Even if you've become desensitized, or become cynical... all those mothers weeping for their children... there's no way I could ignore that.

+ziffulmyer I feel overwhelmed by the needless deaths...of children especially. Gun violence is such a small percentage. Starvation, disease, etc. I feel overwhelmed.

Agreed. The slaughter in Syria alone makes your comment valid.
Still... 20 innocent 1st-graders getting mowed down ....matters,
as does 50 young men and women murdered by a maniac in Orlando.
You can care about more than one thing at a time, ya know Richard ; )
It's not good if it overwhelms us... but we should care enough to bitch about it, or to write a strong letter to our representatives concerning drones dropping bombs on civilians in the middle east... or about Americans with mental problems having access to guns.
We should at least care enough to complain, IMHO
