I was 10 and remember this like it was yesterday. Thought it was so cool when McCoist went top stanch with the penalty - thoughy he had hit the post at 1st. Souness nearly brought the house down in the 1st half with that shot. I loved it when souness was fully fit - seemed really tall - athletic - always had time. That was his best playing season for us. This game and the new years day game v celtic and aberdeen at home when he scored. Great times - excellent defence- souness as a CdM with durrant cooper and ferguson in front with ally and fleck up front. Wood was excellent - Butch and Roberts at CB and Munro and big slim at RB. What a day and what a season.

i remember this day well i was 14yrs of age and was at this game and i spot myself after the 3rd goal when the camera pans the crowd im wearing a black t-shirt and i have my scarf above my head at 16.45 im just on the left of the picture at the back

Was at this game as an 8 year old in the front row behind the net in the Copland road stand. Great memories
