It’s time to seriously build around him along with Joel. He proved he can take over games with force, shooting and speed. Us Philly fans were not expecting him to get this good and this fast
What do you mean we have just seriously built around Maxey and Embiid. We have just completely retooled the roster in one that is honestly more geared for Maxey than Embiid truth be told with all the speed and shooting we now have.
Maxey has such a unique playstyle, he reminds me so much of a minimalistic less skilled but more athletic Kyrie that seems to love playing defense when it matters
People still aren’t remotely close to understanding who this kid actually is. It’s not about the skill set, it’s about who he is at his core. And oh yea, the skill set is far from peaking at this point
And the people that do understand, only understand we don't understand lol bc we've realized no one knows what this kids ceiling is, we're just gonna shut up while enjoy finding out
Admittedly, I'm a Sixers fan, but I absolutely love this kid. A great player, and possibly a better person who plays with joy and is humble off the court. He has great range as a shooter, as quick as any NBA player, and with amazing body control. And to be honest, he does not ...for whatever reason...get many calls from the refs. For my $, one of the 3-5 most exciting players in the league.
What is really understated about Maxey is just how good he is at finishing like the only other guard who is as adept at finishing around the rim like that is Kyrie.
@Byronic19134 And I hope he starts getting more calls around the basket. He's a good finisher, but also gets hacked a lot -- without drawing foul calls.
It's really a killer combo being deadly from that far out, but you get out of balance trying to defend that and he's cooked past you and has just as killer finishing package at the rim. It honestly takes 2 to 3 players making defensive plays to have a chance at stopping him from scoring.. 1 on 1 he's almost a lock to cook you from somewhere. You just hope you have teammates behind in good position to help or he's going for 50 on your ass.
Embiid dropped a 52 piece and a 40 piece on you guys last year and for his career Embiid averages 28, 12, n 4 vs the Celtics so you need to sit down until you can find somebody to guard him. But don’t feel singled out because Embiid is actually averaging more points per possession than anybody in the history of the NBA, yes that is correct Embiid is scoring at a level of ease that not even Wilt is able to match. The irony how Wilt back then was the best player in the league, but you Celtics always have to have a super team to beat us when we got the guy.
@@Byronic19134 and he still can’t get it done just like Wilt. Embiid may be a better regular season player, but Maxey is a more consistent and clutch playoff performer. If I had to pick one to win me a chip I’d pick Tyrese.
His first step was always gonna get him 18 ppg but the range and moves he's put into his bag has turned him into a superstar and i think being next to james harden had alot to do with that
It looks that way but it’s really Tatum fault because he was supposed to stay at the foul line to keep the floor spaced and would have had a wide open shot instead he just lolligags into the lane.
Me: oh man this kid is great! Nice to see young players getting some shine this season. *sees Time Lord on the Celtics* *sees Harden on Philly* Me: HES BEEN THIS GOOD FOR *HOW LONG???*
People really haven't been paying attention...Some people wanted to complain about him winning MIP this season, when he should have actually won it the year before anyway. He has been Embiid's most consistent teammate for YEARS. He is the lynchpin for what this team can be going forward, because his unselfishness makes everything work, on and off the court.
Embiid is an all time great. Career leader in points per minute. an awesome 2 way player, who is only limited by freak injuries. Maxey is a physically gifted sponge with Kobe's work ethic. Adding Paul George to that combo, on paper, should produce something never really seen before.
He’s the real closer on the 76ers. Embiid is overrated, lazy and injury prone a regular season legend who has never been the same player in the playoffs on top of that he’s a bad teammate who takes games off defensively, ducks the toughest opponents on the road. His selfishness is on full display as he’s playing in the Olympics when he should be resting due to him being injured during the playoffs. Embiid is good enough to win 50-55 games every year and lose in the conference semifinals but that’s it.
this playoff narrative actually needs to stop bro look at his numbers lmao yes he does get injured but even injured he's a big piece to any team gang didn't he just average 33? Stop with the hate lol Maxey needs Joel gang and Joel needs Maxey, the actual best duo in the league
That's a lazy narrative that should be put to bed. You all watched what happened against the Knicks. Hurt, he still averages over 30 points. Other than Maxey, he was getting games with zero in the box score from other starters. Players recognize what he is on offense and defense. Fans and some media for whatever reason don't. That's why he's your favorite player's favorite player. By the time the playoffs roll around, he's generally injured, but playing through it, and hadn't generally had the teammates that could consistently step up when he's taking all the defense's focus.
So tuff maxey is a elite scorer and elite buckets yessir ❤️
It’s time to seriously build around him along with Joel. He proved he can take over games with force, shooting and speed. Us Philly fans were not expecting him to get this good and this fast
Its crazy bro. He improves so much every year. After all the crap we dealt with it’s amazing we got Maxey.
What do you mean we have just seriously built around Maxey and Embiid. We have just completely retooled the roster in one that is honestly more geared for Maxey than Embiid truth be told with all the speed and shooting we now have.

You can tell James Harden really rubbed off on him. He shows flashes of Hardens moves.
Flashes? Harden literally modified himself in 2K and came up with Maxey.

Tyrese Maxey PROFESSIONAL SCORER 💯
He's going to be trouble.. He is: What if Chef Curry and Dame Time had a baby?

Max X Maxey.
This highlight reel got him that new contract. Team USA needs to start talking to him about the 27 World Cup .
Paul george with embiid and this kid maxey. Good luck nba
Yesirrrrrr 🔥
If that new contract finally gets him a whistle, he’s gonna be in the MVP convo for years to come.
Harden didn't get the Sixers a title, but the influence can be seen.
Wait till he starts getting the whistle on a nightly basis consistently 😮💨

Currently averaging 32.4 ppg in these playoffs that’s 2nd place behind Jalen Brunson not even embiids 50 ball was enough to put him in 2nd place

The best player in the league
As a die hard Sixers fan I would like to tell you to relax a little. Maxey can’t be the best player because Embiid is in the league.
Ben Gordon remix with a green light.

0:12 awesome shot but it was a travel and never should’ve counted. He accidentally pick up and put down pivot right before shot.
