I agree with the point that Navamsa is based on past karma... when my dad approached an astrologer for my marriage consultation, many years back... He informed that there's marriage denial in my chart bcz I was responsible for break up between a couple, in my last birth..

A question on past life - Why do the theories on past life experiences mostly lean towards the assumption that one was bad or perpetrated bad deeds hence bad things are happening to them in this life time? Could there be a possibility that one may not always have been the perpetrator but the victim of negative circumstances and the pain being experienced in this lifetime is cell memory from a past life trauma where one was the victim?
Yes, especially if you are meant to identify and heal that trauma in this lifetime. It builds up to a level you can no longer overlook or ignore it. Therefore you are forced to seek healing. This is my journey.
If you have always done good things and lead a good life in the past, why would you suffer in this current life? At least to an extent to find out about occult and past life experiences. In the case of a victim, I do believe trauma could have been trapped inside the soul. It might also be a karma to heal your trauma in this present life 🤷♀️

My D9 ascendant is also in the 8th house of my natal. For me, transformations were intense and balancing (although during it, it seemed hard). I say transformations because it is a series of transformations, especially if you have a Capricorn, Aquarius, Aries or Scorpio ascendant (Mars and Saturn)
