Marty. I Have two Martins....Can I use Old English or Pledge on them? They are shiny not dirty....I just want to make sure they are condition, so they dont become brittle.
I use these products on my guitars and they really make a difference on it especially the fretboard. It feels so much smoother once you put the oil on.
Looks and sounds great man! I love f-1 oil! I use it exclusively on all my fret boards. Although you dont want to over do it. I do it about once every year and a half but each time i do it i use less and less. The most ive used at once is always only the first time i oil and unoiled fretboard. F-1 last a long time. Probably dont even have to use it that much. Especially if you dont play it that much. I play mine alot. Have to be careful not to make your fretboard spungy. The f-1 oil seems to make it easier to move up and down the fretboard when playing. It stays that way for atleast a year or more. I just did my fretboard on a guitar ive had for over 5 years so i may not do it again for a very long time. Rock on!!
I needed an oil but had no idea what to buy, went down to the store and got a random one that seemed nice. Turned out to be F-1, I'm glad people agree it's great haha. Now I gotta go down and get a set of strings and change my guitar up real good.
They’re stuff is great 👍🏻 I don’t use lemon anymore on my fretboard. I use the two waxes . The spray for a quick polish. Try the amp cleaner it will make your amp and cases shine. Not greasy like amoral
Good stuff. I use Old English Lemon Oil from the grocery store. I've been using it for years and it seems to work well... plus it's cheap... I like cheap.
Used their general purpose Guitar Polish on chrome, after a couple of days chromework became tarnished and pitted. Had to replace the parts. I avoid their products like the plague now!
Is it possible for you to do a tutorial on Feelin’ Satisfied by Boston? I can’t seem to find a tutorial on UA-cam that breaks the song down like you would! Keep up the amazing videos!
Hey Marty .. Just to say thank you very much for all your tutorials. Could you please add Rush - Broon's Bane to your list of tutorials. Many thanks in advance.
Sorry this isn’t relevant to this video, but Marty could you please do a lesson on Steve Cropper style rhythm and the rhythm style of Memphis soul/stax records. It would be greatly appreciated! Keep it up man
How often do you change your strings under moderate daily use? I use the same brand as pictured in your video. Coated. I do try others as well. Thanks.
Dear Marty, I am a 7th grader who wishes to participate in my school talent show. Could u plz do a lessen on how to play come alive by Foo Fighters. This is one of my favorite songs and I have always looked up to u for songs. Thanks for all u do
You oil the fretboard and bridge once or twice a year when your are changing strings. Basic cleaning should be done every time since you can really get into the gritty spots. I suppose you could polish every time as well, depends on your guitar finish :)
Sharan Tab what if you realized that the fretboard needed to be oiled but you already put new strings on, can you still put the oil on or will it damage the strings in some way? 😅
There’s a lot of snake oil out there..plenty of crap that does absolutely nothing for your instrument...I’ve even seen ‘tone polish’! I find that Howard’s Feed ‘n Wax is as good as anything...and smells great too.
I'm a little confused about your other channel guitarjamz. At first I thought you were recording both content at the same time but you're younger in that one yet you are consistently uploading videos to it.
Michael McGill don't bother with guitarjamz no more I watched a iron maiden lesson on there, it wasn't Marty it's someone else and the lesson was played incorrectly so
Wish you would show your work. Also wish you would sing the songs you teach. I find myself learning just the basics from you then having to find other people who sing and play to learn further. Don’t mind doing so. Just wish I didn’t have to leave your page to do it.
Karl Thiecke Yep, a friend of mine uses it on his vintage Les Paul custom. I choose to use different products on my Ten Top McCarty 594 and American Strat, but that's just me. But yeah, that is what he's been using for decades!
Thanks for supporting www.MartyMusic.com

Look like a new guitar, good job. Marty, I use lemon oil myself, I use just 1 drop and shine the body 2.
Used their general purpose Guitar Polish on chrome, after a couple of days chromework became tarnished and pitted. Had to replace the parts. I avoid their products like the plague now!

Hey Marty .. Just to say thank you very much for all your tutorials. Could you please add Rush - Broon's Bane to your list of tutorials. Many thanks in advance.
How about for D10-e's? Is it okay to use?
Does this work on matte finishes???
I literally bought the same exact oil and strings
for conditioning the fretboard, does it matter what type of wood you're cleaning? or will that conditioner oil be safe for any fretboard?
Hey Marty, thanks for the tips. Do you use some other product to clean the strings?
Could you please do a Pink Floyd lesson from the Division Bell album? Pretty please.
Hey Marty, what do I do with Maple fretboards if I want to clean them? Can I use an oil of this sort there too?

Does anyone still use "Lemon Pledge"on their guitars anymore?
Karl Thiecke Yep, a friend of mine uses it on his vintage Les Paul custom. I choose to use different products on my Ten Top McCarty 594 and American Strat, but that's just me. But yeah, that is what he's been using for decades!
Bro
Marty you traitor, you are using Elixirs on a Martin and not Martin strings. Elixirs go on your Taylor.
