Absolutely it can. This same process works on most rwd cars, the drain and fill ports might just be in different locations. Don't feel dumb for asking questions, we all have to start somewhere. That's why I make these videos, to share what I've learned.
You have to use a special pump because the transmission has a special fitting. You can pick up the pump at Walmart for 8 dollars I think. I'm actually going to be changing mine next week.
You know how many torque pounds to tighten the bolts? After changing this fluid what difference do you notice in the car is it faster? Does it have fast takeoff power now or something?
@@Mylifeinthepits ok I’ll start it. I have a q50 as well. It may be time because I hear and feel a weird vibration coming from the rear from time to time
@@Mylifeinthepits Tell me about it when I used my breaker bar to loosen the fill plug my socket literally flew off once it broke loose I thought I rounded the bolt. Doing the diff change on that f150 is going to be a pain but it will be completely worth it man.
appreciate you getting straight to the point unlike other tutorials, nice job man.
I make videos like I would want to watch. Make sure you hit that like and subscribe button. The support helps me keep making these!
Dumb question but can this be done on the rwd q50 as well? im completely new at this

@@MylifeinthepitsWas going to ask this same question, thank you so much!!
The pum will be the same as you change the automatic gearbox oil?

Mine was starting to lock up really hard under hard acceleration. Once I changed it, it went back to normal.
You didn’t mention how many liters the differential capacity
1.25 quarts.
What hose adapter did you get?
The pump? I just got one from Harbor Freight.
Never changed my diff fluid. I’m at 128k now. Should I do it ?
If it was me, I would.

@lowlifespore8993 that's probably a bushing on the diff that's worn out. That would let it move around.
Just noticed mine is leaking. Not dreaping yet. Might be the reason why it's clunking lol
Is this the R190 or R200 rear diff, thanks? Is your Q50 the AWD 3.5H Q50 Diff?
It's a 2015 Q50 AWD with the 3.7.
@@Mylifeinthepitsthanks. Same same then. Best
I did this on my Q50 and wow the drain and fill plugs feel like a damn torque wrench was used to tighten them 26lb ft•lbf my ass 😂
I'm always paranoid I'm going to break them or round them out. We are going to do my step dads F150 with 188k miles next week and I'm worried.

How many quarts were added ??
1.5
Can i use 75w-90 for a 2020 Q50 luxe rwd ?
Yes, almost all Nissan/Infiniti diffs should be the same.
Is this the same for 2014 q50? Thanks in advance!
As far as I know yes. It should be the same for almost any Nissan/Infiniti because they use this same diff in almost everything.
Was this a AWD q50
Yes
@@Mylifeinthepits so the fluid may be different for a Q60??
@@onieshianapoleon2547 should be the exact same.
Any ideas on the fluid brand the dealership actually uses??
Most OEM Nissan stuff is made by Idemitsu
😂😂😂 stink so bad lol
What size is the differential washer(s)?
I can't find exact size online, only the part numbers to order them from Infiniti.
You could take the old one to Advance or Autozone and they can match it up to the ones they have.
Can buy them from Z1 motorsports
