That's part of the reason I love your channel. I don't care how much something costs, it's either good or not and nowadays drugstore prices are creeping up as much as high end almost
So true! I hate when influencers will mostly use high end products and then in an effort to be "relatable" will throw in a drugstore video and will have the attitude of "It's good for the price!" No no no.....I want something good, plain and simple. If it is a good products and it is expensive, I will try to find a way to afford it. I always had such a hard time contouring and then someone recommended using the Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder and oh my gosh. Is it hella expensive? Yes, very much so. It's the same with the Mac Face and Body foundation. It is pricier than drugstore, but for me it is worth every penny.
I keep turning my makeup-loving friends onto Amanda and they ask me for recommendations for other channels like her, and I really struggle...I just don't think there's anyone on the same level of effort and quality as she is. Don't get me wrong, there's other UA-camrs I really like, but Amanda is actually on another level. I mean the content speaks for itself 😍😍😍
The only person I can think of is Matilda on Video. She's an australian youtuber who focuses more on high end makeup and skincare (Dior, Fenty, Charlotte Tilbury etc.). Her videos are very minimalist; she never shows her face and uses swatches to show how products look and work. Her voiceovers are incredibly soothing. She does everything from videos focused on one kind of product (like red lippies) to brand overviews, and even swatching entire new lines. She's also been focusing more on brand inclusivity lately, considering shade ranges and even highlighting BIPOC brands. Couldn't recommend her more!
@@ReignBeauofTerror yeah Matilda is great! The only thing I don't get from her is the accurate face swatches I get with Amanda. Oh, I also think Karima McKimmie is on the same level .
Just had one of the best meals of my life (truffles, wild mushroom mozarella, parmesan with rocket pizza) in my cosy silk jammies.. then amanda z's video popped up! What a wonderful evening. 😍
I would love to see you talk about the PF healthy foundation! It was one of my absolute favorite foundations before it got discontinued, I loved it more than any high end foundation
PF the healthy foundation was my obsession. It always worked easily and looked so good without fail. I bought back ups when I saw it was being discontinued and am so happy it is back! Yes, please repurchase and feature it 😁
I have quite a few high end cream blushes and the honest beauty ones blow them all out of the water (bought them at Amanda’s recommendation ofc). Seriously, they are such a gem I’m obsessed.
Lmao I've literally bought SO MANY things on Amanda's rec and loved every. Single. Product. I think it's because she describes everything so well I know exactly what I'm purchasing
Also Amanda, you should definitely try the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator. It's absolutely incredible, up to medium coverage, glowy skin. I prefer it over all my high end tinted moisturizers
Will you do the same thing but for products that cost a bit more? I hate to say “luxury” because I don’t mean hundreds for each product haha ... but just more “Sephora-like” prices.
Love that you do keep mentioning the Honest Beauty blushes because they are indeed as good as you say! Picked up the coral one on your recommendation ages ago and it’s a holy grail product!
The Undone Beauty water bronzers are stupid beautiful, and truly do not look like makeup!!! They are also cooling as they go on and they're so inexpensive!!! I first tried one color from Target, then went and ordered a back-up as well as one of each of the three colors for different times of the year...ug, SO GOOD!!!!
Watched a video of yours a few days ago where you reviewed the Morphe 2 skin tint... went out, bought it immediately and havent gone a day without it since!! You’re a great saleswomen lol
I recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos over the past days. This is actually my first ever youtube comment (I swear!) just to let you know how amazing I find your content. You seem like such a lovely person (inside and out) and your makeup is so natural and absolutely beautiful. I actually already purchased a couple of products based on your reviews (guess which blush!) and cant wait for them to arrive. Unfortunately I cant purchase them over the affiliate links since I am based in Europe. Keep on making such amazing content 💕
The Morphe 2 skin tint has been my favorite foundation since it came out. I have acne prone skin, and it's natural, yet has just enough coverage to cover what I need to, with a really beautiful finish. Love it!
I really loved this video and enjoy your channel! I have a video idea that sort of goes along with this "new to makeup" theme: I feel confused about which makeup brushes I actually need and when it's enough to just use your fingers to apply a product. Would love it if you went over brushes you "need" and what kinds of products you would use them for!
Love this! I have so many of these based on previous videos!! Great products. You need to try Revlon pot eye shadow in the shade Caramel. It’s a must one eye look shade!
I wish we could buy some of the products in Germany. A product that I think is so underrated or forgotten about are the NYX prismatic eyeshadows. Very smooth and glowy especially for a powder shadow. Not a huge colour selection but really beautiful shades.
Can you try the believe beauty cream blushes they are very affordable and supposed to be very pigmented! Also, try more kbeauty like etude house, missha (their glow cushion is supposed to be really good), peach c, etc.
I have both Maybelline Bad to the Bronze and High Roller. They are only ever so slightly different... High Roller is a touch warmer, more bronzey where as Bad to the Bronze is slightly cooler and (on my skin tone) a little more olive-y but they are close enough that no one would ever be able to tell the difference on the eye. Hope that helps!
You are my favorite beauty guru! :) I love all of your swatches I realize that they are perfect because not only do you zoom in so we can see how the product behaves, but the lighting is perfect and the colors are amazingly true and all of that done in such a simplistic way that it truly makes it look effortless. I just want you to know that I so appreciate all of the hard work that you put in these videos! Thank you! Also you are so adorable and your voice is so soothing it helps me forget for a minute my hectic life. THANK YOUUUU! 😊👯♀️💐
Based on your recommendation from another video, I tried the Morphe foundation and it’s one of THE BEST sheer formulation for a drugstore product. It’s fabulous and most definitely equals with even the Chanel les beige water tint foundation or the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. Compared with Chanel Les beige water tint foundation it’s a bit less dewy and actually has a bit more coverage than Les beige. I can easily apply it with my hands, looks seamless ...it does not look as if I am wearing makeup because it evens out the skin, feels light, doesn’t amplify texture or pores and lasts very well throughout the day. Thank you for this great gem... I can’t say enough good things about it and what a great value for money! Btw, I actually love the dropper ☺️.
Never stop Amanda! Love your demos for each product, so helpful. I have the Flower Beauty blush bomb in the shade Nectar and I find it to be very pigmented and more matte than most of my cream blushes. Might have to grab melon for spring!
The loreal Paris Rogue signature lipsticks ( they are the liquidy ones ) they are a more stain like - watery lipstick. I apply them with the applicator and then blend them in with my finger and they create a beautiful natural - ever so slightly satin stain. ( My favourite is 'I explore' )
The maybelline color tattoo shade bad to the bronze was actually called “on and on bronze” in Germany which confused me a lot because I used to own it and saw American youtubers talk about a bronze shade that I thought didn’t exist here. And now they changed the name again? XD
I’ve looked for The Healthy Foundation replacement for over a year. The Butter Believe it is good, but a little too thick. You’ve changed my makeup life by confirming The Healthy Foundation is still available at select retailers. Thank you THANK YOU!
I love that you do demos. It is so helpful thank you! Also I don't have high roller but I live in the UK and bad to the bronze isn't discontinued here but we can't get high roller so I'd guess you're right and they're the same shade! X
Thank you for all the work you do putting your videos together. I love how you always put in you using the product. I have so many of these on my wish list for when my no buy is over. Saving this to look back on.
Another great video. I have L’Oréal bad to the bronze and love it but it dried out so fast. Getting more into cream shadows now. The thrive causemetics highlighter stick shadows are gorgeous. I have the shades MUNA/ beautiful and Stella, a pretty champagne color I use as inner corner highlight and under brow. I’m Giotto try got 2 be gel trick and see how I do. I am such a beginner it’s crazy. Love all the tips I can get!
I had a bad experience with Ulta powder shadow in the past, but these Ulta cream products look amazing!! I’ll definitely check them out. Thank you for your recommendations.
Great video! I'm definitely going to be picking up the Morphe skin tint. I was also wondering if you could maybe review the Milani Strobelight liquid highlighter in the second shade to see how it compares to the Charlotte Tilbury beauty light wand in Spotlight. I've been wondering for awhile if they are at all similar to each other.
Re: Blush Bombs--I have three shades (Cinnamon, Nectar, Melon), and Cinnamon has the most dew (not balmy, it dries down a decent amount but keeps a soft glow), where both nectar and melon dry down to a satin, natural matte type finish. I had a swatch of nectar on my hand yesterday and it didn't come off after rubbing it under hot water, I needed a makeup remover!
Flower beauty pinch blush single handedly made me a blush girl. I have dry skin and powdered blush never looked good on me. Btw pinched is dewier compared to the other colors. I am medium golden skin tone and it shows up on my skin but my fav has to be bubbly the pinky one
Hi first I love your content and affordable options are always welcome. Have you tried Halfcaked cream products I think you are going to love those and they're affordable
I try and love a lot of cream and liquid blushes but I always think of them in context of how they compare to the Honest. And I always come back to the Honest. They are just a standard IMO.
What eyeshadow are you wearing in the close up when you are using the got2b gel in your brows? It’s beautiful!! Love how you apply every product in close up 💜
I bought those Ulta Cream Eyeshadows because of you!!! I love them!!! They are shockingly good for the price point. I love how it has primer infused into it so it lasts all day. Love being able to layer regular eyeshadows on top of it. THANK YOU for your recommendations.
I love all these recommendations but WHAT is on your eyes at the end when you’re demoing the gel for the brows? It’s the most beautiful purplish something and I need it.
I’m curious about how the morphe skin tint compares to the rare beauty foundation- I’m torn! It doesn’t help that the rare beauty one is always sold out. You are convincing though ☺️
I am just getting into cream products. Loved this video, lots of great recommendations. I do have two of the Juicy Pang blushes from a’peu (spelling?) They are very nice, thinner in formula imo. Thanks Amanda! 💚
I always love your vids. Here's a trick I learned kind of by accident: I use the Milani eye primer UNDER my eyes before I use concealer. I'm going to try that Undone concealer next. Everybody loves it.
If you love the Apieu lip tints, you should definitely check out Romand's juicy lasting tint and glasting water tint too! They're hydrating, glossy lip tints with a great colour payoff❤️❤️❤️
Hey, Amanda! Have you tried the Burts bees cream blush? I just got the shade guava and though they are verrrry light, I think you might like them! I bet they'll be great for summer.
I used the Undone concealer but the packaging is so cheap the lid just snapped off one day 😭 it ended up getting all over my makeup bag. Very sad about the packaging, the product is so good! I love their water bronzer though, and I don’t feel like the packaging is cheap on that one!
Ugh I want to try undone beauty but it’s not available in Europe! I agree on Maybelline fit me, it was my favourite before I discovered the Kosas concealer. And the Honest beauty blushes are great, I prefer the shade Rose Pink, it’s the most natural looking.

thank you for noticing. she works hard every day.
