I love Maybelline’s 4 in 1 Glow Perfector! I use it as a BB cream and then add concealer where I need it, and add cream blush. It is a great summer look and gives my skin a natural glow with some coverage. I highly recommend!
If anyone out there is knowledgeable about dupes I would appreciate any tips on finding dupes for anything BECCA! I’m going to miss my under eye concealer when it goes and the light shifter dewing tint that I have used instead of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. I could practically do a full face with all my BECCA products and will no longer be able to replace them.

Bobbi Brown for its cream corrector and SkinFood for its dark circle concealer are looking good on me as Becca. Bobbi Brown is about $31, and SkinFood is about $12 on Amazon, you can give it try depending your budget.

Agree. I hate a dirty sponge that you can’t clean. Like wth maybelline. Your products are pretty much good all the time, you don’t need to try to add a sponge for marketing purposes WE DONT NEED THAT lol

I think we should rephrase the situation. We don't hate the dentist, we hate having cavities, weird things put in our mouths, and the pain and aftermath of having oral work done. The dentist is there to help us through the rough situations that come up and to help us avoid worse in the future. Another really good dupe for the CT is the Nyx tinted skin serum! I found the CT one accentuated my pores and looked rubbish, but the nyx serum is a really subtle glowy look that evens out the skin!
They do have similarities, but the CT one looks more glowy to me. Even with the full face of makeup. The Maybelline one looks like it has more of a "dull" glow in comparison to CT. I'd personally reach for my CT still to achieve the glow I go for. 🤗
The Maybeline seemed to give more coverage upon initial application but maybe just because it’s a slightly deeper shade. After you had the rest of your makeup done I couldn’t really tell the difference. I like the way the CT looked as a highlighter better. XO
I find that there are some drugstore illuminators that compare pretty well to the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (like the Lumi Glotion by Loreal and Revlon SkinLights). The Lumi Glotion gives such a pretty glass skin effect. I've used both the Flawless Filter and the Lumi Glotion, the Lumi Glotion is just as good. I personally liked the Charlotte Tilbury more than the Maybelline one on you. The Maybelline seems too subtle to me and the lightest shade isn't ideal for very fair skin.
I was nervous upon getting the Maybelline 4-in-1’s “Light” shade that it was still a tad too dark for me but it’s self-adjusting and blends into your skin tone which is nice!

No 7 illumator gives that glowy look that the charlotte tillbury gives. I mix it with my Wet N Wild tinted moisturizer. For days when I need lasting coverage in the heat, I mix it with the Too Faced Peaches and Cream foundation.
If you want a bit of coverage with a highlighter to be more like this CT one, use a drugstore highlighter and mix a tiny bit if concealer in with it to give it a tint and a touch of coverage. I do love this CT one but my favorite is the Becca backlight filter primer for an all over glow. I use both
I've just started on my 3rd bottle of the CT and it really suits me, so I'm not likely to try the Maybelline dupe. Plus I'm not keen on the sponge top and twist up container. The amount of times I've gently twisted, twisted again and then some more, and ended up with half the product in my lap 😠.

I bought the CT Flawless filter last year during the Sephora sale. I fell in love with it and it even works with my oily skin. The Maybelline perfector is a smaller size, so cost wise it's $19 per ounce to the CT $44 per ounce. The CT also has 12 shades vs 5 for Maybelline. Have you tried the Milani Soft Focus Glow? It's excellent, $10 for 1.59 ounces, but only 3 shades. It does have far superior packaging to the CT and Maybelline products. But yeah, there is something special about the CT flawless filter.
Absolutely despise that kind of packaging. If you don’t want to spend the money on the CT, try her mini version which has lasted forever for me. Also the CT does not claim to be a concealer? Weird. There is a reason why the CT is holy grail and everybody & their mother tries to dupe it.

I can’t imagine that holds true, however the CT isn’t one either and they make no claims that it is a concealer. It’s still a pretty product! I’d try the Maybelline for a light makeup day. You can’t help this and be glad you can’t; until you have deep wrinkles and crevices you won’t see the difference the pearlescent glow can make. And the pearlescent glow has to be just right without too much glitter, the right color glitter for your tone, the right weight of shimmer so it sets right on top, for it to not be chunky, for it to dry before you apply other products, and for it to stay and not mix with other products. I haven’t tried the CT product but I’ve been testing powder and liquid highlighters and bronzers on my entire face. So it begs the question spend the money on more expensive products or save for cosmetic procedures? I lean to procedures at this point because when you buy more expensive products it’s no guarantee it’ll look better. It’s more likely but not a guarantee. I think this is when the local beauty store is of help.
I cant compare, I so not own CT, I do absolutely love the Maybelline one though. I have been using it nonstop! I find my foundation lasts longer when I use it. It was hard to tell a difference on you. Both sides look incredibly similar. You looked beautiful as always XOXO 😘
Allie, you always do such an excellent job of blending and I like that you always refine every layer you put on your face (concealer, foundation, blush, etc.) by blotting with a sponge. Is that sponge dry or moistened (and blotted)?
Coming from some1 who HASN'T tried EITHER of these & going by AG's complexion - I would DEFINITELY prefer the Maybelline version because of the skincare routine I currently use. It comes across as a more subtle glow so hopefully it would take down the glow/oily look of my complexion l8r on N the day as opposed 2 what I use now.

I think the Charlotte Tilbury one looks better. I'm very fair so personally I don't think the Maybelline one would work for my skintone. I can tell it'd be way too dark on me. The Charlotte Tilbury one just seems like it sheers out more & that's more so what I'd want from that product. But I really enjoyed this video. Your makeup looks beautiful Allie! 💜

I think the Maybelline blends in much better than the CT. As a highlighter I can definitely see the C above the cheek on the CT side. I prefer a more blended look as it looks more natural.
I love the Maybeline’s glow product under the morphe skin hint tint, but like everyone else HATE the packaging. For sanitary reasons I always apply the product to the back of my hand and apply with my sponge. Hate the sponge tip applicator or the product oil that accumulates on the cap.

The CT one has a pearly glow, and the M one has a micro-glitter glow. Other than that, they are super close.
No 7 has an illuminating tube that i mix with my foundation to get that pearly look.

You can take the sponge off of most of them and just use it as a dispenser.

I think the sponge is a breeding ground for bacteria. I love the products, but not in love with the application tip.
Dupes can be great but does this one hold up to time and natural light? I think longevity and natural light is the acid test + oxidation.

Try the glow lotions from loreal. I would rather spend 50$ on this than on the ct

The Charlotte Tilbury is definitely worth the splurge. One of my favorite products ever!
CT gives a healthier look than the Maybelline, which gave a drying matte foundation look with micro glitter. It looked cheaper than CT for sure.

Thanks for the review Allie. Your dupe videos are always fun to watch. The Maybelline product claims that it’s also a concealer. I can’t imagine that holds true, however the CT isn’t one either and they make no claims that it is a concealer. It’s still a pretty product! I’d try the Maybelline for a light makeup day. You can’t help this and be glad you can’t; until you have deep wrinkles and crevices you won’t see the difference the pearlescent glow can make. And the pearlescent glow has to be just right without too much glitter, the right color glitter for your tone, the right weight of shimmer so it sets right on top, for it to not be chunky, for it to dry before you apply other products, and for it to stay and not mix with other products. I haven’t tried the CT product but I’ve been testing powder and liquid highlighters and bronzers on my entire face. So it begs the question spend the money on more expensive products or save for cosmetic procedures? I lean to procedures at this point because when you buy more expensive products it’s no guarantee it’ll look better. It’s more likely but not a guarantee. I think this is when the local beauty store is of help.

I cant compare, I so not own CT, I do absolutely love the Maybelline one though. I have been using it nonstop! I find my foundation lasts longer when I use it. It was hard to tell a difference on you. Both sides look incredibly similar. You looked beautiful as always XOXO 😘

Allie, you always do such an excellent job of blending and I like that you always refine every layer you put on your face (concealer, foundation, blush, etc.) by blotting with a sponge. Is that sponge dry or moistened (and blotted)?

Coming from some1 who HASN'T tried EITHER of these & going by AG's complexion - I would DEFINITELY prefer the Maybelline version because of the skincare routine I currently use. It comes across as a more subtle glow so hopefully it would take down the glow/oily look of my complexion l8r on N the day as opposed 2 what I use now.
I love the Maybelline. I use it everyday but it was hard to find in stores.

Do you think you could do a video on best cosmetics for more mature skin? I am leaving my 30's. My skin is dryer and is more sensitive than it used to be. Wrinkles are definitely highlighted with some liquid foundations. I tried some of the Laura Geller you showed in another video and love them.

I think the Charlotte Tilbury one looks better. I'm very fair so personally I don't think the Maybelline one would work for my skintone. I can tell it'd be way too dark on me. The Charlotte Tilbury one just seems like it sheers out more & that's more so what I'd want from that product. But I really enjoyed this video. Your makeup looks beautiful Allie! 💜

I think the Maybelline blends in much better than the CT. As a highlighter I can definitely see the C above the cheek on the CT side. I prefer a more blended look as it looks more natural.

I use Glossier Futuredew mixed with a little bit of tinted moisturizer and it gives me the glassy pearly skin effect

I love the Maybeline’s glow product under the morphe skin hint tint, but like everyone else HATE the packaging. For sanitary reasons I always apply the product to the back of my hand and apply with my sponge. Hate the sponge tip applicator or the product oil that accumulates on the cap.
