If your Chevy tailgate latch quit working, here’s a cheap Fix you may want to try!

I have always tried to repair things myself if I could. I might not always use conventional methods but I try to use things that I have on hand to fix stuff. Today is one of those days where I attempt to fix a tail gate latch on a pick-up truck using zip ties.

I’ve fixed a many of things with a zip tie Bill. I once reattached an accelerator cable to a carburetor on my old MontI Carlo. Worked perfectly. God bless Bill.

Great DIY video. Brings back a lot of memories. Growing up, most of my stuff was either wired together or taped together. Heck I can’t imagine how I’ve spent in Duct Tape

You can dice most anything with duct tape, dog collars, hay string, and zip ties😂

Great DIY repair Bill. I do many repairs on my stuff to save money. Everything costs so much these days. I'm A packrat so I can usually find something in my garage to repair most things

alternator bracket broke on an inboard 350 on a 26 foot skipjack 20 miles off shore ...lashed it to thermostat housing w big ol zipties ...made it back to the slip. didnt spit the belt on the way in either ...( yes they were BIG zipties that held the fishbag on the stern )😉

Zip ties are modern day baling wire. I’ll guarantee you there’s some in my boat, my truck, my Jeep, my garage and I’ll bet money there’s some in my kitchen junk drawer.
