I definitely want to see more. Synergies in this game end up getting absolutely crazy with all the upgrades. I'm very excited to see you play this when things start getting nutty.
Would love to see more of this. It's tactical, but in a shorter scope than XCOM. What a perfect pairing for us who love to watch you play tactics games
I still play metal slug on arcade machines in bars when I can find it, core memory of playing it when I used to go over to a friend's who had a ps2. I love they kept the style.
Weird to mention here but gears tactics still remains one of my most favourite turn based games. Have been watching your videos since the first xcom 2 playthtrough and your second playthrough of the game (war of the chosen) and gears tactics are my most favourite
Yes! This game is awesome. I only played the demo and I beat that twice its pretty fun. It breaks you out of the XCOM shell by forcing you to move around and get creative. Would love to see this series move forward.
Just wanted to say i love your xcom content, I use to watch you alot when I was younger, I recently just got a pc because I'm older and can finally afford it lol and I started modding xcom 2, I haven't slept in over 24 hours😂😭 I finally got an entire halo conversion mod pack with alot of QoL improvements to work with Long War Of The Chosen, with over 230 mods to make it really feel like you're playing a halo wars turn based tactic game, there was already pre-made CPs for the Marines and Spartans and ODST(thank the lord) I'm making Elites along with the Halo 3 Arbiter, and a couple other Characters from Mass Effect and 39 other classes to choose from, I'm probably gonna get some sleep here soon and get back to work on it, it'll probably take me another day or so to finish more characters, but I'd love to see you play it when I'm finished!!!❤
Oh metal slug gives me such heavy nostalgia, when I saw this on steam I knew I had to have it. Plus, I love Xcom and Into the Breach, so this seems right up my alley.
Had no idea this game was already out until I saw your video pop up in my feed! Thought it was going to be a December release. Needless to say, I know exactly how I'll be spending my evening now LOL
I love watching you figuring things out. I would enjoy a series of this. Also can we have a one-off Warpips revisit? Mostly just to hear you getting involved in the soundtrack again, but the game was ace as well.
Metal Slug was a 2D side scroller. (Not sure if it was on PC) but I played Metal Slug 2 on PlayStation in the early 2000s The graphics of this game are the same as the 2D scroller I played. It was a blast playing that game. This looks just as fun. (although slower cause of the tactics turns)
Consider playing Elder Sign: Omens. It's Cthulu Doom Yatzee, but with, I think, an Xcom vibe, in that you have 4 crack investigators, elements of chance and hedging against risk, items and monsters, and a doom clock.
Sync was 'once per action' each troop gets 1 action, so synch can be used up to X number where x is how many troops are present and able to line up for said sync attack. Would be my best guess on how that works.
Metal Slug is originally a side scrolling shooter with exceptional pixel art and animation made by SNK. The series is very loved by the fans specially in the south american region. A tactics Metal Slug game is certainly an interesting take on the series. Excited for this.
Mate, just do yourself a favour and emulate all the Metal Slug games if you can. The one I enjoyed the most was Metal Slug X on PS1. I poured so much of my early teens into that game 🤣
I was already hard for this game, but it took on a different connotation when I noticed the similarities in art to 1 illustrator; norasuke? For those who know the deepest and dirtiest Cuts look it up
If you like tactical rogue-lites I highly recommend it. There are I believe...9 playable characters so with all the variability of team comps and different builds things start to get crazy and super fun. It offers some of the most satisfying moments I've had with a tactics game. If you enjoy optimizing every turn like a puzzle then I think you'll have a lot of fun with this one and in my opinion it's definitely worth the full price. It's worth mentioning that I've noticed a bunch of bugs which is just par for the course with tactics games but still worth mentioning. Only had it crash once on day 1 though.
Game seems promising. Love the artstyle and overall gamestyle, though certain aspects annoy me as a tactical game fan. Like why doesn't cover actually take into account direction. That is definitely a big L. Ironically as well, well the artstyle is pretty good, the sound design seems subpar. Fairly unremarkable sounds and reused often.
Dropping the crane did 1996 damage to the enemy soldiers. Fun fact: Metal Slug was first released in 1996!
I was going to say, that seemed like a very specific number! Good catch
K I love it already
I wondered if it was something like that.
I definitely want to see more. Synergies in this game end up getting absolutely crazy with all the upgrades. I'm very excited to see you play this when things start getting nutty.
Looks fantastic. Would love to see more.
I remember spending tons of time and money playing Metal Slug coop in the Arcade during the 90s.
I keep hoping for a Tactical Breach Wizards playthrough, seems like it would be right up your street, surprised you've not given it a shot yet!
You know? I kinda missed the launch window on that, but I'll keep it in mind the next time I have a lull in games to play!
Wow! Core memory unlocked of my childhood in the arcades
Please play more of this Odd!
This game looks fun ! Rewards aggression.
Would love to see more of this. It's tactical, but in a shorter scope than XCOM. What a perfect pairing for us who love to watch you play tactics games
The nostalgia.....HEAVY MACHINGUN
I still play metal slug on arcade machines in bars when I can find it, core memory of playing it when I used to go over to a friend's who had a ps2. I love they kept the style.
The nostalgia is real. I played the OG as a kid.
OH DAMN LETS GO ODD. I've been loving this one quite a bit.
Here's to a full series 🍻 Mr odd!
im super happy for this to finally release and even more so that youre playing it!!!!
Weird to mention here but gears tactics still remains one of my most favourite turn based games. Have been watching your videos since the first xcom 2 playthtrough and your second playthrough of the game (war of the chosen) and gears tactics are my most favourite
Gears Tactics was dope!
I hope this can be a full series!
Metal Slug + Tactics = win
Yes! This game is awesome. I only played the demo and I beat that twice its pretty fun. It breaks you out of the XCOM shell by forcing you to move around and get creative. Would love to see this series move forward.
Yes! this is so cool! love the retro arcade vibe and hope you will play more Odd.
NICEEEEE I didn't expected you to play this, good choice!
Definitely keep this one up! Looking forward to the next one!
Yes. Yes I like this. I actually started playing it today as well. Loving the game so far and I’d love to see a play through
Well that was cool. Would be down to watching you play more of this.
Really enjoyed the demo for this when I played it, glad to see you checking it out!
Oh metal slug gives me such heavy nostalgia, when I saw this on steam I knew I had to have it. Plus, I love Xcom and Into the Breach, so this seems right up my alley.
Yes, I was also reminded of warpips.
Will go and listen to that one song again.
This does look fun! I might have to pick this up on PSN. Love the 80's arcade vibe and sprites here
Fun game been looking forward to this release since early this year. Love to see that your enjoying it, hopefully you'll play some more.
This looks sick, thanks for teaching us about it!
Oh, this looks cool as all hell. I've had it on my wishlist, I'm getting it for sure.
the "idle" animations are really over the top!
Used to love metal slug growing up
I played this during a NextFest and loved this game. I'm excited to snag the full game and unlock all those sweet upgrades.
Had no idea this game was already out until I saw your video pop up in my feed! Thought it was going to be a December release. Needless to say, I know exactly how I'll be spending my evening now LOL
This game looks absolutely amazing
I love watching you figuring things out. I would enjoy a series of this.
Also can we have a one-off Warpips revisit? Mostly just to hear you getting involved in the soundtrack again, but the game was ace as well.
"Garbage Island?" Did Tony Hinchcliffe work on this game?
Hope this game has good difficulty and variety
It has been a hot minute since i played metal slug. Good memories then, Good memories seeing it now!

Bro, I grew up playing this at an arcade machine in a pizza place by my house.
Ohhhhh!!! I thought this game might show up on your radar.
This reminds me of Into the breach, in a different setting, with the game basically being a giant puzzle to solve
No necessarily my type of game, but, I'm ready to rock it w ODD!
Consider playing Elder Sign: Omens. It's Cthulu Doom Yatzee, but with, I think, an Xcom vibe, in that you have 4 crack investigators, elements of chance and hedging against risk, items and monsters, and a doom clock.
More of this please!
Yeah this game is super cool. Would love to see more. I lost hard against the boss in the demo.
loving this!
It looked like Marco had two passives, and I think they work together.
metal slug is nostalgia
WE need more!!!!!!

Thought you might do the veilguard at some point. 😂
This reminds me a lot of Into the Breach

Metal Slug is pretty much Xcom when you get deep into it...aliens

I was already hard for this game, but it took on a different connotation when I noticed the similarities in art to 1 illustrator; norasuke?
For those who know the deepest and dirtiest Cuts look it up
This looks fun, will there be more?
yesss!
Yes, moar please!
Отличное видео, спасибо. Теперь понятно, что играть в это я не буду.
1996 lol good easter egg
Fonts are all over the place, it's drivin me nuts. I often need to sit in the edge if my couch to be to read anything. I hope they change this soon.
I honestly thought this was Advanced Wars
Soursop plant has anti-cancer properties btw.
Thx :)
Is it a buy or wait for sale?
