OMG Dude! I remember when IK multimedia T-Racks standalone plug-in came out dude that was 2001 and it was the first time I seen a plug-in where the tubes would go brighter with the signal LOL but I thought this would be the plug-in that would change my life.
Alright finished a mix, got my coffee, new Frightbox video and now I can't wait to learn and understand why my mixes are poo poo and how I can improve! Lol
NEW Guy Here! OK SO IM UPDATING MY OLD LAP TOP. 32 bit 3 gig ram Windows 10 2.6 amd Dual core. NEW LAPTOP- 8 gig ram ( doing 16) windows 10 64 bit, i7 2.9 gHz. Othere then being able to get 64 bit plugins now 😀 is this a major upgrade for 🎸 playing and mixing?!? My interface um22 and reaper ran like KAH KAH lol. Ty guys
Hey, thanks Bobby. I actually use Tape emulations to reduce the high end and beef the lows, but I do tend to use bright modern metalcore as references (latest invent Animate songs for this mix) so it becomes a little too bright. As for the feedback, I agree 100% it should be rolled off. I'm mainly working on headphones but do have access to speakers that help find sub/high end issues. My master is too loud for a release, I was mostly just surprised it turned our as clear as it did, I was trying to kill the drum transients some more but it just stays punchy🤣. As for vocals, I have yer to find a screamer for any of my songs (finished that is) so I mainly work on templates that I will use to write songs once someone is available or I have a decent income to pay for them. I should at least provide you with a full song though, that's a great point and it's a bad habit of mine. Thank you again Bobby. Hope to have a finished song by this time next year at the latest!
I think the main reason why my mixes don't translate it's because I have no idea what I'm doing, but I still check my mix in every system possible, even with acoustic treatment and subwoofers I still like to make sure it sounds nice everywhere. Nice mixes! Cool video!
I got in on the Mix Crypt a few months ago after you critiqued a mix I emailed in and I really enjoy being able to practice on the multi-tracks you have, but I probably won't renew next year because I didn't realize all the community stuff was only on Facebook and without that there's not much interactivity to membership. It'd be a bitch and a half to migrate or host a 2nd community but maybe you could field some volunteers from your non-Facebook contingent to help you moderate some of the rest of us on like Discord or elsewhere? Call them Crypt Fiends or something?

There’s a few I want to send you. I use reaper and my band is a mix between a day to remember, bullet for my Valentine, Veil of Maya, and Carnifex.

Sounds like a great idea! As of right now, most people prefer the Facebook group..but I'll definitely keep that in mind for the future 🤘
It would be less work for you to just get a Facebook account…
I’m a member, but super out on Facebook. I just refuse to use the app. Could migrate to Discord pretty easily.
