Thanks for all your videos, tongue-in-cheek and the tutorials alike. I’m listening to all of it, and have come to look forward to your uploads. Yes, you are entertaining. How do you only have ~300 subs with content like this?! This one was simply amazing. Especially when you just keep shaving over the nick another dozen times like a boss. No big deal. Thank you!
Thanks for listening Christopher. I appreciate your kind words and that you enjoy my work. # of subscribers??? Well, I never ask anyone to “subscribe and ring that bell”. From the beginning I always viewed it as MyTube, something I do to entertain myself first. Anyone who is interested will know what to do.
Thanks for watching. Not being a brush collector that is one that had eluded me. Unfortunately I have a family member involved in cat rescues. Having a cat hair brush might not go over too well around here. I was going to use my boar bristle brush but went back and saw that Slash was using a badger, so I complied to the pattern.
There you go, you should get some “Bill M” signature popsicle sticks. A good idea would be to sell them in favors. You could eat your popsicle then have a relaxing shave. You should start selling these custom flavored shavettes along with your honing service. You’re welcome in advance. I’ll take mine in lime with Perma-Sharp filling.
Uh…I don’t think I ever bled that much with my Tedalus…Then again, this is the first time I cut myself doing this stunt shave. I did it once with bacon grease…yeah it was nasty. Thanks for tuning in. 😀
Went over to the video to watch Slash McCoy video…he really did eat the popsicle first! Lol😊 Thanks Bill, by the way I consider any shave where I don’t need stitches to be a win…Cheers MikeR.
Stitches are sooo passé … super glue is the new thing. One of my mentors always said “chicks dig scars”. After a shaving cut ONE TIME, I made the mistake of saying that too my wife… her instant response was “WHAT CHICKS” 😎
Nice stunt shave Bill. Slash left B&B because one of his side kick was banned. He even added a post where he said he didn't want to be part of a forum that could ban someone like him who had contributed so much to the shaving "community". His post was deleted by a moderator.
Thanks for listening in John, hope the weather warming a bit in that part of the world. If you did not catch the little note at the bottom of the title page on my hone shaping vid, take a look. I can’t recall if I gave you credit for the inspiration to use a flexible plate on a sink bridge, if I missed that, my apologies. I was hoping to lure Slash in for a comment. It would be my guess is that his friend refused to abandon his belief that one should be able to enjoy open bladed shaving within their own investment strategy and learn to sharpen those tools to his own satisfaction with the same frugality. Or…He addressed The Admiral, Who LUVSMYSUPER as Mr. Moderator …Or maybe Joe El Badger gave orders for a ‘hit’ to one of the other cowardly Moderatorettas for not ponying up as a Contributor Take care my friend, thanks for your support.
They banned Slash McCoy?...Dude! His Balsa method got me sharp and back into straight shaving again after a 20 year hiatus. This place of "authorive malicious know it all's holier than thou non experimental pompous egocentric @$$holes" has really exploded everything. Especially what they have done with Jarrod. Keith Johnson was right about all of them too.
If one rates straight shave videos by volume of blood shed, this is the top of my list. I have 2 accounts on the disappearance of Slash. I tagged him in hoping for the straight scoop. Enjoy your week Joe.
I should sell all my stones and straight razors and make myself some of these kamisoris. Martin made a video honing some replaceable blades and now you make this video haha
Keep your straights and stones for the nostalgia and fun. Drop back to a shavette if you need to break a vicious cyclic straight razor and stone purchasing binge. Only use a popsicle stick or tongue depressor razor if you are trying to impress your friends or you are DEAD BROKE. Thanks for watching and have a great week Sean.
I used to enjoy B&B until a few years ago, but now it's almost impossible to write a comment anywhere and not get attacked by any of the mods, especially the ''admiral'' as you call it. As soon as a debate is started between two or more people even if it's respectful, a mod appears and warns everyone to stop what they are doing. I think at this point the whole reason B&B exists is to make money out of the vendors and contributions as well as from the ads that have plagued the whole website. I do keep an eye from time to time on some of the topics, but I don't comment anymore. It's just not worth wasting my time some of those edgy and immature mods, who act like 12 years old kids who were given administrative rights in an online video game and are banning people just because they can.

That looks like a badger bristle shaving brush. Stray cat hair might make an inexpensive alternative ;D

@@billm.2677 In any case, badger brushes can be found for cheap at thrift stores etc. Good on you, and your relative who helps the cats out.
You sir, are a brave man !!!! Nicely done. Have a great day and smooth shaves
Thanks Gene. I have done this a few times. I think I got a bit over confident this time. 🩸

I think that cut on my chin ruined some of my big business plans. Bad advertising. 😎
Omg I just wasted all that money on a tedalus shavette…. I wish you had showed this video first!!! lmao 🤣 😂

What is a video without some blood, eh Bill. I am surprised that Slash was booted from B & B. He is one of my honing heroes. Have a great week.

Thanks for tuning in. I think I could find thousands who feel exactly the same.
