The bomb program is extremely OP against a overwhelmingly large group of machines . I would use blade for a large group of flying machines. Mirage is really nice too for some quick damage
Whenever I use Mirage I can't help but think of Vergil's Judgement Cut End. It makes me wonder how there isn't a Vergil mod for this game with how Blade is basically Spiraling Swords and the dual wielding of 2B and A2 would be good for making it like Vergil's packing Force edge and Beowulf instead of just Yamato.
Late to the comment chain, but some of them are actually magical (utilize maso). You can tell by the Angelic script that appears when a flash of white light occurs like 2B's dodge. That's the main reason why I came to watch this video, to see how much magic still existed up to this point in NieR.
The wire is a program that launches you to the enemy you target. the charged versions just increase the length of the wire so you can catch up to an enemy that is farther away.
Should note that lv. 2 on the laser pod temporarily gives you an extra song laser (the laser fires like water from a hose) so tapping the fire key with laser also exponentially increases damage just like with gattling.
Me on my 1st playthrough: Mirage, Bomb, and Volt are all OP I'll never use anything else. Me on my 10th Playthrough: Slow, Wire, and Missle are the best dont @ me

@@RogerNbr slow wire and missle are not particularly good at all, but those 3 allow for some really awesome combos. It's a joke about how if you beat a game that many times you stop worrying about min/max and start having fun with everything you've perfected.

There's one pod attack you've missed. It's easiest to see if you have overclock installed. Perfect evade a melee attack then while you're evading/just after tap the fire key. You should grab the pod and use it as a cannon for a single shot. Does quite a bit of damage too. Only performable immediately after the evade though, but it is useful. Also with wave, if you have some fast cooldown, you can spam level 1 waves constantly by swapping out each pod.
I feel that decoy doesn't last long enough to matter considering how fast you already are and should be overwhelmingly better. Same for repair as the self heal chips and death heal chips get super good. Volt and spears as well. Missle can just be replased with the whip if you want to go in. I think some needs to just be straight OP to be used at all.

Okasih For the Slow program, during Route B talk to 21O in the Bunker to get Data Analysis Freak. Beat it, warp to the Resistance Camp and leave the camp and you will get Data Analysis Freak 2. Beat it and you get the Slow Pod Program. Idk about the others haha
For Wave Program, you have to complete the Wandering Couple side quest, but before starting the Missile Supply main quest. You can obtain it in Route A.
sorry for the noob question, just bought the game, but how are you able to use more than 1 pod at a time? I have 2 at the moment but I'm only able to use 1 at a time?
It took me an hour of fishing to find Pod B but I kept at it because I overheard an Operator in the bunker say that a pod got lost at sea in the Flooded City. Another convo on the bunker already lead me to Pod C in the desert so I knew I was on the right track. RNG just fucks people sometimes. Most people fish out that pod within a few attempts
To unlock the feature of charging up pod programs to level 3 You need to find the laser and missle pods. (I feel so lucky, i found the laser pod by fishing on the first try) For every new pod you find, you can charge up your pod program 1 extra level by holding the pod program button until another pod shows up.
I some how managed to perform a strange combo twice idk how i did it need help.. After successfully evading i think my 2b just started wind slashing enemies by that i mean she started firing projectiles in the direction i aim..
IIRC those two are found on YoRHa corpses in route C. Seems like you already found Volt, which was on a corpse in the Amusement Park in the middle of the area with the tank. I only mention it here for posterity. Decoy is back at the very beginning in the factory. Shortly after the bridge you had to shoot down on a storage crate. Missile is back at the other beginning on top of the building where you landed after you left the bunker for the first time. May have gotten the programs mixed up, but the locations should be sound.

The pod skills can be charged with the other pods, but doing so puts the other pods on cooldown as well.

The missile pod was a godsend when grinding for levels on the Adam/Eve sand pit lol. Just hold R1 and the machines just spawn and die.
set your game to easy, equip all auto chips, and leave the game. the AI will do the farming and grinding for you
