Cheers! Had 71 people hungry with winter approaching, farming was doing my head in. Now i have 3k carrots and unlimited funds 😅
When he showed the 4000+ vegetables and 4000+ apples 😂
It might help your distribution if you place a couple smaller "Local" markets that can cover the far corners of your housing area.
Thanks. In my previous world my villagers overthrew me because I wasn't producing enough food. Hopefully this will make them happier
well that confirmed my suspicion when my large farms just weren't pumping out enough bread.
Also, in what world do backyard chicken coops and goat pens NOT produce at least SOME meat? I was shocked when I realized that.
Yeah they skin the goats and toss the meat in the trash lol?
If this was AAA game, I would've blamed the dev for overlooking that one. Well, I wouldn't have bought the game in the first place.
When I started, I thought they gonna produce some meat in a couple of months with the goats and chickens, nah. All my meat came from hunting.
@@TacticatGaming I assume the families just eat it... these medieval animals probably have little meat compared to modern ones
@@mortache good point - either way - ONLY EXCESS PRODUCTION of a burgage will be moved to the granary - so as long as they eat the goat and chicken meat - what they should do, instead of taking some meat from the granary or buy it in stalls, the resource will never show up on the market/granary is my guess. So for easier and less load intensie calculation, he just removed the fact that chicken and goats produce any meat :)
atleast i would do it, being lazy on minor stuff that can be fixed later is fine as a dev. and since he is alone (afaik) - manor lords is great!
@@D-OveRMinD I agree to that. I am runing over with Yarn because 30 sheeps easily produce insane amounts of wool, but no meat.
I actually always use veg and apples for food before reaching year two or three to actually farm!!! Food was never problem, markets do really need a rework !!!!
I really like apple orchards, but they are bugged I think. They dont get moved to the markets and just stack up in the houses no mater how many apples I still have in total they just wont eat them.
Have you concidered posting this in the dsicord feedback section? Maybe Greg sees it!
bruh i have -1 food im so dead im not joking about the -1 it says -1
I have a guide coming out soon that will blow your mind - i got this down to a good degree now
Hmm I just had an interesting thing where I had carrot and chicken farms for all my level one houses but the second I got them too level two I suddenly had two hundred carrots and fifty eggs in one day😂😂😂
I had a weird like 2k carrot glitch once
Do you have to do anything specifically to get then to put apples in the market?
I was watching the stream yesterday and have tried changing a granary house to apples only, but they won't go collect them or put them in the market, so I have lots of apples in the houses, but they don't ever get used.
the problem is you're producing more apples than your granaries can process - so instead of putting things in the market they are just over collecting apples - so you can do two things - destroy a few apple orchards or create 2-3 granaries and staff them all to deal with the production over supply
this is how i fixed it for myself
@TacticatGaming I'm not though. I only have 300 apples right now,,they just won't get a single one. The granary workers just say waiting when there apples to be collected.
Ok so I just ran into this issue reloading the exact save file before I fixed it - and I’m 100% sure it’s a bug. I could not fix my markets again doing everything identical. What I said above is the correct way to fix it - but there seems to be an issue with goods not being delivered to markets -
Try importing just a little bit of that food item in your trade. Or destroy all your granaries and rebuild them. I’m starting a whole new game because it just wouldn’t correct itself
@@TacticatGaming thanks! I started a new game, and while they still aren't going into the granaries, most of them are still making it into the market.
For carrots/veggies at the back of the house; does it have to be on fertile ground? Or is that more specific to that specific farming crop when you look at the layers of fertility in the UI?
I don't think veggies considers the fertility of the land.
I haven’t noticed any yields changing based on fertility
Why can't I buy anything from Trading Post, I click buy and I was deducted but the carriages just go to the trading point and then go back, they don't bring any items back
Do you have people in the trade post to move items?
i wonder if the size and having dual family plots increase the output of vegetable. I have 3 very big plots, dual families and they seem to only to be able take care of 2/3 of the ground provided for veggies. in Orcharts for apples its even less. 1 Morgen of land for a plot, means 2/3 Veggies, and 1/2 for apples. they wont plant more apple trees and ware not able to plow and sow in one 4-year season.
-> but i will test it a bit more, if dual plots do change the yields, it should definetly show.
My city is in the ALL fertile land, so i can only compare the yields on that part :)
I’m working on the perfect sizing
So I tested with another region and - veggies do not grow on unfertile land. And 2 family plots do not increase the yield but plowing can be faster - so you can use bigger plots but I would assume that half a morgen of Land is doable for a two family plot.
how do u keep the fuel up too on a city this big?
Charcoal
What's the third type then? For when you have level 3 houses
Chicken eggs + import chicken eggs minimum = to home plots is how you can do it. They needed chickens hard and that’s my glue fix for now - I’m working on the practicality if that vs wheat farming
Does this mean you need to have a manor early to do taxes?
You need the manor for taxes
how i get my peasants to pick up the vegetables ? i made the farms, and i see them grow , but still 0 being produced since they won't harvest it.
build a granary and stock it with one person
@@TacticatGaming i have 2 granarys with 6 people on both and they still dont pick it up how do i get them to pick it up
