Great video! Beautiful footage and editing :D The slow motion is actually really good. And for UA-cam and other medias it don't need to be more than 1080p. Making some drone videos in Norway myself if you need some inspiration :)
Thanks for the comment. Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by the quality too! As you mentioned for social media it's good enough. I'll be sure to check out your content, I always appreciate what other content creators are making. Happy flying :)
I have test 240 slomo and it look like a very bad quality for me in a 27 inch 2010 mac pro screen. It does not feel like 1080p. I guess is my feeling for comparing it with 4k footage from the drone some seconds ago?
I have to kinda agree, it looks below par for a good 1080p image, like maybe upscaled slightly from a lower res. Even my GH4 did this in their slow Mo mode. I think ultimately it's usable occasionally for impact, but not as a primary shooting mode.
@@danielchamorro76 I think you're right. You can still go slow enough with a bit of post manipulation, and the quality is streets ahead in 4k60p. Plus you can zoom in for an added dynamic. I still think this slow mo feature is useful though, especially if you plan on using a stylised grade or some such, just not for every shot :) Thanks for commenting
@@JoeFourMan c'mon it looks spectacular what your presenting above. still cant grasp its Air2 footage. but 240fps1080p not to shabby when all is said and done from that sensor where you only relying on natural lightning on a cloudy day.. a shame they have seem to cut the others like Air2S at 120fps1080p but also the HDR was sadly also not ported.. been quite impressed with its ablelity to balance high and lows and not choking either.. even at sunsets, handling the suns body without choking the front.. The Air2 was definitely one hell of a drone, that got its launch eaten by Air2S, but its something like 790 USD with flymore, and Air2S is 1300 with flymore... quite a difference
Great video... Do you have to do this in post??? Playback on the drone looks great but when I down load it.. Its at normal speed.. Thank you in advance
Hmm when I playback the files on my mac they play in the slow mode. In this video I sped up the footage in post to represent normal speed, then keyframed it slow back down.
I edit with Premiere Pro. I can play the files back straight off the drone using QuickTime player. If that doesn't work, I suggest VLC player. Hope that helps.
Thanks mate. It's a Backfire Ranger X1 deck swapped to Landyachtz. I love the thing. Silent motors, decent range for exploring new areas, all terrain capable, big fan.
The video is played back in slow motion straight out of the drone. You can edit the footage to speed it back up to "normal" speed in Premeire, Final Cut etc.
The footage is slowed down straight off the sd card, you do need to manipulate it in post to speed it up, ramp it, or frame interpolate it, as per the second half of the video.

Thanks for the visit
Wow!
Nice work my friend 😎👍
Keep it up and stay safe 😷🤟🏻

Quick question Joseph. When using 240FPS mode, do you have manual conrol over the shutter speed? Can it be adjusted to 1/1000th or higher?
-Jason
Hey mate, I just checked and yes you have manual control of the shutter in Slow Motion modes, up to 1/8000th .
@@JoeFourMan Thank you for checking! Gonna make the purchase. Very helpful :)

@@JoeFourMan Maybe is better to keep 4k 60p. Less slow but more quality

does the drone itself do slow motion or use the program to edit the video of the drone?

good video there ..... he’s certainly no Kung Fu master however ..... lol .... only joking .... i just wanted to see what 240 fps looked like 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Haha.... Ha... Ha.. Haaa yaaaaaaa! Thanks for watching ;)
Hello I’m finding my slow motion videos very grainy with the MA2 is that normal ?
You'll need to film in bright daylight for best results. Even then the quality is good, not amazing.
This is usable. Far from the original Mavic Pro and its 60fps mess.
Definately usable. It's not amazing quality but a handy tool to have in the bag of tricks :)
