and unfortunately my radio has started to do the same thing: changing channels, skipping CD tracks, jumps back & forth between screens, etc . I love this car and this is the first issue I have encountered with it. ** It's most annoying. I am going to try to pull the radio fuses to see if I can "reset" it.
@@johnw9245 Hi, so what I did was a combination of things, i also pulled out the fuses to “reset” the system as well as disconnect the battery for a minute and then reconnect it and turn the car on. If everything worked fine before everything should still work fine after and i say this because i have noticed that every time I disconnect the battery, the auto up and down window function may or may not work for some or all of the windows however after a day or two of driving it always comes back ( I assume it has something to do with the power cut off and then establishing power flow again). The last thing i did was that I also started using a windshield shade cover thing to reflect the sun. I live in south Florida so it gets pretty hot with the average being pretty much anywhere from 80-100 F and thats without mentioning the humidity and something I noticed was that on the really hot days and i mean like 90+ F or days where it felt even hotter than that and the sun was beating down, that’s when I noticed my radio would act up. Now I’m not sure if this is a case of correlation not causation, but once i “reset” the radio by pulling the radio fuses and disconnecting the battery and consistently using a windshield shade cover, I haven’t had this issue as bad as i did when i posted my comment two years ago. Now that being said I have had this issue but very rarely and it’s been nowhere near as frequent or annoying as two years ago to the point where i can’t remember how many times its been because of how uncommon it is now. Another thing you could do is go to your local Mazda dealer and ask what could be done to fix the issue because i recently went to a Mazda dealer because my screen recently got the infamous white blotches where the screen looks damaged but works perfectly fine and they told me that it was a common issue as well as the radio issue we both experienced however since the car has been discontinued, many dealers don’t have parts readily available and even if they could help you, it would most likely be a back order and you’d have to wait a few weeks if not months before the part arrives, not to mention dealer fees and labor costs that would be expensive, hope that helps

My 2014 Mazda 6 Bose back door speakers, back speakers and infotainment center control lit but do not work. Could it be the fuse ?

I'm guessing that the reason why some power may go to the radio constantly is so that it saves your audio settings and radio station preferences.
Super helpful thanks

Not likely, probably an issue with the radio itself.
