Anyone else remember Amy_Leigh as Carmen from TheDumpingGround?
I know this is at the back of everyone’s mind, I feel like everyone knows Amy for her part in the dumping ground, just like Dani Harmer’s situation with the character Tracey beaker. I’m so glad everyone’s excepted Amy is older and how the fans still support Amy in which ever role she plays as she builds up her career
Char Pickering Well said I’m very satisfied with her progress I’m glad that the show opened doors for her and that it spoke on a lot of important and relevant issues.
Sounds so weird Listening to them without the accent
Not if you watched Tracy beaker returns or the dumping ground
especially for me because i’m from the same area as ackley bridge
She’s London through and through out

The show is not representative to the real life Asian community AT ALL. On the show they portray brown parents as very lenient and brown kids as openly brave and deviant when if this situation was to happen in real life, you’d get disowned or even honour killed. Idk where they got their ideas from but the show most definitely did not do their research on the Bradford/Leeds Asian population.
Dark A that’s the thing, you lot think times have changed and everything has become very different, especially seen from your ethnocentric white POV but you don’t know what goes inside the household, some ARE parents more modern than others, which is good, while others still heavily instilled with traditional ideology and carrying on what former parents have taught them and really pressuring their children into following the norms. I just think they did a really poor job with the characters in this show tbh, you would never come across a “Nas’s mum in real life bc they’re just not like that and Sadiq who they’ve portrayed as overly modern, allowing his kids to sexually do what they want, ignoring the extent to which religion comes into play, which is major in these societies.
r008x who said you would get disowned or killed?
You man have peak families then, hopefully they love you fully
Completely untrue! I'm bisexual came out to my mom because of this show. She accepted me.. People like you think you know us and that really angers me
You make a valuable point but there are complaints of the complete opposite saying they are not lenient enough
My cousin is in ackley bridge

Who is it liar.

I've always wondered what's her ethnicity?
Aeisha Bibi she’s british and indian x
No she’s a British citizen yes she is British but she is of Indian descent not British and Indian.
Indian is not an ethnicity it’s a nationality. There are lots of different ethnicities living in India. I don’t know what her actual ethnicity is but she’s of Indian descent.
Sal m that’s what I’ve been thinking ...
I didn’t say you have to be born in India dumbass. I said she’s of Indian descent that means she’s not White, she’s descended from India/Indian subcontinent. She’s an Asian/South Asian and a British national. You don’t have to be born in the UK to be British either. Anyway it doesn’t matter that she’s British. I am also British, I lived in London all my life. I’m fourth generation still I don’t feel like I belong here because I am not English by descent. I’m not actually really English by blood and neither is she. She looks far more Indian than most people I know though.
Anyone British / Indian that's lgbtq
I hope she inspires other homosexual Asian/Muslim girls & boys to be confident in there sexuality, & encourages acceptance of them among Asian Muslim communities.
No because it’s not accepted in our religion
Defo not Islam as it’s sinful.
@@Mazdaprincessx hey why tho?? genuine question
@@sumedhasquared i just said it’s sinful in Islam
@@Mazdaprincessx yeah, and why?
Cool lol:-)

How could she have been a fan if shes been in it since season 1?
she wasn’t in The story of tracy beaker
@@lulurppe7575 oh I thought she was talking about ackley lol
Please give nazzy her part back and dumping ground

Why is every Muslim character on TV gay or keeping a haram life secret from their parents? I'm sick of it, there are Muslims out there who can integrate perfectly with others and have done so their whole lives, whilst still following their faith properly? We're not all suppressed lesbians who wanna go out clubbing istg 😔
IKR it's so annoying it makes Muslims look as though they don't care about their religion and faith and as though we want to "fit in "
Ikkrrr it annoys me so much
So true why can’t there just be a Muslim character who is normal has a happy life and a good storyline smh
Is she indian?
Yes
gorj
We need to normalise it? That's says a lot about how abnormal this kind of behaviour is.
Excuse me?
Sorry idk what your referring to
Is she really gay?
no
@@avax9447 ok
It's wrong to be gay.. if your Muslim it's extremely not right, it's unacceptable.. allah swt made man to love a woman and a woman to love a man.. I pray you realise is this and that the day of judgement is good for you
Love is love at the end of the day. Black blue or red. Tall small round. I don't care
+Pretty Hussain atfu
The prophet you believe in married a girl when she was 6 and had sex with her when she was 9. He also condoned taking women as sex slaves. I see a lot of things wrong with that. I see nothing wrong with 2 consenting adults of the same sex loving each other. And if my mere human logic can see that, I'm sure if there's a God, he'll be able to see that too.
Anonyex Mous no he never stop chatting shit bro
Check your hadith "sis":
Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236
I know muslims who do some mental gymnastics when it comes to this issue and say girls aged differently back then so it was permissible, yet to outright just just say i'm chatting shit is really ignorant of you. You need to learn more about your own religion and not follow things blindly just because you've been indoctrinated.
My answer to those people who say it was ok back in the "prophet's" time is, if it is not mentioned in the quran or hadith that this was only to pertain to that time, then how are you supposed to determine whether ANY rules from that time are strictly pertaining to just that time. The quran and hadith are supposedly there to guide mankind for the rest of time. So either Islam is permitting paedophilia, OR everything is so open to interpretation that you may as well just live your life being the best person you can be and let people live their lives also. Just live freely and don't oppress others who are not hurting anyone else. After all, which God would look down on that?
