Nieuw Amsterdam: Canaletto Food Tour (Holland America)

We sailed on the Holland America Niuew Amsterdam for seven nights in March 2024. During our cruise, we enjoyed a nice dinner at Canaletto, the ship’s specialty dining Italian restaurant. The restaurant was located on Deck 9 Midship, in the forward part of the Lido Market buffet, and served a variety of Italian classics for dinner.

I really liked the old menu- not too impressed with this new one.

We ate at Canaletto on our 2022 cruise. I was not impressed with the food and did not like the ambience. Too bright and feels like you're in the buffet cafeteria. The tables are very squished together too. I felt like we were at the same table as our neighboring table. no personal space. Restaurants do that a lot nowadays to maximize profit but if it ruins the experience they may not return even if the food is good!
