Awsome, i follow these highlights on youtube as an American motocross racer for years I really am a Herlings fan because i respect the talent of riders just like i do of Prado and Jetteson Lawrence. Jeffrey Herlings is one of my all time favorites and I enjoyed watching him come over and put a smashing on these guys a couple years ago for the last MX race of the year. To see him tuff it out through the mud like a boss, pasing the points leader just shows you that he isn't done yet.
My man The Bullet does well when he gets a decent start. Go!!!
Watching the Coenan bros and Dewolf is so entertaining. I hope all 3 of them come over here to the USA

Love the mud! I've seen ruts go from 6" to 6' at Hollister Hills. Knees tucked under the bars, pegs dragging. Hang town was no better.

Herlings is the only guy I feel has a decent shot at being a perennial contender in SX or MX. moreso mx, sx is entirely different ball game.

Listen to the commentary. He was originally the winner, but the penalties came through after the podium. That’s when the points were changed and Gajser had more.

Taking those positions from those dudes is such a joke. They can already barely see in those conditions and that marshall was completely behind that pillar. Great racing though this year is action packed!

He won overall and got the trophy and anthem, but then the news came through of the penalties that gave Gajser the win.
Is it different in MXGP? Is there no such thing as a red cross flag? Because since when does a yellow flag mean anything more than "caution ahead"?
if yellow flag is waved it means no jumping or overtaking
You can't wave a yellow flag behind a jump and asking riders not to double jump
And the huge puddle they were going through, looks like they could barely see it but I guess others saw it

we need to take a look at the sport collectively and ask ourselves why we are still using flags as the primary safety method for downed riders. Especially in the mud where we all know how hard it is to see. Lets implement better technology as a safety requirement. just like you have to have a helmet.

In spain it rains more than in italy according to spanish wikipedia, and it rains around the same mm as in the estonia and neighbouring countries area, and it is quite similar to how much it rains in the Netherlands too

Na. They are obviously good enough or they wouldn't be lapping them. When it's muddy like that in there's like one good line you got to get out the way
